However, during a sudden snowstorm one night, she unexpectedly connects with Sarah, a girl navigating the challenging high school landscape of 2001. The hilarious journey with an all-new perspective of the Middle East by Author Candace

I had an absolute blast having Candace MacPhie on my podcast! She's truly an inspiring individual, and our chat was incredibly captivating. Candace hails from Montreal, Quebec, and has spent years exploring the globe while backpacking and working. With a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA under her belt, she has amassed two decades of experience across four continents but now calls Calgary, Alberta, her home.

After getting married and starting a family, life got pretty hectic, and time flew by as her kids quickly grew up. To prioritize family, she made the bold choice to leave her job and focus on home life. During the COVID lockdown, with a bit more time on her hands, she decided to dive into writing and launched the "Back in a Year" series. Currently, she has three series: the first one is "Finding Color," the second is "Life Strikes Back," and her latest is "Hello, I Am Here." Candace's recent book, *Hello, I Am Here*, tells the story of her adventure with a ticket to travel the world, setting her sights on the Middle East. But instead of diving into her travels, she's stuck in Prague, pining for a guy who made it clear he doesn't love her. What keeps her there? It's like kryptonite holds her back. Together, they roam through the Czech Republic and Germany, indulging in way too many peanut butter sandwiches and avoiding their feelings—until they can't any longer.

When she finally boards a plane to meet up with her Australian friends, each step she takes through the scorching Middle Eastern heat brings a whole new set of challenges. Her escapades in Europe seem like a walk in the park compared to what lies ahead. This book captures her journey, showcasing the obstacles she faces and how she manages to push through against all odds.

The Remarkable Mentor, Author & Speaker Doug Lawrence (when you lose someone you love-dont give up)

I recently had the incredible opportunity to interview Doug Lawrence on my podcast, and it was an experience unlike any other. We dived into a wide range of significant topics, and having Doug on the show was a true highlight for me. One moment that really struck me was when I asked him why he chose the title "Grief" for his book. He shared that the book is a heartfelt dedication to his wife, who he tragically lost during the pandemic, and that just broke my heart. I can't even imagine the pain of losing someone you’ve loved for years. Doug is remarkably strong and so composed.

For those who may not know, Doug Lawrence is the founder of TalentC® and a proud co-founder of the International Mentoring Community (IMC). With over 40 years of experience in leadership and mentoring, he stands out as the only person worldwide to hold the Certificate of Practice – Journey Mentor, awarded by the IMC. As a trained Journey Mentor, he plays a pivotal role in guiding fellow mentors through the certification process offered by the IMC.

The Journey Mentor plays a significant role in being a part of the support structure for mentor health. This requires that the Journey Mentor be able to provide a deeper, richer mentoring experience. Now he has his newest book "Grief". Grief is a profound and universal experience, a natural response to the loss of someone or something deeply cherished. Yet, for many, the journey through grief is made even more difficult by a lack of personal understanding and a society rife with misconceptions about what it means to grieve. This widespread misunderstanding has contributed to a mental health pandemic, leaving countless individuals feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and without the tools to heal.

In Grief the Silent Pandemic, Doug Lawrence offers a guiding light in the darkness of loss. Drawing from decades of experience as a grief mentor and the deeply personal pain of losing his beloved wife, Lawrence provides a compassionate and insightful exploration of the grieving process.

The Journey Mentor holds an important place in the support system for mentor well-being, which means they need to offer a more meaningful and enriching mentoring experience. Now, his latest book, "Grief." Grief is a deep and universal feeling—it's a natural reaction to losing someone or something we hold dear. Unfortunately, the path through grief can be even more challenging for many due to a lack of personal insight and a society filled with misconceptions about grieving. This widespread confusion has sparked a mental health crisis, leaving many people feeling lonely, overwhelmed, and without the necessary tools for healing. With raw honesty and profound empathy, he delves into the complexities of grief, shedding light on the emotional, psychological, and societal challenges it presents. With a genuine approach and deep understanding, he explores the many layers of grief, highlighting the emotional, mental, and social hurdles it brings.

You can find out more about the book "Grief" on Doug's website http://www.talentc.ca and available on Amazon, Goodreads, and at bookstores and websites everywhere! Unforgettable International Opera/Sacred Singer & Author Kay Sparling
My conversation with Kay Sparling was truly unforgettable. Her personality is simply extraordinary. Transitioning from a long career as an opera singer to becoming an author was a significant shift for her, one that came with its challenges. Yet, she persevered and never lost hope. Kay shared that she faced numerous rejections when trying to get her book published, but rather than deterring her, those setbacks fueled her determination to push onward. Kay Sparling is an international opera and sacred singer. Now retired, she lives in the Upper Midwest with her feline writing buddy, the invincible Paducah. When not teaching voice lessons or writing, Kay enjoys gardening, hiking, adventure travelling, and cooking for her family and friends. Kay's novel "Mission Thaw" is a captivating narrative that revolves around Kaitlyn Stewart, an American opera singer currently apprenticing at the Vienna State Opera. Unexpectedly, she finds herself enlisted by the CIA as a top-tier special agent. Her mission? To deeply infiltrate a human trafficking cartel run by corrupt Western businessmen, the KGB, and East German operatives, all while gathering critical intelligence. The harrowing experiences of the displaced refugees sparked my inspiration to craft this poignant tale. Life in China had its challenges but look at Tong Ge now-a celebrated Author & Multiple Award Winner
Engaging with Tong Ge was truly enlightening and inspiring. She shared a wealth of knowledge about Chinese history with me. Her childhood was anything but easy; she faced numerous challenges that shaped her into the strong woman she is today. Tong Ge has experienced many things that no child should ever have to endure, and she has managed to transform those memories into something powerful. Tong Ge was born and raised in China. Tong Ge moved to Canada in the late 1980s as an international student, earning a Master of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992. Since 2012, she has written under both her real name and the pen name Tong Ge, publishing poetry, prose, and short stories in English and Chinese across North America, England, and Taiwan. A recipient of five literary awards and a finalist for five others. Her debut novel, The House Filler, was published in Canada in 2023. It is a finalist for the 2023 Eyelands Book Awards and the 2024 Canadian Book Club Awards for fiction and won the 2024 Independent Press Award for new fiction and National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE) Award for Literary Fiction. Tong Ge fiction novel "The House Filler" is about a family saga set in China during the most tumultuous time of the twentieth century including the Japanese invasion, the civil war, and the Communist takeover. The House Filler unfolds through the gripping journey of Golden Phoenix, a resilient woman battling the ravages of war, poverty, and political strife in her quest for survival, freedom, and happiness. Following the tragic loss of her husband, she resolves to keep her family united. Yet, dire financial circumstances lead her to the heart-wrenching choice of entrusting her teenage twins to the Red Army. Amid the chaos of the Japanese invasion of her hometown, she becomes separated from her two young daughters, while her son departs to join the Nationalist forces. Together with her adopted son, Golden Phoenix faces the relentless challenges of war. As the civil war concludes with the Communists seizing power in 1949, one of her twins, who has aligned with the Communist Party, is falsely branded a traitor and sentenced to death. One of the best interview with Author & Lawyer who loves to write thriller novels- Russell Little
During my interview with Russell Little, I was immediately drawn to his vibrant personality. He has an infectious energy, and our discussion could have flowed endlessly. We had an enjoyable time chatting about his experiences and ongoing projects. Russell has a passion for delving into murder mysteries. Russell G. Little is not only a writer but also a practicing divorce attorney based in Houston, Texas, where he resides with his wife, Melinda, whom he has been married to for thirty-two years. His novels, "Murder for Me" and "Murder by Storm," are imaginative reflections of the various individuals he has encountered throughout his life and his extensive career. "Murder by Storm" is about Marilyn is a master of deception, a chameleon living multiple lives to shield her sweet son while ensnaring naive couples in her web of schemes across Houston, Texas. Free from the clutches of the law, she weaves her plans with calculated precision. But shadows from her past loom large—her deranged mother and subservient stepfather, relentlessly badgering her with their fearful questions. And then there's O.C. Simms, the disgraced police detective obsessed with bringing her down. Fired for failing to catch her, Simms is haunted by the belief that Marilyn murdered her lover and lawyer, Larry. He's relentless, determined to hunt her until he's either vindicated or dead, defying his former captain's orders. As a hurricane bears down on Houston, Marilyn sees both a threat and an opportunity. The storm's fury will devastate the city, creating chaos and diverting attention. Amid the tempest's destruction, she crafts her most daring plan yet, aiming to exploit the storm to erase all traces of her crimes. But Simms remains undeterred, a relentless force pursuing her through the floodwaters. Is there a way for Marilyn to transform the chaos of the storm to her benefit, evading the police and erasing all traces of her actions? Can she evade justice yet again? In this intense chase, the storm is merely the opening act. Immerse yourself in a gripping crime thriller where each second counts in the fight for survival, and every choice could seal her fate. "Delicious Surrender" An engaging spicy romance in the erotic genre by Author Luce Sutherland
I recently had an extraordinary conversation with Luce Sutherland. This impressive author is not only stunning on the outside but also possesses a beautiful soul within. We shared an incredible time filled with laughter. When the topic shifts to erotic situations, the discussions certainly take an exciting turn. Let’s get to know Luce Sutherland a bit better. Luce has been enjoying enticing erotic romances long before they became popular. When those sought-after books became rare, she turned to writing her own tales featuring dominant, captivating alpha heroes and the daring, spirited heroines they seek to conquer. Luce resides with her own alpha husband in the Sunshine State, even though she tends to get sunburned just walking from her car to the grocery store. She embraces a philosophy of making the most of each day, which includes fostering genuine friendships, enjoying Maui coffee, and treating herself to Scottish gin. Additionally, Luce is a strong advocate for the importance of self-care. Her motto is "LIVE LIFE JUICY." You can learn more by subscribing to her engaging blog. Luce's novel, "Delicious Surrender" is about Brynne Larimore, who is going back to her three-date rule. Her judgmental ex-boyfriend is history, and her steamy BDSM novel needs an injection of real-life experience. Club Dominus promises an education, if she can get past the icy Scottish billionaire who owns the place. Too bad his arrogance makes her want to rattle his cage, not follow his rules. Gage MacLeod has been called a grumpy alpha-hole, and he wears the label proudly. Ruthless and unyielding, he protects his London club’s elite clientele and refuses to be tempted by the willful, curvy redhead pretending to be submissive. His pr*ck might be intrigued, but rules are rules. When Brynne attracts the attention of a notorious Russian club member known for devious tactics of seduction, Gage must make a choice: protect her or walk away. But when she betrays his trust and puts his business at risk, his wrath knows no bounds. Scorching chemistry draws them together and a very public scandal tears them apart. The Power of "Food For Thought" Using Technology for School/Co-Founders Melissa & Shandra MacMaster
I had a great conversation with Melissa MacMaster. Melissa MacMaster and her sister Shandra MacMaster, is leading this charge by harnessing the power of technology to make school lunch programs more efficient, equitable, and impactful. Their mission is that no child should go hungry. Developed in 2020 as a way for children to more easily access nutritious food during the COVID-19 pandemic. Food For Thought Software Solutions exists to help streamline Canada’s food initiative programs. They offer a reliable, sustainable, and discrete way to keep vulnerable children fed — now and into the future. In Nova Scotia, Canada—As schools across the country grapple with the challenges of ensuring every child has access to nutritious meals, innovative solutions are redefining the way they approach food security. “Food For Thought Software Solutions,” a forward-thinking company. The inspiration for “Food For Thought” emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic when widespread school closures left many children without reliable access to meals. While participating in Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 food initiative pilot project, the company’s founders witnessed the significant challenges of food distribution on a provincial scale. Recognizing the urgent need for a solution, Melissa and Shandra developed “Food For Thought”, a platform designed to revolutionize school lunch programs. Since its launch, the platform has collaborated with provincial governments, school boards, and non-profits across Canada, quickly proving its impact. Within just six months of the company’s launch, “Food For Thought” supported two major government programs—Nova Scotia’s School Lunch Relief Program and Prince Edward Island’s Healthy School Food Program. To date over 1 million meals have been ordered through their platform. This remarkable achievement highlights the power of ‘Food For Thought” and its ability to create a scalable, meaningful difference in addressing food insecurity. Food For Thought is an all-in-one online platform that enables parents to pre-order lunch from their child's school discreetly through its “pay-what-you-can” model. This approach eliminates stigma and ensures that every child—regardless of economic background—has access to healthy meals. “At Food For Thought, our mission is to eliminate food insecurity in schools and create a stigma-free environment where all children can thrive,” says Melissa MacMaster, Co-Founder and CEO. “We believe no child should go to school hungry or feel excluded because of what is packed in their lunchbox.” By fostering inclusion and a sense of belonging at the school lunch table, “Food For Thought” is paving the way for a future where no child is left behind. As governments and school boards continue to look for sustainable solutions to food insecurity, “Food For Thought Software Solutions” is proving that technology can bridge the gap between need and nourishment. By redefining what it means to merge innovation with social good, the company is setting a new standard for how we care for our most vulnerable community members—our children. If you want to contact Melissa and Shandra, you can them on their website “Food For Thought” https://www.food-for-thought.ca/ follow them on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/fftsolutions/ for more interviews, please contact Sasha Stoltz Publicity: Sasha Stoltz at Sasha@sashastoltzpublicity.com | 416.579.4804 https://www.sashastoltzpublicity.com Thank you for listening to and supporting the podcast.
