In a new interview, Solo Leveling light novel author Chugong has hinted that a new movie based on the series is in the early stages of creation.

Following the release of Solo Leveling’s second season, fans have been concerned about the future of the anime. While the franchise remains strong with video game releases, the continuation of the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok sequel manhwa, and a newly announced live-action Netflix adaptation, Solo Leveling Season 3 still doesn’t have an official release date. Chugong’s new statements may explain why Season 3 is taking so long if a new movie is indeed on the way.
