Jessica Jones 305 Review "AKA I Wish" by Defenders TV Podcast

I wish this wasn't the last season of the Defenders but we are here with our Jessica Jones 305 Review. We discuss our Top 5 Case Notes about AKA I Wish, the fifth episode of Season 3.

Sallinger watches over his prey

Jessica Jones 305 Review "AKA I Wish" Spoiler Filled Synopsis

Written by : J. Holtham

Directed by : Mairzee Almas

Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) and Jessica Jones (Kristen Ritter) come to an uneasy agreement to work together to stakeout Gregory Sallinger’s (Jeremy Bobb) apartment as Jessica needs an anonymous person to help track him.

Meanwhile, with the release of damaging information, Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) miscalculates her attack on Kith’s husband Peter (John Benjamin Hickey). He blames her for Kith (Sarita Choudhury) walking out on him and then exposes Hogarth and Associates as protectors to superhuman vigilantes before taking his life. As Jeri lays low in her home and Kith distances herself from Jeri, Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville) begins to realise his part in the death of Peter Lyonne.

Back at Alias Investigations, with the help of Gillian’s (Aneesh Sheth) insightful mind, Trish and Jessica compare notes and grizzly photographs taken from Sallinger’s apartment. They soon realise that he has been slowly murdering people over a 10-year period. With the help of (a less  insightful) severed hand borrowed from the morgue and thrown through Sallinger’s apartment window they discover he has been storing the severed bodies of his victims in a tanker by the railway tracks.

As Jessica and Trish follow him to his body hideout, Sallinger flips their trap. It almost costs Jessica her life, but Trish comes to the rescue as she chooses to save her sister instead of following her target. Having escaped capture Gregory Sallinger goes after his next victim, burger maker extraordinaire and Jessica’s new distraction, Erik Gelden (Benjamin Walker).

Jessica Jones 301 Review Podcast Spoiler filled Synopsis

Written by: Melissa Rosenberg

Directed by: Michael Lehmann

After her mother Alisa (Janet McTeer) was killed by a well meaning Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is trying to live up to the Hero tag that her mother gave her. When Dorothy Walker (Rebecca De Mornay) hires Jessica to find her missing daughter, she discovers that Trish is living her dream as a hero and wants Jessica to give up.

Malcolm Ducasse (Eka Darville) has a new job, working as a fixer (and sometimes an investigator) for an ailing Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss) and her high end clients. While Jeri struggles with her ALS and how close she is to her end, Malcolm questions his choice to go into business with her.

Also questioning her decisions Jessica meets a carnivorous new friend, Erik (Benjamin Walker), who wants to teach her how to make the perfect burger. It might not have been a euphemism when they met but Jessica is more than hoping to seal the deal with Erik until a knock at her door from a masked assailant with a knife leads to Jessica bleeding out on the floor as Malcolm rushes to help.
