Emmy is such a special NBC mama with a MASSIVE story to tell of her journey through her pregnancy and birth with NBC. Her first babe was what she describes as a traumatic birth experience, ending in an emergency C-section. This birth included ALOT of struggles, unplanned adaptation and shock, leading to Emmy’s experience of postnatal depression.
Accidently only 6 months after she became pregnant with her second baby, where Emmy experienced the most empowering, intuitive led, healing home birth VBAC experience you could ever imagine (not even being dramatic.
Due to the sheer detail and depth of Emmy’s experience, we recorded the first podcast then realised (after 3 hours) we had left out so bloody much of her experience! So there is a part 2 following soon with the extra details hehe.
In today’s podcast we discuss:

Hello Mamas. In today’s episode I met with Brittany Sharpe Mccolomb from Blossoming Bellies based out of New Jersey in the United States. Brittany is a certified childbirth educator, a doula, lactation counsellor, and a pelvic biomechanics educator, and she is passionate about sharing evidence-based information with mothers and birth workers regarding her specialties. I myself have partaken in several of Britts’ courses and they have completely changed my view on how birth actually works, and in turn completely changed my whole business.
We discussed the importance of Womens Health Physios in this podcast! Natural Birth Co recommends an amazing one here. Caitlin does both in person appointments on the Sunshine Coast as well as Online appointments!
Brit and I talk a lot about Body Balance in this podcast- you can find our Online Body Balance Workshop here for only $99.
Today we take a look at some of the tough questions you’ve been asking, such as;

The intention of today's podcast is going to be to really help you figure out and identify in yourself what sort of birth you desire, and if Birth Circle is right for you. In this episode, I talk through the sorts of things that come up during birth, what medical interventions may be offered to you, the toll that can take on your experience, and considerations to make to ensure your birth aligns with your values, no matter what comes up.

Holy heck! Strap in for this one, mamas, because we’re about to blow your mind about the CTG cardiotech graph! Well, by we, I mean my guest, Kirsten Smalls… my role was more so just sitting there with my mouth gaped open because the evidence behind this thing is as shocking as it is fascinating!
This episode is going to be so helpful for your decision making process around what scenarios you would be happy with the CTG vs what scenarios you will not. By listening, you will be able to identify when the risk of having the CTG outweighs the alternative risk – be that, meconium in the waters, blood loss, having an oxytocin drip or another issue.

Warning: today’s podcast guest may have you fangirling…
In today’s episode I sat down with Rhea Dempsey, a childbirth doula and educator, counsellor and author to Birth With Confidence & Beyond The Birth Plan, (two of NBC’s mamas’ favourite reads)!
Rhea came into this space after experiencing an out-of-control birth experience with her first bub, which really opened her mind to the existing birth culture around physiological birth, and birthing in the hospital setting. This is what set her on this path to make so many waves in the physiological birthing space and empower mamas in understanding the power of birth preparation.
She's really amazing at communicating different points and concepts in an easy to understand way. In this podcast we discuss:

Hello, and welcome to the Natural Birth Co. podcast. I am so excited to bring you this amazing episode with the one and only Sheridan Joy Austin, who, after going through her own health stuff in her early twenties and teens, went on to become a nutritionist and then went on to become a Gut & Psychology Syndrome Practitioner.
After being in the health and nutrition space for nearly 10 years and working with clients with an array of gut health, immune, hormonal issues and more, in 2017 she became pregnant with her precious little boy Malakai. It was throughout that pregnancy that she became overwhelmingly passionate about how to nourish her growing baby and herself through such a physically demanding time.
As a nutritionist and GAPS practitioner - she couldn't find the quality we all deserve, free from synthetic nutrients, flavours, fillers and emulsifiers, 100% certified organic, and the most nutritious foods on the planet.
So, she went on to create her company foraged for you, which has the mother's blend which is absolutely amazing for mamas and humans in general. (I take the mother's blend, and all of our NBC mamas take it too).

Welcome to the latest episode of the NBC podcast! Today, I caught up with Nat Saunders, who you might remember from her first birth story (Ep 41). Back then, Nat shared her experience of a natural posterior birth, resonating deeply with countless mamas out there.
Now, nearly nine months later, Nat returns with her adorable nine-month-old, Winnie, in the background, ready to share the journey of her second pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. Expect the unexpected, as Nat's second experience proves to be remarkably different from her first – which is actually super common for second-time mamas!
In this episode, Nat delves into the three key changes she aimed for this time around: strengthening her pelvic floor, minimising pelvic girdle pain, and optimising her baby's position. Whether it was avoiding another posterior birth or ensuring a smoother labour process, Nat's insights and tips are invaluable for anyone embarking on their own pregnancy journey.
Now, I’m not about to spoil whether Nat achieved her ideal birth outcome or not - you'll have to tune in to find out! But trust me, Nat's wisdom, warmth, and wit make this episode an absolute must-listen.

Today, we're catching up with Gracie in our Journey of Pregnancy series (now at the 38-week mark), and we're diving deep into the physical changes that happen in the body before birth. From cervical developments to those magical baby movements, and that's not all…
Gracie opens up about something many expecting mothers might relate to: the sudden appearance of the "motherhood wound" as she gears up to transition into motherhood herself.
Plus, we'll take you along for the ride as we navigate:

Welcome to the Natural Birth Code Podcast! So excited to have you here, ready to dive into some real talk about birth experiences. Today, I am absolutely stoked to introduce you to Jacque. Trust me, you're gonna adore her. She's an NBC mama who's been through the whole shebang – yoga, birth workshops, you name it. And now, seven months post-birth, she's here to share her journey.
Get ready, because Jacque's story is a game-changer. We're talking about her experience with an epidural, and let me tell you, it's not your typical tale. See, we often have these preconceived notions about what's "good" or "bad" when it comes to birth preferences. But Jacque's here to flip that script. She embraced the unexpected, and her positive attitude toward her epidural is seriously inspiring.
You know, it's all about facing those fears head-on. We've all been there, sweating bullets over what might go wrong. But when you shine a light on those worries and give 'em a name, they lose their power. Jacque did just that, and her journey shows us that sometimes, the scariest thing on paper turns out to be a blessing in disguise.
So, get ready for some major inspiration – this is one podcast episode you won't wanna miss!
