Despite having what I would call "the best summer ever" filled with travel and friends, I personally experienced a significant amount of self-doubt and impostor syndrome, leaving me feeling deeply uncertain about my abilities and incompetent. This period, amplified by my emerging adulthood and the pressures I felt as a young woman—including prospective anxiety about the future and a constant feeling of needing to be perfect—led to much rumination and a cycle of self-criticism. As a Baháʼí, I even struggled with why I felt this way despite my spiritual beliefs. Let's talk about mindfulness and how it's proving to be the answer to the rising tides of anxiety throughout emerging adulthood.
Hello dear friend!
I have been in a small rut (when am I not at this point?) and have recently found habits and mindset shifts to help me become more present and content. The secret? I am accepting the complexity of humans and detaching myself from the consumer expectations of society. Life is more than products, money, and -core. Let's explore your complexity and potential by reflecting on the documentary I am Pauli Murray and building habits that connect you with your true self.

Episode Summary:
For the past couple of years, I've been diving deep into a spiritual topic that isn't discussed enough: angels, the next world, and departed souls. I'm don't mean in a woo-woo or superstious way, but rather in tapping into what 'Abdu'l-Bahá describes as "the divine confirmation and heavenly powers". In this episode, I'm sharing how I've personally been feeling the power of the next world and the angels in my daily life, allowing me to more deeply see confirmations and draw on my intuition, fostering a greater trust in God and the universe. Join me as I explore how this profound connection can bring guidance and a sense of protection, even in the most everyday situations, and how you can start to lean into this powerful spiritual aid yourself.
Here's a personal life update after a month-long podcast hiatus! Let me tell you a little about my experience at ISGP (Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity) seminar and my Summer favorites. A significant portion of my update centers on her gender communications class, where I give an unplanned commentary on the second-wave feminist movement, and how we may be missing the point on modern feminism and equality of men and women.
In this episode of Really Growing Through It, I talk about navigating through periods of sadness and feeling out of control. I realized I might be experiencing spiritual perfectionism, feeling like I'm never good enough in my spiritual habits rather than just striving for excellence. I also explore how a lack of spirituality can contribute to anxiety and depression, as highlighted by Lisa Miller's research. This connects to the idea of our twofold purpose: the importance of nurturing our inner spiritual being alongside our outward doing or service. Ultimately, I found insight in remembering that finding God's love can be as simple as knowing it is already within me, not just through constant doing

Ready for some vulnerable relationship tea? In this episode of Really Growing Through It, I reveal that I am in a long distance relationship! Let's chat about how this challenging experience is actually helping me grow personally and making the relationship stronger.
I'm getting vulnerable about how I'm learning to be my own person outside of the relationship and a more independent individual within it. How do you move away from anxious tendencies by understanding stuff like differentiation and finding emotional autonomy?
You'll hear about why I think commitment to the relationship itself is more important than being stuck in temporary sad feelings, and the importance of dreaming about the future together.
Share this with a friend who is also in a long distance relationship!
What does true coherence look like? What framework is guiding your life? Are you acting out of your basic self -- your reactions and thoughts are guided by thought-out principles aligned with your values, or are you giving up your basic self for your pseudo-self -- your reactions and thoughts are influenced by the environment and people around you? How can we have more coherence in our lives?
One small shift changed everything. This week, I’m sharing my top 4 habits and the secret ingredient that helped me reset my mindset, reconnect with myself, and feel like a whole new person—in just 7 days.
Imagine being so rooted in who you are that nothing shakes your peace. Let’s break down differentiation of self—the key to emotional freedom, better boundaries, and more positive relationships. Together, we’ll explore what it really means to raise your emotional maturity, respond (not react) in relationships, and what it really means to process our emotions independently.
Recording after an emotional low point, I share my experience of "crashing out" due to the pressure of pursuing an honors thesis and the pressure of college expectations. Let's chat about how important it is to feel and release emotions through crying and self-compassion.
