Sermon Title: FOLLOWING WITH OPEN EYESSermon Text: MARK 10:46-52Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KINGBy: PTR NIC SY SERMON NOTES Faith cries out, comes close, and follows on. I. FAITH CRIES OUT PERSISTENTLY Faith doesn’t wait for perfect timing; it calls out even in imperfect places. Reflect: When was the last time you cried out to Jesus in desperation? When we lose sight of our desperation, we start treating Jesus like a helpful resource instead of our only hope. II. FAITH RESPONDS TO JESUS’ CALL. The God of the universe pauses for a single voice in the dark. Reflect: What do you want him to do for you? You never regret what you leave behind for Christ; you only regret what you hold on to that kept you from him. III. FAITH FOLLOWS JESUS ON THE WAY Reflect: Are you following? Opened eyes lead to obedient feet. Jesus isn’t just the destination, he is the way. Following isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a daily choice. The greatest gift isn’t sight. The greatest gift is being with Jesus.

THE UPSIDE-DOWN LEADER
Sermon Title: THE UPSIDE-DOWN LEADERSermon Text: MARK 10:32-45Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KINGBy: PTR NIC SY SERMON NOTES We don’t truly understand life until we’ve stooped low enough to see it from below. In God’s Kingdom, the way up is down. I. THE LEADER WHO GOES FIRST. Leadership in the Kingdom is knowing the cost and walking forward anyway. Reflect: Where might God be calling you to go first? Leaders in the Kingdom don’t wait for perfect conditions; they move in obedience. II. THE AMBITION THAT MISSES THE POINT. It’s possible to follow Jesus and still be secretly running a personal campaign. The road to resurrection always passes through Gethsemane. Reflect: What is your “cup”? Jesus would drink the cup of the Father’s wrath so that you and I would never drink ours alone. III. THE REDEFINITION OF GREATNESS. On the cross, Jesus became both the price and the purchaser: he bought our freedom with his own life. When you serve, you reflect the very heart of the Savior. Reflect: So where can we serve today? The greatest person in any room is not the one everyone notices; it’s the one quietly serving when no one’s looking. ENDING THOUGHTThe most powerful leaders in God’s Kingdom aren’t the loudest or the most impressive; they’re the ones who’ve stopped needing to be anything at all… because they’ve found everything in Christ.

THE TOWEL OF GREATNESS
Volunteers’ Appreciation Night JOHN 13:1-5 ESV1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, 4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. JOHN 13:1-5,12-17 ESV12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. Every time you served, you picked up a towel, too. 1. SERVICE IS OUR IDENTITY, NOT JUST OUR DUTY JOHN 13:14 ESV14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. Serving others wasn’t meant to be a task list for his disciples; it was meant to be the trademark of their lives. There’s a big difference between doing something because you have to and doing something because it’s who you are. Serving isn’t just what we do; it’s who we are. 2. SERVICE FLOWS FROM LOVE, NOT FROM RECOGNITION JOHN 13:1 ESV1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. We don’t serve because people deserve it; we serve because Jesus displayed it. When you love Jesus, serving others stops feeling like sacrifice and starts feeling like worship. Love that doesn’t get dirty probably never touched anyone. Love is the only fuel that never runs dry. 3. SERVICE LEADS TO JOY, NOT TO BURNOUT JOHN 13:17 ESV17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. The joy isn’t just in knowing what Jesus did. The joy is in doing it. The towel that serves others wipes joy onto your own heart. PSALMS 100:2 ESV2 Serve the LORD with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

THE GOD WHO IS OUR PRESENT HELP
Psalm 46 ESV1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has brought desolations on the earth.9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire.10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah INTRODUCTION God was PRESENT yesterday and He will be PRESENT tomorrow, but more importantly He is PRESENT TODAY in whatever circumstance we might be. I. THE EVER PRESENT GOD IN COSMIC TROUBLES (vv.1-3) “Strength” meaning our source of power for living. “Refuge” where one finds rest and asylum. “Fortress” signifies protection in Him. Israel’s confession of the ever-present God is a comforting doctrine. It means that He will also be there for us tomorrow in a MIGHTY WAY no matter what happens. II. THE EVER PRESENT GOD IN JUDGMENT (vv.4-7) Nations and kingdoms may cause great alarm and create havoc on earth (v. 6), but they will fall quickly when God speaks His word of judgment. III. THE EVER PRESENT GOD IN ALL NATIONS ON EARTH (vv.8-11) The psalmist exhorts the godly to consider the works of God. The recitation of the mighty acts of God plants reminds us of His care, protection and faithfulness toward His people. The message is clear: BE STILL and KNOW that He is God: our ever-present HELP.

LET GO OF THE ANCHOR
Sermon Title: LET GO OF THE ANCHORSermon Text: MARK 10:13-31Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KINGBy: PTR NIC SY SERMON NOTES You can’t sail if you won’t lift (let go of) the anchor. I. THE ANCHOR OF PRIDE The Kingdom is not achieved; it’s received. Religion counts achievements; relationship celebrates affection. Only empty hands can be filled. Where has pride or superiority anchored you? II. THE ANCHOR OF SECURITY The more you clutch your security, the less secure you actually are. Because the moment your security depends on something that can be lost, you’re already living in fear. We can’t hold on to our anchors and follow Christ’s calling at the same time. Security is not the absence of risk; it’s the presence of Christ. God doesn’t promise calmer seas but he promises a faithful Captain. What is your anchor of security? III. THE ANCHOR OR CALCULATION Salvation isn’t about what you can accomplish. It’s about what God can do. God is the one who makes the impossible, possible. When you follow Jesus, you’re not purchasing blessings; you’re stepping into a new family, a new reality. The trade is not things for more things. The trade is everything for Jesus. God’s grace is not a paycheck; it’s a gift. And the moment we start keeping score and calculating, we stop seeing it as grace. Four applications:1. Stop keeping score.2. Surrender the outcomes.3. Celebrate others’ blessings.4. Remember your “why.” Jesus didn’t call us to stay safe at the dock. He called us to catch the wind of his Spirit and follow wherever he leads.

The Heart Of The Matter
Sermon Title: THE HEART OF THE MATTER Sermon Text: MARK 10:1-12 (ESV) Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KING By: PTR NESTOR SY Sermon Notes: The heart of the matter is always the matter of the heart. I. A HARD HEART DISREGARDS WHAT GOD DESIGNED When a heart is hard, it will filter out parts of the Scripture that convict and highlight only the parts that justifies. God didn’t make two halves to compete, he made two reflections to complete his image. Distinction: “Male and female he created them.” God made us different.Dignity: “In the image of God he created them.” Both stand equal in worth and value before God. Sin divides what God designed to complement. Jesus isn’t raising the standard to crush us, he raises it to call us back. II. A HARD HEART DEFENDS ITS OWN WAY A hard heart doesn’t ask, “How can I love?” It asks, “How can I win?” A hard heart keeps a record of rights. A soft heart keeps a record of wrongs… and then wipes it clean with grace. Where is the inner attorney showing up in your life this week? “What does love require of me?” III. A HARD HEART DISPOSES WHAT GOD DECLARES SACRED When we see people as projects or problems, we dispose of them. When we see them as persons, we develop them. The world operates on a disposable economy. But the Kingdom of God operates on a resurrection economy. We all have a heart condition.

Warning Labels For Disciples
Sermon Title: WARNING LABELS FOR DISCIPLES Sermon Text: MARK 9:2-14 (ESV) Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KING By: PTR NIC SY Sermon Notes: The greatest threat to following Jesus doesn’t always come from outside the church; it often comes from inside our own hearts. I. DON’T SHUT OTHERS OUT (vv 38-41) The moment loyalty to our group replaces loyalty to Jesus, we’ve missed the kingdom. What matters isn’t how big the act is, but who you’re doing it for. Exclusion may feel like protecting our turf, but in reality it weakens our testimony. In God’s kingdom, even the smallest act counts. So start small, but start somewhere. II. DON’T LEAD OTHERS ASTRAY (vv 42-48) It’s deadly serious to damage the faith of the vulnerable. You can harm others by your sin, but you can also destroy yourself by tolerating it. If anything in your life drags you into sin, deal with it decisively. Hell is real, sin is lethal, and discipleship is serious. These warnings are meant to drive us to the grace of Jesus. III. LIVE DISTINCTLY (vv 49-50) Discipleship involves both preservation and purification. A disciple without distinction is like salt without flavor; it is useless. Disciples aren’t called to be impressive. They’re called to be salty. ENDING The warnings of Jesus only make sense when we remember the grace of Jesus.

Not From Here
Our true home is heaven Sermon Title:  NOT FROM HERE Sermon Text: 1 PETER 1:13-19 (NIV) Guest Speaker: PTR TOM TRONO Sermon Notes: 1 Peter 1:13-19 (NIV) 13Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 17Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.  1. Stay mentally and spiritually strong in a foreign land (v. 13) 2. Do not conform to the culture of this world (v. 14) 3. Live as holy citizens of heaven (vv. 15-16) 4. Follow the higher law of God’s kingdom (v. 17) 5. Remember the cost of your heavenly citizenship (vv. 18-19) Our true home is heaven

True Greatness
Only through humility can we come to the cross of Jesus and be rooted in a life of serving others. Sermon Title: TRUE GREATNESS Sermon Text: MARK 9:30-37 (ESV) Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KING By: BRO JEREMY LEONES Sermon Notes: Mark 9:30-37 (ESV) 30 They went on from there and passed through Galilee. And he did not want anyone to know, 31for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” 32But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him. 33And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?” 34But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. 35And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” 36And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, 37“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” Three Truths About Greatness: 1. True Greatness Begins At The Cross (vv30-31) Jesus anchors greatness not in status, but in sacrifice. To follow Jesus’ way of greatness, we begin by surrendering our lives fully at the cross not just in words but in daily discipleship. 2. True Greatness Is Found In Serving Others (vv32-35) Jesus exemplifies that true greatness is through service in humble obedience to His Father’s will. Jesus is calling us to a life of obedience to God and service to others in love. In the kingdom of God, the way up is down, and the greatest is the one who serves. 3. True Greatness Requires Humility (vv36-37) Humility is not thinking less of ourselves; it’s thinking of ourselves less. The greatest in the kingdom is the one who humbles himself like a child. There is:– Openness to learning– Lack of pride or arrogance– Trust and dependence– Sincerity and authenticity Only through humility can we come to the cross of Jesus and be rooted in a life of serving others.

I. When Faith Meets Desperation
When your faith meets desperation, pray earnestly and honestly. Cast your cares on Him. He cares for you.  Sermon Title: WHEN FAITH MEETS DESPERATION Sermon Text: MARK 9:2-14 (ESV) Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KING By: BRO ARNOLD ALO Sermon Notes: Mark 9:2-14 (ESV) 14 And when they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them, and scribes arguing with them. 15And immediately all the crowd, when they saw him, were greatly amazed and ran up to him and greeted him. 16And he asked them, “What are you arguing about with them?” 17And someone from the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you, for he has a spirit that makes him mute. 18And whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they were not able.” 19And he answered them, “O faithless generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him to me.” 20And they brought the boy to him. And when the spirit saw him, immediately it convulsed the boy, and he fell on the ground and rolled about, foaming at the mouth. 21And Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22And it has often cast him into fire and into water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” 24Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” 25And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” 26And after crying out and convulsing him terribly, it came out, and the boy was like a corpse, so that most of them said, “He is dead.” 27But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. 28And when he had entered the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.” When someone’s true identity is revealed, it changes the way you see everything else about them. Ang Gahom Diha Sa Pag-ampo
Sermon Title: ANG GAHOM DIHA SA PAG-AMPO Sermon Text:  MARCOS 9:14-29 (ANG BIBLIA) Sermon Series: ANG DALAN PAINGON SA KRUS: PAGSUNOD SA HARI NGA NAG-ANTOS By: PTR MATIAS MAHUSAY SR. I. Kapakyasan ug Desperasyon (vv. 14-18) II. Pagtoo ug ang Pagkawalay Pagtoo (vv. 19-24) III. Gahum ug Awtoridad ni Hesus. (vv. 25-29)

A Glimpse of Glory
When someone’s true identity is revealed, it changes the way you see everything else about them. Sermon Title: A GLIMPSE OF GLORY Sermon Text: MARK 9:2-13 (ESV) Sermon Series: THE ROAD TO THE CROSS: FOLLOWING THE SUFFERING KING By: PTR NESTOR SY Sermon Notes: MARK 9:2-13 ESV 2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them,3 and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them.4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.5 And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”6 For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.7 And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.”8 And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only.9 And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.10 So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean.11 And they asked him, “Why do the scribes say that first Elijah must come?”12 And he said to them, “Elijah does come first to restore all things. And how is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt?13 But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they did to him whatever they pleased, as it is written of him.” When someone’s true identity is revealed, it changes the way you see everything else about them. When God pulls back the curtain, he doesn’t just reveal glory, he calls for a response. The Transfiguration shows us who Jesus is, what he came to do, and why we must listen to him. I. WHO JESUS IS: THE GLORY OF THE SON (vv. 2-4) “transfigure”Greek: metamorphoó Jesus is not just another prophet; he is the fulfillment of God’s plan. When life feels uncertain, remember: our faith rests not on our strength, but on the glorious Son of God. When you feel small, lift your eyes to the One who shines brighter than the sun. Do we see Jesus only as a helper in your problems, or as the glorious Lord of heaven and earth? II. WHAT WE MUST DO: LISTEN TO THE SON (vv. 5-8) When was the last time you were so overwhelmed by who Jesus is that you stopped asking him for things and just adored him? “tent”Greek: skéné “tabernacles, dwellings” Jesus is supreme. Not Moses. Not Elijah. Not even our own best religious instincts. Only Jesus. True discipleship means tuning out the static so we can tune in to Jesus. III. WHERE JESUS LEADS: THE MISSION OF THE SON (vv. 9-13) Glory without the cross would be a distorted gospel. MATTHEW 17:11-13 ESV 11 He answered, “Elijah does come, and he will restore all things. 12 But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they pleased. So also the Son of Man will certainly suffer at their hands.” 13 Then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of John the Baptist. You cannot have the crown without the cross. JOHN 12:24 ESV 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. 2 PETER 1:16-18 ESV 16 For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” 18 we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.

Diha Sa Pag-antos, Mapadayag ang Himaya Sa Dios
Sermon Title: DIHA SA PAG-ANTOS, MAPADAYAG ANG HIMAYA SA DIOS Sermon Text:  MARCOS 9:2-13 (ANG BIBLIA) Sermon Series: ANG DALAN PAINGON SA KRUS: PAGSUNOD SA HARI NGA NAG-ANTOS By: PTR MATIAS MAHUSAY SR. (vv. 2-4) II.
