    1. Answer: Thank you for the question, especially an easy one when someone isn’t emotionally attached to the topic. First, because all predators have some degree of mental illness or they wouldn’t prey on people. Second, People with BPD tend to use the diagnosis as an excuse for their behavior. It is an explanation NOT an excuse.

Human Furniture What, Why, and How-S05E18

  • - Rules to Love By: (https://inclusionwoodworks.com)

  3. “Submission is not about authority and it’s not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.” -Wm. Paul Young
  1. - “Human Furniture: What, Why, and How?-S05E18”
    1. Human furniture refers to a practice within the BDSM community where a person acts as an object or piece of furniture for another individual's use or pleasure. This practice involves a consensual and negotiated power exchange dynamic where one person willingly takes on the role of being used as an object or piece of furniture by another person or group. The person might be positioned or manipulated to resemble furniture, such as becoming a footstool, table, chair, or any other household item. The submissive might be required to hold a specific pose or position for a certain period, providing physical support or serving as a surface for the dominant person's comfort or convenience.
    1. Participation in human furniture kink, like many other activities within BDSM or fetish communities, can be motivated by a variety of psychological factors and individual desires. Here are a few potential reasons:
      1. Power Dynamics: For some, assuming the role of human furniture can be a way to explore power dynamics. Both the person taking on the role of furniture and the person using them may find pleasure in the exchange of power and control.
      2. Sensory Stimulation: Engaging in this kink might provide intense sensory experiences. For some individuals, being in a static position or role could create physical sensations or mental states that are stimulating or arousing.
      3. Role-Playing and Fantasy: Like many BDSM activities, human furniture play can involve role-playing and fulfilling specific fantasies. It could be a form of escapism or a way to explore desires that are not easily expressed in everyday life.
      4. Exploration and Experimentation: Engaging in unconventional or taboo activities like this can be a way for some to explore their own boundaries, desires, and limits within a safe and consensual context.
      5. Connection and Intimacy: It might also serve as a means of connection and intimacy between partners. Trust and communication are crucial in these scenarios, and the level of intimacy can deepen as participants engage in a vulnerable yet controlled environment.
    2. Crafting a human furniture scene: Like all scenes, there are eight basic steps to follow to help mitigate risks and increase rewards. A few of the most important things to remember are to communicate thoroughly, go slow, and don’t expect yourself or someone else to be a table for hours on end at the start. Like kneeling, impact play, bondage, and most other types of play, a person needs to build stamina through practice.
      1. Communication and Consent: Start by discussing interests, desires, and limits with your partner(s). Clearly express what you're comfortable with and what you're interested in exploring. This includes the roles, positions, intensity of the play, medical conditions, medications, and psychological issues and needs.
      2. Establish Safe Words and Signals: Agree upon a safe word or signal that anyone involved can use to pause or stop the role play if they feel uncomfortable or need a break. Safety and consent are paramount.
      3. Define Roles and Scenarios: Decide who will take on the role of...

    • A new piece of research has revealed that a staggeringly high number of women have had a non-consensual sexual experience while experimenting with a partner.
The research, carried out by KinkD – a dating app for BDSM and kink enthusiasts, showed that 68% of female respondents claimed to have had a non-consensual kinky experience with people they’d met online who claimed to be into BDSM.

Of more than 3,000 women who use online dating apps, more than half said they had experienced a violent or degrading act that hadn’t been agreed upon with prior consent.

As BDSM grows in popularity thanks to kinky dating apps, sex clubs and movies like Fifty Shades hitting the mainstream, knowing how to practice kink safely is more important than ever. According to Bedbible, ownership of BDSM equipment, such as ropes and whips, has increased, with 23% having used some form in 2023 compared to only 14% in 2017. So, if you’re planning to allow someone to tie you up because it turns you on, it’s vital that you feel safe.
Kink, arguably, is not something that should be practiced with a stranger as it requires a level of trust and a clear understanding of your partner’s interests, intentions and boundaries. However, the internet is a great place to connect with like-minded people who might be into the same stuff as you or have the same sexual fantasies, and that’s why kinky dating apps work so well.
"In the diverse landscape of alternative relationship dating, these statistics underscore the importance of constant evolution and vigilant safety measures,” says John Martinuk, the founder of KinkD. “Our commitment isn't just to connect individuals with shared interests but to ensure that their interactions remain consensual and secure.
"The kink community is serious about safety, but if you’re new to it, how are you supposed to know who is a safe person to hook up with and who isn’t, and whether someone is being honest about their level of experience?
If you’re looking to broaden your horizons and you’re curious about BDSM or trying new kinks or rough sex, there are several things you need to bear in mind before you dive in. This checklist isn’t just...

    • When it comes to sex, I am always interested in exploring new experiences and pushing the boundaries of what is considered normal. But as someone who has dedicated a majority of my adult life to researching and writing about and sex and relationships, I’m surprisingly not kinky.
I’ve had hundreds of sex partners, yet I’ve always been a bit hesitant about venturing into the world of fetishes. A lot of my sexually liberated friends think you’re not really good at sex until you’ve tried everything in the book: sex parties, swinging, furries, pony play, wax play… the list goes on and on.But sometimes I get overwhelmed just visiting a sex shop. Will a latex bodysuit chafe my nipples? How many calories are in edible panties? Does a leather whip really need a bluetooth speaker? And then there’s the question of why even bother with all this off-the-wall stuff when the simple act itself is pretty damn good. My therapist once told me kink is always rooted in something much deeper than the act of sex itself.“It’s why all these CEOs are into dominatrixes and humiliation,” she explained. “They spend their days screaming at lower level employees and manipulating people into doing what they need to build their business. They want to be dommed because they want someone else to make the decisions for once.”I certainly am not looking to sex to alleviate work-related imbalances. But I did wonder, am I really not sexually adventurous if I’m kink-averse? Am I missing out? I decided to explore it more, and this is what I learned.
Apparently, butt stuff isn’t kinky
BDSM is such a head trip
Costumes are expensive
.And then there are some things I just flat out won’t doI
Stop telling me I’ll “find my kink” eventually

    • Talk about Stephen Ing’s “Your magic sex number” and personal experiences to intro the topic.
    • “I am kinky but my partner is not. Should I end our secure, loving relationship?” by Eleanor Gordon-Smith Thu 22 Jun 2023
I have been in a loving relationship for three years. When I first met him, I told a close friend that I thought I’d met the love of my life. That initial infatuation gave way to a more realistic affection, but he’s smart, handsome and caring. I enjoy our time together and feel secure and trusting.
Sexually, things were enjoyable at the beginning. That calmed down into a less frantic dynamic but we still have sex once per week.I am kinky and he is not. We have discussed this and he doesn’t feel comfortable doing the things that I enjoy.
Initially, I thought this would be OK – relationships always have compromise – but as time has gone on I am not sure it is something I can forgo. He has made clear that an open relationship would not be acceptable to him.I have an anonymous online profile on a kink dating site. I started talking with someone who shared my interests. We met, and the sexual encounter was satisfying to a level I have never experienced before. We have continued to meet on a weekly basis for six months. Neither party knows about the other.I do not want to end my relationship, but I cannot live without this aspect of my sexuality. I feel guilt about being unfaithful but exploring in this way has enabled me to stay in the relationship.
Should I leave my partner because of the gap between our sexual tastes? Should I give up my kink desires for what is otherwise a relationship I would have no reason to leave?
My boyfriend’s aggressive dog has stalled our plans to move in together. How can we move forward?
Eleanor says: Listen, it’s fine to feel that this part of your sexuality is something you can’t live without. It’s also fine to decide that a relationship isn’t going to work because of that. We get to leave relationships when staying would mean being bereft over missing out on something. That doesn’t get less true just because the thing in question is sexual. You could leave if you wanted kids and your partner didn’t; if you wanted to live in a particular country and your partner didn’t. Continuing a relationship isn’t just a question of whether you like this person, it’s a question of whether your lives can really dovetail.
But what’s never going to be fine is continually deceiving your partner into staying in a relationship that isn’t the way they think it is or the way they want it to be. You say your partner has been clear that he wouldn’t be alright with an open relationship. Unbeknown to him, though, he’s already been in one, and...

  • 3: “Submission is not about authority and it’s not about obedience; it is all about relationships of love and respect.” -Wm. Paul Young
  1. - “A Guide to Edging-S05E08”
    • Delayed gratification: Building up to orgasm and repeatedly backing off builds up the physical, mental, and emotional anticipation typically resulting in harder, longer, and more fulfilling orgasms.
    • Control: It is very common in BDSM play for the Dom(me) to deny or edge a submissive. Denial of a basic animalistic urge can be an extremely intoxicating type of control
    • Awareness: Edging tends to make people more self-aware of their bodies and minds involving their orgasmic state and how things like breathing and internal thoughts add to or take away from their orgasms. They can then apply that knowledge to other sexual experiences when not edging to provide similar results.
    • According to Anne Russo, LCSW, “edging involves building up to orgasm and then slowing down or taking breaks before you or your partner reach climax. The process, sometimes called “surfing” or “peaking,” can increase blood flow to the genitals to enhance arousal. This can create a lot of sexual tension and excitement, which can lead to a really intense and pleasurable orgasm. It’s like a rollercoaster ride for your body.”
    • The prolonged release of dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, testosterone, and estrogen can provide a much deeper and longer-lasting euphoric state.
    • Addiction: due to the release of neurotransmitters and hormones it is an easily addictive behavior.
    • Loss of orgasm: This can happen once (common), often (common), or permanently (rare). There is a fine line between an edging, a denied, and a ruined orgasm. Many people if edged too long can become so mentally frustrated that it gets in the way of the physical release.
    • Some people start requiring longer and longer “rollercoaster rides” to get the same level of chemical release. If this is constantly being fed, the mind and body will become programmed through classic conditioning and won’t be able to get enough to complete the release. You will easily recognize this happening and you know to take a few weeks or even a few months from all sexual activity to allow for a reset. It’s also advised to seek help from a professional therapist or psychologist who specializes in sexual addictions and dysfunctions.
    • Diminished or loss of genital sensitivity: On average it takes women 20 minutes to climax and men 2-10 minutes. Think about the amount of stimulation that it takes for an hour, two-hour, or ten-hour “rollercoaster ride” of edging! Now, multiply that by the average number of times a person masturbates and has sex a week. I don’t have those figures but that’s got to be a metric shit-ton. The nerves are so sensitive that prolonged, intense stimulation can cause them to dull. This can make it difficult, hard, or even impossible to orgasm.
    • The numbers game: rating the pleasure intensity on a scale from 0-10 and picking numbers or rolling dice for pleasure peaks and valleys.
    • How close can you get? Pushing for the exact edge of climax without going over.
    • Ejaculating without orgasm: Running a man to edge of climax and then removing all stimulation can cause men to ejaculate without the full body...

This behavior may be a component of their power exchange relationship and should be consented to beforehand”Emerson Karsh, a kink educator, said “A "brat" is a delightfully disobedient sub within the Dom/sub dynamic in BDSM. "Brats enjoy questioning dominance, as well as like for dominance to be proven to them."- Why would you want to be a brat during play or sex? Why wouldn't you? Being cheeky, disobedient, snarky, and naughty can be fun. It creates a sense of playfulness that is often missing in sex. Being a brat is a very fun way to engage with your submissive side, without being a stereotypical sub. Brats are mouthy, badly behaved, and keen on punishment."Brats get great enjoyment from playing [a game of] cat and mouse, defying authority, and in turn receiving a ‘punishment’ from their Brat Tamer," explains Julieta Chiaramonte, another kink instructor and sex expert. If you’re turned on by disobedience, this might be something you want to explore.-What it means to be a 'brat.'The brat can be a very fun submissive persona. A brat intentionally misbehaves in order to get a rise out of their Dom, often eliciting "punishments." The brat enjoys driving the Dom a bit mad with their naughtiness. It’s all centered around defying authority, which can be very hot.A brat will taunt, push boundaries, and test their Dom’s limits and patience in hopes of causing a reaction. The Brat Tamer/brat dynamic is typically very playful and easily adjusted for nearly any consenting dynamic. -How is this submission?Brats offer their submission in a way that is amusing, consensual, and done for a reaction. You’re not being obedient in the traditional D/s way, but a brat will submit when their Dom decides to punish them.-The Dom is the 'brat tamer.'They may choose to go by a different name like Sir, Daddy, Mommy,or whatever but the brat tamer is their style of Domination.Their 'role' is to put their brat in their place, remind them of the rules, and enforce punishments and order that was negotiated. While it may not appear like it to some Brat Tamer is an authoritative and patient role that one must be comfortable and confident with accepting.Brat Tamer is not a soft roll. You can not be afraid to put your foot down. It takes a...

    • KEY POINTS
      • BDSM and kinky sexual practices are increasingly seen as forms of normal sexual diversity.
      • BDSM and kinky sex can result in criminal charges, even when such behaviors are completely consensual.
      • New guidelines, known as Explicit Prior Permission (EPP), may offer protection from prosecution.
      • EPP requires explicit informed consent, no extreme behaviors, and an ability to end activities.
    • There is increasing evidence that human sexuality involves far more diverse flavors and interests than historically acknowledged. When von Kafft-Ebing first began labeling various paraphilic sexual interests, they were believed to be generally rare. But research by Joyal and Carpentier reports that nearly 50 percent of a non-clinical, random sample disclosed being interested in at least one sexual behavior historically deemed unusual or anomalous.

Kuldrin's Krypt A BDSM 101 Podcast
With over 25 years in the BDSM community and the mental health field, I have gained a unique understanding and respect for the alternative lifestyle.

As BDSM has become more mainstream it is important that people become informed and educated about truth of the BDSM community instead of letting inaccurate books and movies shape minds, opinions, and lifestyles in a way that is both incorrect and unhealthy. Myself and guests, from porn stars to pastors, will dive deep into all sides of the lifestyle to paint an accurate, informed, and unbiased picture of BDSM and the surprising truth behind the psychology of participants.
