Ygor Coelho grew up in the Favelas of Rio De Janeiro. The slums for drug trafficking and poverty and was totally groomed by his father to become the first Badminton Olympian for his country. In this episode we hear Ygor's journey through life as he had to be as determined as possible to make his and his fathers' dream a reality. Along the journey Ygor has had many great experiences with competition and life where he qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing and continued persisting to Rio Olympic Games 2016. Now, Ygor is currently living in Denmark competing in the Danish league for his club hojbjerg Badminton Club as well as chasing after qualification points for Toky Olypmic Games 2021. Jason Anthony Ho- Shue, Canadian men's singles and doubles star has recently completed two major events in Thailand which were hosted by the Badminton World Federation. Not only were they major events for athletes accross the globe but also welcome back for badminton events since the world was struck with the COVID- 19 pandemic. Jason is sharing insight to what his life was like in the bubble while spending 3 weeks in Thailand as well as the experiene as to what is was like to compete on an international stage again. In addition, Jason shares some history about himself with the sport and how his daily is regarding his schedules with training, school, treatment etc. Jason is also on his was to qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games 2021. With that being said, we would like to wish him all the best in his feature endeavours.

A dual citizen but representing one country worldwide is Nicholas Bonkowsky. A late start has never made him doubt his capabilities through his hard work and dedication throughout the years. From training in China, Pan Am Camps and under the eyes of Korean Legend, Kim Dong Moon, Nicholas has a lot in store for us regarding his life as a professional athlete and coach. A tough balance when he commits minimum 30 hours a week to his players but as Nicholas clearly states, 'Where there's a will, there's a way'.
Of course he has faced some major disappointments. So tune in to hear about how crucial the points system is for the badminton world and how Nicholas was 0.1 of a point away from qualifying for the Men's singles draw at the Badminton World Championships in Scotland.
