Did you know that the Gurkhas have been part of the British Army for almost 200 years? - But here we are, 2021 and STILL fighting for equality.
On this episode, we discuss about the latest hunger strike rally in London as part of a campaign for equal pension rights.
Many thanks to @gurkhaequalrights for the continuous efforts to raise awareness and educate us all (seriously, thank you!)

On this chapter, we talk about the bizarre life Britney Spears has been living for the past 13 years. As mentioned above, you don’t have to be a fan but you SHOULD really know what’s been going on.

ASIAN HATE CRIME! From @nextshark to @jackfrootx, we have seen countless number of Asian hate crime cases being reported in the US (particularly NYC and LA) every time we open our Instagram and the number only seems to be increasing on a daily. Majority of the cases that we have seen and heard so far have been emerging from the US, but what about the UK?
On this episode, we discussed everything from UK’s anti-Asian racism, the recent cases to discussing our own experiences with micro-aggressions, casual racism and more severe hate crime - because as we all know, the UK is definitely not innocent and it’s time we stopped downplaying it.

“Text me when you get home” - is a common phrase used amongst women to ensure that their loved ones have reached home safely. It’s also now become a replacement for ‘bye’ or ‘goodbye’, due to the frequent use at the end of the get-together or gatherings. In the wake of a tragic murder of Sarah Everard, women have now been sharing their own personal stories and the measures they have had to take in order to reach home safely.
We also decided to touch up on this conversation and express our personal views and experiences. As mentioned in the beginning of this episode, we felt that this was an important and necessary topic, something us all girls can relate to but also hopefully an eye opener for our male listeners; to explain and share the struggles women have to endure in this modern day and age.
This episode contains sensitive topic that some listeners may find disturbing. Therefore, listeners discretion is advised!
** ALSO, apologise in advanced for Arati's mic. We are working to fix this issue ASAP, as we want you guys to have a pleasant time hearing our wonderful voices heehee **

For chapter five, we decided to stick to the theme of ‘love’ for valentines but focusing more on ‘is love a sin?’ & less on your usual ‘lovey-dovey’ chats. This week conversation stems from a question which was proposed by a fellow friend @watercloudss:
“Is it a sin to show affection and kindness to someone to a point that there’s a small possibility they might start to have feelings for you, when you never had such intentions to begin with?”
AKA, can a man and a woman simply ‘just be friends’ in this day and age without any feelings or judgements (especially within our Nepali society?)
P.S - This questions is not limited to just heterosexual relationships, this question also goes to LGBTQ+ relationships.
What do you think? What are your thoughts on this question? Do you have the same views as we did, or does it differ - let us know what you think over on our → Instagram (valentine's post): https://www.instagram.com/lostyouths_/

On this chapter, we sat down with Aliza (whom we've had before on our podcast) and two of her clients. This is a story of a brave survivor who has fought her 7 year long battle from a domestic abuse relationship and a heroic friend who helped with her escape - In order to protect their identity, we have avoided addressing them by their real names and their voices have also been altered.
