Join Rebekka today as she interviews Katherine, an experienced reseller with a lot to say about estate sales, seller to seller interactions, and her own observations of the industry.
A look inside of some first hand experiences I have had with resellers who didn't want to take responsibility for poor customer service: what can we do about it? Also, I discuss some of the real reviews that she has seen on Etsy that offers a glimpse into what is happening between resellers and their customers. Is fear ever a good enough reason to keep quiet? I don't think so, and I'll tell you what you can do about it.
Join Miranda and I as we sit down for an important chat that debunks and dissects many of the fabrications that the reselling community and their fans have used in attempts to quiet any opposition or questioning of their practices. You won't want to miss this important, hard hitting episode where we break down many of the commonly used defenses, coverups, and deflections used to justify their choices.

Join my friend Anna and I as we take a dive into the controversial world of of influencing in the vintage community and how far some people will go to get their name out there, including wearing things they don't even like and taking photos with people just for the clout. This fun episode is not for the sensitive, but none of my podcasts really are! If you've ever wondered about some of the issues my friend and I have discussed about the vintage community, give it a listen and subscribe! :)

Join me today as my friend, Dr. Dierdra Adduci and I discuss the psychological benefits of wearing vintage, why it's important to have access to the clothes and items we feel our best in, who is entitled to buy and wear vintage from second hand shops, price gouging and more! She is a therapist and has a lot to say. A jam packed episode you won't want to miss. Thank you for tuning in.

Let's talk about bullying: the why, how, and what to do about it in response to harassment and bullying I've received on my account for speaking about exploitative reselling practices. Thanks for joining as I do a mini episode on the harmful practices of certain reselling community members. Screenshots of everything I've mentioned can be found on my IG page or by messaging me.
I also need to make a correction. Thanks to the assistance of Dr. Dierdre Adduci's observations on Bullying I was able to articulate some great points. I also made a mistake in her credentials. She has her PhD in Counseling, not Psychology and is a therapist.
P.S. Sorry for the awkward ad break timing. :)

Join me while Miranda (Speaking for Desirae) and I discuss the complex world of reselling, social media influence, flipping culture, and even some tales from "the Bins". We address the complications that arise from the buyer's perspective when their items are unknowingly being "flipped" and when money becomes more important than personal etiquette and respect for your customers.

Join me today (for a long one!) as Gwendolyn and I discuss the ethics of reselling and much more! We cover how resellers operate at estate sales, the hoarding of vintage clothes (where does it all go?), the importance of community in the vintage scene and why these conversations are increasingly more crucial as time goes on.
During my first Fireside Chat I meet with Victoria, a twenty something vintage collector who casually sells and knows A LOT about the vintage community. Join us as we discuss poor customer service and seller to customer interactions, "holy grail" items and price gouging, gatekeeping in the vintage community, and how the scene has changed dramatically in the past five years. We also discuss how some resellers are requesting specific items for their collections to sell, almost like "thrift store fashion shows". It's going to be a fun one!
Welcome, friends. I am so excited to announce the very first episode of Other People's Things! In this episode, I give an overview of why I am here, who I am and what I aim to dissect/discuss in the course of this podcast. My sister and I discuss our childhood, where we spent most of our free time at the thrift stores, and how it has led me to loving vintage and becoming an expert in my own right. I also discuss social media and how it brought me to be so passionate about reseller/flipper culture and the exploration of its many manifestations. Thank you for joining us.
