February was busy, so we are giving you a (very) belated Valentine's Day gift. It's just us talking about our favorite rom-coms between the 80s & 00s. Sorry, but I don't know how to get a box of chocolates to you.
Whether your favorite trope is friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, or bet-with-his-buddies-gone-wrong, there's a little something for everyone. Make sure you share with us your faves in the comments!
How is it possible that 2015 was 10 years ago? It simultaneously feels like it was last week and also a lifetime ago. Must be all the collective trauma.
In this episode, we talk about some of the top music, movies, & tv shows of that year. Because we had such a good time with it last time, we play another round of Smash or Pass.
OH! And Bri's dog (Smeagol) also makes an appearance this episode, so don't miss it. Smeagol would really be sad if you did.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! Wasn't it great to wake up on Christmas and see all the things that Santa brought you? Sigh. The good old days. From a purely selfish perspective, we chat about our favorite 90s toys and some of the memories surrounding them. Whatever holiday you celebrate (or even if you don't celebrate any), we hope this season treats you well. Here's to many more memories being made in 2025!
No surprise here! We are chatting today about popular Thanksgiving traditions with some fun facts sprinkled in. Whether you are traveling, staying home, or totally spacing out as your Uncle Randy yells at the Detroit Lions on tv, we hope you enjoy your holiday. Share in the comments your favorite Thanksgiving tradition.
Warning: Don't listen to this episode if you are hungry. We continue our conversation about our favorite snacks and drinks when we were growing up. Hopefully this episode will temporarily provide momentary relief from US election coverage (especially if you're in a swing state) Leave a comment and share your favorite! Godspeed until next time.
Are you even a millennial if you don't refer to your food as nom noms?
In this episode, Bri and Erica chat about some of the snacks that hold a special place in our hearts. Whether it was our favorite cereal to eat while watching our favorite Saturday morning cartoons or the snacks that would make you the envy of the lunch table, there are so many deliciously sugary or sodium-filled items that brought us joy. Some of them even are still on our grocery store shelves. Go treat yourself and be a kid again!
Hiya, folks! What's it been, like a year? Maybe 5? We don't know, but we sure missed it. In his teeny tiny minisode, Bri and Erica catch up, recap what they've already covered on the show, and discuss the future of the podcast. We hope you're excited as we are.
WHAT'S UP, Y'ALL!? We're back to wrap up our season on Disney TV shows. Listen as we discuss the possible changing of some things for future of the podcast as well as the shows on the docket today. Bri covers The Jersey & Even Stevens while Erica covers Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven. Which one was your favorite?
If you aren't a fan of our banter or what we discuss in upcoming episodes, please feel free to skip to around the 13 minute mark where we start digging into the talk on the shows.
There will be some changes going forward with the show, so please make sure you follow us on our social media accounts for updates.
THANK YOU!
You guys! We had the honor and privilege of interviewing two incredible women, one of them just happens to be a former Mouseketeer! That's right. We have Jennifer McGill and Summer Simmons, of the Club Rewind podcast, on the show with us. Jennifer and Summer are life-long BFFs. We talk about their experiences with the All New Mickey Mouse Club, their careers, and what they are doing now. They were so fun and so cool to chat with. Please make sure you follow them and listen to their podcast for way more details than what we could get into in this interview. We really enjoyed being able to chat with these two-powerhouses.
WE'RE ALIVE! WE'RE STILL HERE! This is the first of our 2-part season finale. In this episode we catch up with each other, how we've been dealing with life, and some of the earlier live-action tv shows we millennials might recall, like.....oh, say, I don't know....Mickey Mouse Club? The show that launched the careers of some of our favorite entertainers? Amongst that, some other ones like Teen Angel, Flash Forward, and Famous Jett Jackson. Listen to hear our takes on those shows, how Erica likes her pickles, and Bri's thoughts on the Eras Tour. We'll be back soon to wrap up the season! Thanks!
Ever had one of those shows that you watched as a kid, but it seems like no one else knew what you were talking about when you describe it to them? That's kind of what we're talking about today. We're calling them Fever Dream Shows, because we weren't convinced they were real. Perhaps we were too young when they were first out, or perhaps not even a twinkle in our dad's eye. We had a lot of fun discussing Welcome to Pooh Corner, The Wuzzles, Under the Umbrella Tree, and Adventures in Wonderland. Listen and find out how weird we were as children (I mean, we're weird adults too).
Here we are, folks! Miss us? We have a lot to cover in this episode. Today, we chat about the Disney TV shows that were based on Disney movies. To be honest, they all feel like fever dreams, but do you remember the Little Mermaid show? Aladdin? Heck, Mighty Ducks?! We all remember them fondly, but we are here to talk about how sometimes nostalgia sometimes paints a better picture than what was really going on. But hey, you can decide for yourself. Don't forget to share with us your favorite Disney shows with us over on our social media. Catch ya later!
YOU. GUYS! You probably thought we ghosted you like a bad Tinder date who stalks your Instagram stories for months. BUT WE'RE BACK (unlike your bad Tinder date)! We're excited to share this episode with you. We chat about some Disney cartoons we loved in the late 90s/early 00s like Recess, Pepper Ann, Proud Family, Kim Possible, and Phineas & Ferb. Listen as we struggle coming to terms with just how old we are (what else is new). OH! Also, you might be able to hear Bri's dog snoring in the background. If you count how many snores are in this episode and let us know, you might get a prize from us. We love you guys. We'll be back soon.
We hope you enjoy a little chaos and lots of movie quotes. That's what this episode is filled with...along with holiday cheer. We chat about our favorite Christmas movies and share some favorite memories. Literally as soon as we finished recording we both were upset we forgot to mention the Santa Claus and the ever-so-polarizing Die Hard. Please don't pull a Hans Gruber on us. Whatever your favorite December traditions are, we hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and treat yourselves to the rest and joy you deserve.
Back again with another trip down Memory Lane. This episode, we chat about some more Disney Channel cartoons that made our childhoods a little brighter: Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, and Gargoyles. We also discuss how different it is to watch these shows as an adult. Sometimes it leads you to wonder, "Why did I find this so amusing?" Or even, "Man. This really stood the test of time. The '90s were great." Honestly though...what we wouldn't give to be 6 years old watching Goof Troop with a bowl of Lucky Charms. Or maybe Cinnamon Toast Crunch. (This episode is not sponsored by General Mills. I'm just really hungry.) Now I'm off to go daydream about how cool it would have been to say, "Hi, I'm Brianne and you're watching the Disney Channel." *makes Mickey outline with magic wand*
Here we are again! New season! Lots of info and episodes coming at you in the weeks ahead. We asked, you answered, we listened to what you wanted to hear about so DISNEY CHANNEL TV it is! We're starting off the season strong with the OG shows like Duck Tales, Gummi Bears, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, and Tale Spin. Total classics. You're probably singing one of those theme songs in your head right now. Sorry we're not sorry.
Listen as Bri does mental gymnastics trying to explain the word "anthropomorphic" and tries to keep up with all the fantastic info Erica throws at us. Also stay tuned at the end for some cartoon quiz questions. Did you get them right?
We'll see you soon for episode 2!
*read in Stefon from SNL's voice* This minisode has EVERYTHING: lame excuses as to where we've been, obnoxious laughter, Bri's dog singing in the background, and discussion of all the spooky tv shows and movies that get us in the festive spirit. We're back with another mini episode about our favorite pop culture things that make us feel excited for the spooky season! Hopefully you're all ready and have your costumes. Bri's already calling the hottest costume of the year to be CORN (a big lump with knobs)! Cuz just like Lizzo, we gotta blame it on our juice.
If there's anything we missed, let us know over on our social media. Don't be scared. Creep it real, y'all.
Back in our day, we didn't have TikTok to give us hilarious videos at a moment's notice. We had to use our dial-up internet to watch something on Ebaums World or YouTube. AND WE LIKED IT! It was like America's Funniest Home Videos at your fingertips, sans Bob Saget (RIP). So many of these millennial classics shaped our sense of humor and influenced pop culture. The next time you're standing in Chocolate Rain, on your way to Candy Mountain, or to go buy Shoes (and/or Muffins), just remember to thank the viral video gods for all the ridiculous laughs that have been bestowed upon our generation.
WHOOO! We made it to the end of the season! Of course all these movies aren't AAAAALLLL the movies that made us cry, but it's a good place to start...an amuse bouche, if you will. This episode we dive in to two early 2000s favorites: Remember the Titans and The Notebook. So many great lessons about respect, teamwork, and leadership learned from Remember the Titans. And well, in The Notebook we learned that two very flawed people can still find love. So maybe there's still hope for you! Cheers to you for sticking with us this season. We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have.
The late 90s were great! Dial-up internet, cable tv, Napster, playing outside with your friends until the street lights came on...and of course two more movies we are discussing today: Stepmom and The Iron Giant. Have you heard Bri cry in an episode yet? No, because it's a first. Don't worry. No blubbering. But the mood is lightened as we chat about a childhood favorite. Who knew Vin Diesel did voice acting before Groot? Speaking of "WHO," find out how The Who and The Iron Giant are connected. Lots of fun facts about that one! Catch you all next week as we wrap up this season! ~*MuAh*~
