The Father’s Day Episode
Today is dedicated to the father’s who take it upon themselves to put a smile on the face of their families no matter how hard it is. To the fathers who take charge and serve as the umbrellas shielding the family from external harm. You are loved, appreciated and in the cases of they who have become sky daddies, missed. Send out a lovely message, gift or note to a dad and show him what he means to you. Men are very much under appreciated which is honestly not fair therefore do that today. For as many as there are whom have lost their fathers, I totally understand how hard it can be on a day like this not having your daddy by you. My advise to you is own your emotions and as much as possible, avoid your triggers. Protect your mental health as you have to be strong for yourself before anyone else. Find an interesting activity you love and engage in it. Don’t forget to say a prayer for your daddy. I’m sending you love, warm hugs and kisses to make you feel at ease. Happy Father’s Day!

Grief story by Deraaa
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die” There comes a point in one’s life where we have to say goodbye to the people who mean the most to us. While it may never make any sense why this phenomenon has to take place, it is a course of life that everyone will encounter at the end of one’s life journey and no matter how prepared you think you are, nothing actually prepares you for the death of a loved one 💐. Grief is an emotion that engulfs one when the loss of a dear one happens and it is a known fact that people react differently to this emotion but societal constructs a good number of times create a non realistic picture of what it should look like. In honor of my late Patriarch and father, I will dedicate this month to speaking on grief and what it means to different people who will share their stories on how the death of a loved one has affected them over the period and how they navigated this feeling. The big questions remain; How long should one grieve a loved one? Is there a right way to grieve? What is the best way to support people during this heart wrenching phase? Find out these and more on our series; The grief series. Feel free to reach out to us in our Instagram DM’s and comment section @mwdpodcast_ if you would want to share your story. We are willing to listen as we are all on a journey to healing ❤️‍🩹.

Is Love Really Enough?
Love is a beautiful feeling that most people on earth are eager to experience at a point in their lifetime and though this feeling is valid, the sad reality is that some will never have an opportunity to experience it and some will, some did & lost it along the way because of certain influencing factors which brings us to the topic; Is Love Really Enough? Dr Nnaemeka & Mrs Chinenye Omire-Oluedo came on to tell us how they have been able to navigate their 5 years old marriage, transitioned into being parents and aired their views on the above topic. This promises to be mind engaging and educative.

Gratitude, procrastination and mental health.
The year has been a big blow to everyone. In the beginning of the year, we were all so excited and positive that this was the year for us all but somehow, we weren't prepared for what hit us but for the fact that you are here reading this, you ought to be grateful. Procrastination they say is a lazy man's apology. Do that thing you want to do. Start now! 2020 is an evidence that tomorrow is not promised. September is suicide awareness month and this is a good time to have this discussion with you. Mental health is so underrated in this part of the world. Please, never fail to speak up if you need help. Seek help! Depression is real! Don't resort to suicide. You will only hurt those who love you and in the end, it wouldn't be worth the stress.
