Age is Just a Number! | Brian Richardson and Kevin Longfield

Brian Richardson was born and raised in Ireland before coming to North America to pursue his education and career in America. An award-winning actor, artist and playwright, Brian moved to Winnipeg when his car broke down on his way to Vancouver from Halifax.

Kevin Longfield is a Winnipeg-born playwright and actor who earned a degree in mechanical engineering before receiving a second degree in theatre from the University of Winnipeg. Author of 'From Fire to Flood', Kevin has also written several plays and produced multiple productions with Theatre Anywhere.

Celebrating a decade as a playwriting group, Dramatists in Dotage present “Age is Just a Number!” A reading of six short plays by Bruce Sarbit, Jenny Gates, Sue Proctor, Brian Richardson, Armin Wiebe, and Kevin Longfield.

For our last episode, Andrew steps away from the mic to allow Ellen Peterson to interview our very own Rebecca Driedger, who has written and directed a brand new play titled Parasocial for this year's festival. Ellen and Rebecca have been involved with Creative Manitoba's mentorship program.


Parasocial explores online privacy, vulnerability and the dark side of being an internet personality, highlighting how the blurred lines between public persona and personal life can have devastating consequences.

Chicago | Tyler Leighton

Tyler Leighton is a singer, dancer, and choreographer who has worked in musical theatre for almost two decades. He's a world class tap dancer who teaches musical theatre at Marquis Dance Academy. Tyler is currently the choreographer for Winnipeg's All-Dentist Musical's 2025 production of Chicago. This summer, you can catch him at Rainbow Stage performing in Frozen, from August 7-24.

He is also the Coordinator of International Programs for the charity organization LiveDifferent.

Zahra Larche is a stage manager who graduated from the National Theatre School's Production program in 2017. She's worked for all the major theatre centres here in Winnipeg and with companies across the country. She will soon be stage managing Dry Cold's 2025 production of Dogfight.

Eve Ross Moore is a writer, singer and actor living in Winnipeg, MB. Eve is a part of the Village Conservatory's class of 2024/25, and performed her piece "Countdown" at this year's Inhibition/Exhibition, which took place at The Gargoyle Theatre. Eve has also performed with groups like Looking Glass Theatre and Indifferently Reformed, and will be producing her own show at this year's Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
