Since the October 7 massacres parts of Hollywood and the wider entertainment industry have been accused of failing to condemn Hamas in a meaningful way.
At the biggest showbiz event of the year, the Oscars, Director Jonathan Glazer, accepting the International Feature academy award for Zone of Interest said, "we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation".
The Holocaust Survivors’ Foundation USA has condemned the speech as “morally indefensible” and “disgraceful”.
The Sun’s David Ross speaks with Leo Pearlman, managing partner of the production company Fulwell 73, to get his take on Hollywood's response and his experiences.

Hamas leader and October 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar has been seen on video running through a terror tunnel with his children, just days after two hostages were rescued by Israeli special forces in Rafah. Israel has faced pressure from the international community to pause a planned offensive in the city. The Sun’s David Ross speaks with Middle East commentator Hillel Fuld, who says the IDF needs to push ahead and wipe out Hamas. In related news, it's being described as an 'explosion of hatred' in the UK. More than 4,000 anti-semitic incidents were recorded in Britain in 2023, with the "sheer volume" following on from the Hamas attacks of October 7th. David Ross speaks to Liahav Eitan, a Jewish victim of antisemitism at London’s Soho theatre this week.

On June 27th 1976, Air France Flight 139, left Tel Aviv for Paris, carrying 246 mainly Jewish and Israeli passengers. The plane made a stop in Athens, where it picked up another 58 people.
Shortly after takeoff, it was hijacked and the flight was diverted first to Libya and then Entebbe Airport in Uganda.
After a tense few days, Israel launched an audacious and ultimately successful rescue operation that is considered today to be one of the greatest counter-terror operations of all time.
Benny Davidson, was one of the hostages. He was just 13 at the time. In episode 15 of The Sun's new podcast, Israel's War on Terror, David Ross speaks to Benny about his experiences.

Israeli families have also faced new fears this week that their beloved wives, partners and children could have suffered horrific sexual abuse at the hands of Hamas while being held hostage.
Some in the Israeli medical community have expressed fears that sexually abused hostages could return to Israel pregnant.

Israel’s military leaders say its operation to destroy the Hamas terror group is shifting from intense battles to more targeted operations. IDF Rear admiral Daniel Hagari has said the Israel Defense Forces are likely to use fewer ground troops in Gaza going forward.
Casey Babb from the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv says the Hamas leadership is increasingly the focus.
This next military phase comes as The International Court of Justice - the I-C-J has been asked to hear a case brought by South Africa as to whether Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. It does not have the backing of most western countries including the US and the UK.
We spoke with Anne Herzberg, Legal Advisor at NGO Monitor who explained why Israel so vehemently rejects the accusation which it considers baseless.

In the latest episode of The Sun's 'Israel's War on Terror' podcast, we hear from one of the 'voices of the conflict', Egyptian author Dalia Ziada.
In the wake of the Hamas terror massacre of October 7 2023 in southern Israel, in which 1200 people were murdered and around 240 others were taken hostage, anti-Semitism soared.
Instead of sympathy for the victims, many people on social media and commentators on the Middle East, failed to criticise the terrorists despite the sickening details of the atrocities. Ziada explains how she was forced into hiding for siding with Israel and daring to criticise Hamas.
Her comments come amid fears the region is on the brink of a wider conflict with Hezbollah increasing its attacks from Lebanon and Israel purportedly behind the assassination of a Hamas leader in Beirut.
Author and counter-terror expert Samuel Katz explains how the situation may develop from here.

Since the terror massacre by Hamas of around 1200 people in southern Israel on October 7th, Israelis and Jewish people around the world have had to get re-accustomed to the historic harsh realities of their existence.
Many feel they're battling false narratives, negative commentary as to the way Israel is responding, a rise in anti-Semitism, the compromised response of aid groups and the United Nations and the rewriting of history.
Arguably the toughest moments come with the mistakes that happen in the fog of war. Israel is trying to come to terms with the news that the IDF accidentally shot dead three hostages waving white flags who appeared to have escaped from the clutches of Hamas.
Tal Heinrich is a news anchor, middle east expert and a spokesperson for the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.
In an exclusive interview with the The Sun, she says there's no easy explanation as to why these devastating tragedies happen, but in this case, the rules of engagement were not followed correctly.
Heinrich also tackles several more of the pressing issues of the conflict including the fate of the remaining hostages, prospects of a deal, UN ceasefire negotiations, de-radicalisation challenges and if there is a threat to European cities by Hamas or its supporters.

In episode 10 of The Sun's new podcast 'Israel's War on Terror', we hear from Dumisani Washington the founder and CEO of The Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI), who says the consequences are huge when the deception that Hamas is aligned with Civil Rights Movements isn't called out.
Critics of Hamas are warning watchers of the conflict not to be fooled by the terror group's bid to align itself with victims of oppression. Hamas is accused of cynically disguising its murderous intent to annihilate Jews by portraying itself as having some parity with civil rights organisations.
