Regenerative Mama Nancy Wallace
Former (or should we say REFORMED) vegan, Pilates Expert and Regenerative Advocate.  Nancy was a pleasure to speak to and I hope you enjoy this episode!  ALL ABOUT NANCY  Raised outside of Seattle Washington, I have always relished the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Exercising outside is one of my greatest joys. Naturally, it led me to a career in fitness. I am the owner of the first Authentic Pilates Studio in Bellevue WA. Nancy Wallace Pilates is the largest Pilates Studio in West Bellevue, and is fully loaded with top of the line Gratz Equipment. I also love food. I have always had the opinion that eating healthy can take the shape of many forms. The reality is, no matter what health program you are on, if the food is not born from healthy soil, then you are probably not reaping the potential health benefits of that food. As consumers, we have the power to change how food is farmed in America. With every purchase, we can become a wallet activist! From the bottom of my heart I believe health starts from the earth. Watching my children is a testament to that feeling.⠀ https://www.regenerativemama.com/

Episode 9: Lana Joe Salant and the Ethical Omnivore Movement (EOM)
I have been looking forward to this chat for a LONG time! I love the EOM page and often share their posts on our ranch Instagram and Facebook. Join us as we chat about the perils of Facebook and is it a dying platform, the importance of Regenerative Agriculture and supporting local, sustainable and seasonal and how we can support farmers. You can find EOM on Instagram under @EthicalOmnivoreMovement and on Facebook as EOM - Ethical Omnivore Movement AND under EOM Alliance. And the website is http://www.ethicalomnivore.org UPDATE: since recording this Instagram has deleted the EOM page, it’s back but has to start from scratch again. "Nutritionally, human beings flourish on an ancestral diet, where eating predominantly grain free, quality meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds is the focus. Food quality and mindful, INTENTFUL, eating habits result in decreased systemic inflammation, increased overall health, improved memory and decreased effects of aging. Livestock raised according to natural laws is not only necessary to our health ... but necessary for the planet."

Episode 7: A Butcher who USED TO BE a Vegan!
We are kicking off SEASON 2 with a bang!!! A (former) VEGAN BUTCHER!!! I had a great chat today with Ben from Legendary Meats. We chatted about Veganism, punk rock, ethical meat and KNOWING where your food comes from. I had NO IDEA he went from being a vegan of the "better than everyone" mindset to an amazing butcher who is passionate about his trade, and really understands the love and care that goes into every animal whether it be from a farm, a ranch or a homestead.  If you are in the Kootenays, Legendary Meats is a butcher shop in South Slocan and they have cut many of our carcasses. Go and check them out! If you want to try something different ask for Ben and he is happy to chat with and guide you.  (778) 454-2887 https://www.legendarymeats.ca https://www.instagram.com/legendarymeats

Episode 6: Regeneration Canada PART TWO

Continuing my discussion with Antonius Petro of Regeneration Canada. I am a big believer in everything happens for a reason and not forcing things. I have been wanting to get part two uploaded FOR MONTHS but it just never quite happened. Now, with the AWFUL article/video by the NYtimes on how Agriculture is destroying the environment that is causing quite a lot of backlash in the farming and ranching worlds, today seems the perfect time to publish. Antonius and I touch on climate change and the benefits of Regenerative Agriculture.

Please do get in touch with us at Waikikahei Ranch (www.waikikahei.com) or Regeneration Canada (https://regenerationcanada.org) if you want to know more and embark on your Regenerative Journey. (If you are in the USA contact me amy@waikikahei.ca and I can put you in touch with the American counterparts)

Episode 5: Regeneration Canada PART ONE
A great discussion with Antonius Petro, a Co-Director of Regeneration Canada. There was so much information in our hour long chat that I just couldn't edit it down to 30mins so I have split this one into TWO PARTS!  Regeneration Canada is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting soil regeneration in order to mitigate climate change, restore biodiversity, improve water cycles, and support a healthy food system. They strive towards this goal by creating spaces for farmers, landowners, scientists, agronomists, businesses, community organizations, governments, and citizens to learn, connect and take action to regenerate soils. https://regenerationcanada.org/
