My Hero Academia is set to return with a brand-new title in 2026, even as the anime approaches its final chapter.
As reported by Oricon, Japanese developer KLab is officially set to release a brand-new My Hero Academia mobile game some time next year. Although there are currently no details regarding what the game will entail, it is noted that the upcoming work is being developed under an official license from the My Hero Academia production committee and is expected to be distributed via a global release model, excluding mainland China. It will also be based specifically on the My Hero Academia anime series.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle is on the verge of making history as the first theatrical anime movie to gross $1B worldwide. The pipe dream is now closer to reality, thanks to Infinity Castle's surprising brand-new release, which has just surpassed the likes of Avengers: Endgame.
Following the shocking announcement that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be released in China on Nov. 14, the film's presales have surpassed Disney's biggest box office hit from its massive superhero franchise. Per FranSpeech on X (formerly Twitter), Infinity Castle's presales reached ¥20M, equivalent to $2.8M in the U.S., within five hours with minimal advertising. Demon Slayer's Chinese presales have reached $3M, as confirmed by Davi de Moraes on X, and the film is currently on track for a $200M opening release. In April 2019, Avengers: Endgame earned over $100 million on its opening day in China.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is #1 at the North American box office, knocking out prestigious releases from Disney and the like with an impressive $17 million in its first opening weekend.Per Variety, Chainsaw Man: The Movie continued Sony's box-office anime dominance with an opening-weekend haul of $17.2 million from 3,003 North American theaters. This is the second big win for Sony's anime-distributing brand, Crunchyroll, following the jaw-dropping domestic success of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle. However, the box-office weekend from Friday, Oct. 24, to Sunday, Oct. 26, was anything but good news for Disney, as its big-screen musical biopic of Bruce Springsteen flopped in theaters.

One Piece fans waiting to complete the "Zou Island" arc on Netflix finally have a release date. The streaming service is soon set to add the arc's final batch of episodes, allowing subscribers to stream the entire saga on the platform starting this November.The anime's "Zou Island" arc follows the Straw Hat crew as they arrive on an island situated on a giant sentient elephant named Zunesha. The island is home to the Mink Tribe, whose nation is found in ruins after a devastating attack by the Beasts Pirates. The events of the arc lead to major revelations about the Road Poneglyphs, while also setting the stage for the "Wano" arc. Netflix has notably divided the "Zou Island" arc into three parts for its platform -- Season 25 (Episodes 751-760), Season 26 (Episodes 761-771) and Season 27 (Episodes 772-782). The first two parts of the Zou Arc began streaming on Oct. 1, and according to What's on Netflix, the concluding batch of episodes is officially listed for a Nov. 1 release.

Courtesy of their latest update, One Piece has given its best look yet of two Giant icons, Dorry and Brogy. It's the latest new look as the series continues to hype season 2's arrival in 2026.
The shot is a striking glimpse at their enormous stature as they are featured in the Little Garden Arc. Although it was one of the biggest new anime of 2015, One-Punch Man has fallen so far from grace that it's barely a shadow of its former self. The anime barely left an impact on the zeitgeist, and former fans now act like it doesn't exist. This mostly has to do with One-Punch Man Season 2's controversial animation, but this is not the only factor that drastically tanked the once-popular anime's reception and reputation.
Now, six years later, One-Punch Man Season 3 has the chance to save the anime. But based on what One-Punch Man Season 3, Episode 1, "Strategy Meeting," has to show, redemption isn't coming any time soon, if at all. "Strategy Meeting" confirms fans' worst fears about the anime's current state and its most likely future. At this rate, it won't be surprising if One-Punch Man becomes Fall 2025's biggest dud.

While 2025 wasn't the worst year to be a Dragon Ball fan, mainly thanks to Dragon Ball DAIMA, it has been a rough one for fans of the Dragon Ball Super manga. Continuing its extended hiatus, which began in 2024 following the passing of Akira Toriyama, only a single new chapter of the manga released in 2025. Now, with the year close to ending, and there still being no sight of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 105, it's clear that major changes are happening.
With the end of 2025 comes the end of an era for Dragon Ball Super, and the beginning of a new one. 2024 will go down in history as the final year that new Dragon Ball anime episodes and manga chapters at least partially written by Akira Toriyama were released. When the Dragon Ball Super manga eventually returns, most likely with the long-awaited Black Frieza Saga, it will be the beginning of a new era, one where the future of the most famous Shonen series of all time will solely be guided by Toyotarou.

Oshi no Ko Season 3 will premiere in January 2026. However, the dark anime idol thriller is being released on a different streaming service than its usual home on HIDIVE.
The new season of Oshi no Ko will premiere on Crunchyroll in January 2026. Crunchyroll made this surprise announcement during the Crunchyroll Showcase panel at New York Comic Con 2025 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Manhattan's West Side. A new official Oshi no Ko Season 3 trailer debuted at NYCC 2025, revealing its brand-new streaming home.
Crunchyroll's description of Oshi no Ko Season 3 reads: "The story enters a new stage. It's been six months since 'POP IN 2' was released. Thanks to MEM-Cho's hard work, B-Komachi is about to get their major break. Aqua is a multi-talented entertainer, and Akane's career as a talented actress is going smoothly. In a new interview, Solo Leveling light novel author Chugong has hinted that a new movie based on the series is in the early stages of creation.
Following the release of Solo Leveling’s second season, fans have been concerned about the future of the anime. While the franchise remains strong with video game releases, the continuation of the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok sequel manhwa, and a newly announced live-action Netflix adaptation, Solo Leveling Season 3 still doesn’t have an official release date. Chugong’s new statements may explain why Season 3 is taking so long if a new movie is indeed on the way.

A new mass piracy shutdown has several of the world's top illegal anime streaming sites in its crosshairs. AnimesHeaven (a mirror site of the older AnimeHeaven), 1xAnime, AnimeKai, Anoboy, 123animehub, and over 200 other movie and TV streaming sites were named in a targeted global domain sweep.
Torrent Freak reports that a court in India gave movie and television rights holders the power to force domain registrars worldwide to suspend hundreds of pirate streaming sites and their mirrors. The aim is to 'slay the hydra,' essentially cutting off the ability for the sites to reappear elsewhere -- a common tactic seen when piracy sites get taken down in one location. This is a substantial blow to online piracy in general, but when it comes to anime, it means that illegal viewing sites will become even harder for fans to rely on in the near future. Popular anime streaming sites such as AnimesHeaven, 1xAnime and Anoboy are big targets, and many of the 200+ sites listed have already been temporarily disabled or had content removed.

The official website for the anime of Atsushi Ohkubo's Fire Force manga posted on Friday a new visual and the January 9, 2026 premiere date for the second and final cours (quarter of a year) of the anime's third and final season. The anime will air on the Animeism block on MBS, TBS, and CBC, with the latest episode streaming on Netflix after they air on those channels.The first part of the final season premiered on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS on April 4. Netflix is exclusively streaming the anime in Japan, with each episode debuting after the TV broadcast.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. Crunchyroll is also streaming an English dub.

After a six-year wait, One-Punch Man Season 3 is finally ready to make its premiere. The long-awaited continuation of Shonen Jump's superhero parody will be available across several streaming platforms for U.S. and international fans.
OPM Season 3 will premiere on numerous streaming services on Oct. 12, 2025. According to Variety, the new season of One-Punch Man will be available in North America on Hulu/Disney+, while the series will be available for Canadian Disney+ subscribers. In January 2024, Studio Trigger's Delicious in Dungeon anime series joined Netflix's expansive anime catalog. Now, the hit fantasy IP has branched out to Crunchyroll for the company's brand-new manga app.
As detailed in a recent press release, Crunchyroll subscribers in the U.S. and Canada can now purchase a new premium add-on that features dozens of fan-favorite works, including the original Delicious in Dungeon manga by Ryoko Kui. Other noteworthy titles include The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, The Apothecary Diaries, Black Clover, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, One Piece, My Happy Marriage, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8 and My Hero Academia, among numerous others. Popular anime streaming site HiAnime is listed as a "priority notorious streaming site" in a new list of piracy sites being targeted by the U.S. court system.
As seen via Torrent Freak, the Motion Picture Association published a response for public comment dated Oct. 1, 2025, by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative for "submissions from the public on notorious markets outside of the United States." Among these submissions is a list of "Priority Notorious Linking and Streaming Sites," which includes HiAnime along with platforms such as Myflixerz and Cuevana. HiAnime is still widely considered the world's largest anime piracy site, with its monthly views outstripping the likes of Disney+ in January this year.
The official description for the platform from the MPA statement reads, "Hianime, formerly known as Zoro[.]to and Aniwatch[.]to, has a global ranking of 159 with 244.2 million visits from 17.54 million unique visitors in August 2025, according to SimilarWeb. The site provides access to a range of content, especially anime content. The hosting location is masked using Cloudflare’s reverse proxy, but the site is currently believed to be operated from Vietnam." HiAnime is listed as a "priority" site on the new report, alongside Myflixerz/Sflix and Cuevana.biz/is, while additional new entries to the list include the likes of Anime-Sama and Kisskh.co/kisskh.ovh.

Anime films have had a landmark year in 2025 with two of the biggest franchises in the game releasing their most anticipated movies practically back-to-back. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle broke records worldwide, and now the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie is on a similar path. Although both movies showcased just how brilliant they are in their industry, the new Chainsaw Man movie wins out as the better experience over Infinity Castle.Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is beautifully made, with its high points showcasing breathtaking animation and gorgeous fight sequences. However, Infinity Castle's greatness is consistently disturbed by pacing challenges that ultimately weren't handled as well as they could've been. Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc circumvents this problem by not tiring its audience with unnecessary and abrupt backstories or expositions. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle may have carried more hype and set impressive records, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc will go down in history as the better film once the hype dies down and the world weighs in.
