We’re back with an eye-opening chat about manifesting. You've probably heard of 'The Secret' and the buzz around manifesting, but we're here to dig deeper and share our own experiences. Join us in this engaging discussion where personal experiences meet thoughtful insights. Whether you're a manifesting pro or just curious, there's something here for you. Remember, manifesting is more than just wishful thinking; it's about understanding ourselves and our actions in the pursuit of fulfillment.
Ever found yourself binge-watching 'Snapped' or geeking out at a 'My Favorite Murder' live show? Yup, us too. Let's chat about why these spine-chilling stories have us hooked! From the chill-inducing 'Making a Murderer' to those headline-grabbing cases like O.J. Simpson and Amanda Knox, we're talking about how true crime has sneaked into pretty much every corner of our media space. What's up with our fascination with what makes criminals tick? Is it curiosity? A need to understand the world? Is it okay to be entertained by real-life tragedies? We're weighing in on this tricky topic. Does it mess with our heads? Are we just feeding our morbid curiosity?
Today Courtney, Devin, and Kelly serve up some wisdom on our tumultuous love affair with money. Money and friendships - are we getting better at talking about cash or are we still awkwardly silent? Do you share your salary with friends? We call bullshit on the idea that talking about money is rude. In fact, part of what makes our friendship so great is that we can, do and CELEBRATE money with each other.
Money is like that rollercoaster you didn't ask to ride, and we're here to dissect your financial feels. On a scale of 1 to 10, how's your emotional bank account? Are you a money avoider, worshiper, vigilant saver, or a status chaser? We share where we fall on that scale and what type of money archetypes we identify with.
Speaking of earnings, did you know women are still earning 77 cents for every dollar those White men snatch up? Yeah, it's 2023, and we're still playing catch-up. How's that "don't discuss salary or money" rule working out for women and minorities? Spoiler alert: not great. Time to break some glass ceilings and make some noise.
And when it comes to relationships, it’s another level of cash management. Are you a saver? Is your partner a spender? We've all been there. We all value making our OWN money. Ever had to rely on your partner's income?
So, what makes your vagina hurt the most about women and money? Dive into this emotional rollercoaster, ladies. It's a wild ride, but together, we might just conquer it.

In this episode, we’re talking about the hard reality of American school schedules and why it sucks, especially for working parents. Imagine the sigh of relief from working parents if school and work schedules actually played nice together?
Let's start by taking a little trip down memory lane. Public schooling in the USA has been around for a hot minute, just over a century, to be precise. But when it comes to desegregation, well, that took its sweet time – a whole 60 years! Can you believe it? We're looking at you, 19th-century school reformers, for the birth of that '9 to 5' workday concept. Apparently, they thought parents had zero kids to look after during those hours. What were they smoking?
Fast forward to today, and American students are spending a solid six and a half hours in school, five days a week. But here's the kicker – two-thirds of moms are now juggling full-time jobs. And fewer than half of public schools offer any kind of after-school programs. Say what?
Now, let's jet-set internationally. In Finland, those lucky elementary students get a whopping 75 minutes of recess, while our American kiddos have to make do with a measly 27 minutes. The Finnish philosophy? Kids won't learn if they don't play, even if it's colder than a polar bear's toenails. Across the pond in the UK, high schools are kicking off later in the day. One London school even said, "Screw it," and started at 10 a.m. because research says students learn better when they're not sleepwalking.
But hold onto your hats – the sleep saga continues in the good ol' U.S. of A. with early school start times that are about as compatible with teenagers' biological clocks as a cat at a dog show. And let's not even talk about the colossal elephant in the room – childcare costs. They've become a financial heavyweight for American families, sometimes even outstripping the cost of college tuition. Yikes!
Now, what's the remedy, you ask? We've got some ideas. Picture schools getting cozy with the community, creating a school day that's longer and happier than a kid in a candy store. We're talking peer-to-peer learning, epic lunch breaks, field trips, and teachers clocking in at different times.
Listen as we discuss our personal situations with our kids and how we’re making it all work with the current state of affairs. But we also want to hear from you: How's your kid's school schedule looking nowadays? Can you picture a 5 p.m. school day? It's like finding a unicorn, right? And what if we flipped the script on the traditional workday?
Stay stressed and sexy, friends. 🎙️💃🔥

Mom guilt, you say? Join the club. Except our take on that is a bit different than you may think. The hit series on Netflix, “Workin’ Moms” presents all kinds of motherhood-related themes, and today we use the show as the backdrop for a discussion around working-mom struggles, mom guilt, rage and more.
We start by looking back at how TV moms have transformed from one-dimensional stereotypes into characters that truly resonate with us. This evolution sets the stage for "Workin Moms," a dark comedy that fearlessly lays bare the struggles women face while juggling careers and motherhood.
We focus mostly on the show's sixth season, bursting with relatable themes – think navigating stepchild dynamics, trusting our maternal instincts, handling workplace tensions, and even wrestling with anger management like Anne. And then there's Kate, caught in the internal tug-of-war between work, kids and self-fulfillment. It's a struggle we all know too well.
Catherine Reitman's quote, "I don't say I have to go to work, I say I get to go to work," struck a chord with us. It prompted introspection on how we handle those inevitable pangs of mom guilt.
If you're a "Workin’ Moms" fan or someone threading the delicate path between career and motherhood, this one’s for you.

Today we’re getting real about moms and drugs. Courtney, Devin, and Kelly take you from ancient Egypt's 'wandering womb' treatments to modern antidepressants. We touch on societal pressure, women's mental health stigma, and even pop culture's pill-popping portrayals. Sharing personal experiences with mood disorders, we explore how motherhood shifts drug dynamics. We also chat about recreational drug use, microdosing, and the trend of substituting drugs for alcohol. Wrapped up with wisdom, this episode is a hilarious history lesson on womanhood and substances.

Buckle up for a historical ride through the evolution of smut, from ancient Greece to modern times, all while exploring the fascinating landscape of sexy content in today's digital age. We share our own experiences with sexy materials (from Fifty Shades to audio porn) and dive into the reasons why this genre has captured the hearts, minds (and vaginas) of so many women. With discussions ranging from tantalizing novels to binge-worthy series, we're baring it all, analyzing the irresistible appeal of these narratives and their surprising positive impact on mental well-being and bedroom escapades. In this episode of "My Vagina Hurts," hosts Devin, Courtney, and Kelly dive headfirst into the world of Barbie, tracing its rebellious journey from a controversial doll to a cultural disruptor. We dish out the juicy details about Barbie's history, her recent cinematic triumph, and the audacious impact she's had on gender norms.
We kick off spilling the tea on how Barbie shook up the scene in 1959, despite early haters, and Barbie's origin story, including Mattel's gutsy move to team up with Mickey Mouse.
Then we get into why we’re really all here… the Barbie movie that smashed records and had everyone talking. We talk about how a film by women, for women, and starring women sent shockwaves through pop culture. We hold nothing back when delving into the uproar Barbie caused, from the big bucks to the even bigger debates.
We share our take on the movie's fierce moments, like boss ladies ruling Barbieland and America Ferrera's mic-drop speech on impossible standards of womanhood. Ken gets his moment in the spotlight too. His role in the movie and the uproarious humor behind it reveals further gender dynamics and the good ol' patriarchy.
Prepare for personal revelations as we spill on their own Barbie experiences, from childhood playtime antics to relationship revelations. It's a sassy spin on growing up, claiming power, and flipping the script. Join us for a fierce reflection on Barbie's lasting influence, her battle scars with controversies, and the evolution of this unapologetic icon.

It's time to bid adieu to Season 1 of My Vagina Hurts. We've laughed, cried, and spilled all the tea, but fear not, we'll be back for an epic Season 2 in August.
This season has been a wild ride. Every episode brought something new — funny, relatable, and a reminder that we're not alone in this crazy journey called womanhood.
Being working moms and partners made this podcast a juggling act, but it forced us to spend quality time together. Producing this podcast taught us a lot. It's not every day you get to listen back to your friends' unfiltered conversations. And boy, did we learn the power of being present and truly listening.
Sure, we didn't make bank this season, but that didn't stop us. We're proud of what we've accomplished with zero experience and no budget. Season 2 will be even bigger, bolder, and sexier. We're investing in better audio, bringing in guests, and tackling juicy topics like modern dating, porn's role in our lives, toxic female leaders, and much more.
So, dear listeners, mark your calendars for the return of My Vagina Hurts on August 2, 2023. Expect sassier discussions, more laughs, and a damn good time. And don't forget to follow us on Instagram for updates. Season 1 may be over, but our vaginas are ready to conquer Season 2 like the bosses we are.

“Do you find yourself saying “I’m sorry” all the time? You forget to text your friend back. I’m sorry. You accidentally bump into someone at the grocery store. I’m sorry. You sneeze in the middle of a meeting. That’s right—I’m sorry. It’s a seemingly endless cycle. Over-apologizing can undermine your authority and negatively impact your career. It’s not just a hypothesis—studies show that women do apologize more than men.”
This excerpt from a Forbes article laid it out perfectly.
Today we’re discussing internal and external causes of decreased confidence in women and what to do about it. The three cases we are covering today are the following: Over-apologizing, Motherhood, and Interruption.

This week Kelly, Devin and Courtney get into “the sex talk” - body parts, periods, where babies come from, sexuality and more. They share how they were given the birds and bees talk when they were kids, what their sex ed classes were like in grade school, and the role sex had in their teen relationships. Now that they are moms, how did their experiences in childhood and teenage years influence how they are raising their children today? Listen (and laugh along) to personal stories and how they are consciously changing “the sex talk” for their kids.
Note to listeners: Kelly’s puppy was being annoying AF during the recording of this episode, so please forgive background noises. We are still amateurs at this podcasting thing after all.

This week we talk all about big feelings… a man’s big feelings to be more exact. This came up because of a TikTok Devin came across by @ThatDarnChat, where she talks about how as young girls, we are taught that in order to be safe in the world, we must always prioritize the feelings and emotions of the men around us. A simple Google search on this topic reveals countless articles designed to help women find and maintain relationships if they are what is described as strong, wealthy, or breadwinning women. And conversely, stories about how a “woman led a man” on or “can’t take a joke” after getting cat-called on the street.
How responsible are women supposed to be for navigating the world through a man’s lack of emotional maturity? Not surprisingly, Courtney, Devin and Kelly have a few things to say about this.
