In today's episode we are unpacking how younger people and our generation are often deemed as being "lazy". Not surprisingly... we have some strong feelings.
We dive into how prioritising your health and having a work life balance DOES NOT equal laziness. We also consider some of the challenges that our generation is facing in todays day and age (that is considerably different to some of the older generations) including HECs debts and housing prices. Ultimately... despite the fact we do not wish to work 80 hours a week and we haven't bought a house yet DOES NOT MAKE US LAZY.

Have you ever thought about whether you are an interesting person? Ella recently reflected on this and decided she wanted to unpack on the podcast and discuss what is it that really makes a person interesting.
Is it someone with an interesting job? Someone who has a lot of different experiences? Someone you just seem to have a lot in common with. We go through it all and talk about what we think makes a person interesting vs really boring.
We end the episode with one of our most toxic tales to date. Another healthcare story this week that will leave your jaw on the floor.

As you all know, we have been on a weird journey when it comes to their careers. So today we thought it would be fun to look at some things that job ads include that either come across as a green flag, or things that are just an outright red flag.
We begin by Kelly posing a question to Ella around etiquette at a sporting match and her thoughts on letting children get ahead of adults, as they 'are just children'. Kelly has some strong opinions on this.. but lets see what Ella has to say.
We then dive into our discussion and end up (as per usual) getting quite passionate about our discussion, and have now promised to come up with our little cheat sheet on the REAL meaning behind words used in job ads.
We of course never finish without our toxic tales and today's one we are hearing an outrageous story in the health care industry about a patient who has no filter.

We then have a serious talk about toxic tales.. more so the LACK of toxic tales that have come in recently.. but we wouldnt leave you high and dry so Kelly delivers a story of a phone call that happened earlier in her week...

In today's episode of Just Cant Hack It, we dive into the challenging feelings of having experienced an injustice or a wrong without receiving retribution or justice. Many of us face situations where we feel wronged by others—whether in personal relationships, at work, or in broader social contexts—and grapple with the absence of a fair resolution. Today we are unpacking all these feelings and ways to manage this.
But first for our life hacks and fun facts we are doing something a little bit different this week. On theme we are speaking about the viral speech given by Harrison Butker at a College graduation - and how his speech has sparked outrage BUT some iconic things that have come as a response, and an anthem to blast when you need to rage at this type of man.
We then dive in and we speak about some of our experiences of where we have felt wronged, and how internally we feel about them and what we wish we could do to get justice.
We then dive into actual ways to manage them, as well as noting the importance of acknowledging that sometimes things are just actually shit!
We then wrap with another classic toxic tale, and this one honestly did make us feel for this poor listener who was having a really bad week.

On today's episode, we are back for a rant. You guys will know how much we hate people commenting on another person's appearance.. and guess what? Celebrities are no exception as people to bash.
We start off by a little catch up and most importantly... recognising the incredible holiday that is Kelly's birthday this week. She would love a birthday present of a 5-star review, hitting the subscribe button and sharing the podcast with a friend :)
We dive into celebrities who have copped a lot of hate and trolling around their body weight. Particularly, Lizzo, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift.
We discuss how the allegations towards Lizzo have given people this misconceived idea that they can attack her based on her body weight. We also look at how many times Selena Gomez has had to defend herself and respond to the public as a result of a chronic illness. People are also now attacking Taylor Swift and partner Travis Kelcey saying he has a dad bod... AND HES A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE. You guys will see where this is going. We are not on board with people attacking anybody, including celebrities on their weight.
We never finish an episode without our toxic tales... and this week we have two tales of people who have suffered working for a small company at the hands of their manager.
As always, be sure to follow us on @justcanthackitpod on instagram and TikTok, where you can write in any life hacks, fun facts and your toxic tales. Give Kelly the best birthday present and hit the subscribe button, leave us a 5 start review and share the podcast with your friend!

Of course we never end an episode without our toxic tales. This week we have two very interesting stories involving inappropriate touching at work and our classic gaslighting.
