It's not often you hear a conversation about deliverance, more classically known as exorcism, and building a secret place of prayer at the same time. Jake Kail is an apostolic leader at Threshold Church and often preaches and ministers deliverance at Gateway. He has deep heart for the church to step into the ministry of Jesus and also live a life of radical holiness and intimacy with God.
Jon and Tim asked him about his journey with Jesus, stepping into his calling, and how deliverance can be practiced in a healthy way. For anyone interested in this, we think you'll really be strengthened.

Last episode we covered some of the foundations of how we approach worship. We continued our conversation with Jamie and honed in on a more niche type of worship. If you've paid attention to the Christian musical worship movement over the last few years, you've probably noticed the emphasis on spontaneous moments. Often worship leaders will encourage congregations to "sing your own song to the Lord!"

Cody was teaching at a local public school and God gave him a vision to see worship nights take place that would empower students to reach their classmates. Not long after, Unrestricted was launched and he saw a direct fulfillment of the vision. Salvations and baptisms have taken place in school auditoriums and we believe this is just the beginning!
How did Cody get to this place of radically pursuing the Kingdom of God and engaging redemptively in a challenging area of society? In episode 5, he shares his story of encountering Jesus and being set free to live that way God destined him to!
We believe real, tangible communion with God is possible for anyone who is seeking it. Learning to pray-- to be vulnerable and honest before God and to recognize His voice and presence in response-- is life changing. But it never stops with just us.

Our very own director, Bonita Keener, sat down with us to talk about her journey with prayer. We heard some amazing stories of simple obedience and our conversation started to focus more and more around one theme: recognizing and obeying God's voice.
Learning to hear what the Spirit is saying is a massive part in growing a vibrant prayer life. No genuine relationship can be built on one sided communication.
But, since God is spirit and He rarely speaks audibly, how do we go about discerning His voice in our life? And to take it a step further, how do we share His words with others, i.e., prophesy?
