In our hearts, we all desire to be truly seen for the love that we innately are. The problem is we often find ourselves trapped in a painful paradox—believing we're not evolved enough, aligned enough, or simply enough to share who we really are. This episode explores the common road we find ourselves on when we don't feel witnessed from our authentic core, where we cling to false stories about who we need to become to receive love, praise, or validation. These stories become a thick veil obscuring our true purpose, keeping us from recognizing that our specialness isn't something we earn—it's divinely given the moment we draw breath. What if the very thing we're searching for has been right in front of us all along, waiting for you to reclaim your truth.
In this episode, you'll discover:
This episode is an invitation to recognize that your gifts aren't waiting for you to become more worthy—they're calling you forward right now, asking you to hold the love you are regardless of circumstances. Your secret sauce has been with you all along—the question is whether you're willing to look for it in the last place your ego wants you to search. Consider this your reminder that you are vital, important, and needed—held always in unconditional love.
What if the very independence you've cultivated to protect yourself is actually blocking you from receiving more of life's blessings? This week the Divine continues to nudge me to see where I may be unintentionally blocking my ability to receive through the surprising shield of empowerment! I love to think of all of us as empowered. But lurking in the shadow of repeatedly saying "I've got this"—when the reality was I needed help—I was forced to address my shame around neediness. Can we have needs and be empowered? Of course! In fact, what I discovered is that being both capable and receptive is how we allow our hearts to overflow so we have more than enough to give.
Join me as we discuss:
This episode is an invitation to reconsider what it truly means to stand in your worth. While being empowered means we are able to have our own back, it doesn't have to come at the cost of getting the support we need. Through our human experiences, we get to know what it's like to fuel ourselves from within while having the loving, generous grace of others support us. That's when we experience overflow that has a ripple effect on others. That's the love we're meant to receive and give!
You are spiritually-minded, conscientious, and by all means a pretty damn good person. So how on Earth is it that you, of all people, may be more likely to struggle to receive your desires? Well, it is often the well-meaning, but outdated ways we’ve been made to believe what makes us “good.” I invite you to join me as I share my recent experience with jealousy, how I saw my own self-sabotaging behaviors, and ultimately the gift I received from alchemizing jealousy from my heart.
In this conversation, you’ll discover:
This episode offers a powerful invitation to discover what becomes possible when you honor every part of who you are. Your jealousy isn't making you less spiritual—it might be the very thing trying to show you where you're ready to expand. There's nothing to fix, nothing to be ashamed of, only more love to remember.

What if the numbness you're feeling isn't a sign that something's wrong with you, but rather evidence that you are entering a new phase of life? In this deeply vulnerable episode, we explore a part of the human journey that rarely gets discussed—that uncomfortable space where you feel stuck, empty, and disconnected despite having "done all the work." Part of the reason this remains unspoken is that not everyone is called to go to these inner depths in this lifetime. This isn't about your first awakening or your introduction to shadow work. This is about what comes after, when the Divine calls you into a deeper dismantling that has nothing to do with external achievement and everything to do with remembering the truth of who you are. While being "chosen" to experience this phase feels like you've won the booby prize, the joke is on your ego—crossing into this threshold of numbness is the exact path to feeling enlivened with and through an infinite love that is you.
In this episode, you'll discover:
• Why emotional numbness functions as your internal anesthesia during a profound identity shift
• What the soup stage of remembrance requires
• What it means to be "chosen" for this difficult passage and why your sensitivity is actually your strength
• The surprising connection between small escapes (like that evening buzz) and spiritual awakening
• Simple practices that support you when everything feels like it's falling apart
• Why comparing yourself to others during this phase completely misses the point
This episode offers both validation and a roadmap for those brave enough to face the muck of transformation. Whether you arrived here through sudden crisis or slow unraveling, you'll find permission to honor exactly where you are—and an invitation to go even deeper if you're ready. Because sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is acknowledge that you're turning to soup, and trust the process.
If you would like deeper insight and guidance during this phase, check out my private podcast series called Eyes Wide Open: https://michellebersell.com/eyes-wide-open/.
What happens after you finally do the brave thing? Here’s a normal part of the human messiness we don't talk about enough: the anxiety that can show up after you've already taken the courageous step. My last two podcasts on a Priestess and a Pastor brought up what I call "ego backlash"—that last-ditch attempt of the ego to pull you backinto safety.
It's like I've already leaped off the cliff—the episode isrecorded, the decision is made—but now my ego is frantically reaching back, fingers scraping against the rock face, trying to find something to grab onto. The thing is, I'm already in mid-air. The only way forward is down, into theunknown, trusting that whatever is below will catch me.
This is my real-time process I went through that may support you to continue to honor your courage despite fear screaming at you to retreat.
Key Takeaways:
· Understanding why discomfort gets louder before the breakthrough
· What it means to truly cut ourselves free from the ego’s puppet strings
· The difference between false safety and true alignment
· How to anchor courage in your heart when your mind is spinning with worst-case scenarios
· Why we need lives that occasionally cause us anxiety—and what that really means
Here's what I keep coming back to: we are each a unique expression of the divine, and life gets so much betterwhen we allow that truth to work through us. The ego will never tell you what's possible on the other side of fear because it simply doesn't know. But your heart does. And sometimes the greatest act of self-love is honoring both thecourage it takes to step forward and the compassion needed for the discomfort that follows.

In today’s episode, I’m sharing what deepening my relationship with the Divine has really looked like — and why I’m grateful for every twist and turn along the way. While I loved church as a child and always felt spiritually connected, there have been many turning points that challenged everything I thought I knew. Each step toward my spiritual truth required me to face fear — and each time, I was met with a love far greater than my mind could comprehend.Join me and Pastor Jeff Larson as I open up about my journey from a traditional Christian upbringing to walking the Priestess Path of the Way of Love.In this conversation, you’ll hear:- Why, as a devout Catholic woman, I once feared I’d be “struck by lightning” for stepping outside traditional beliefs — and how that leap led me to deeper love- The pivotal moment Mary Magdalene appeared to me in the middle of the night with a spiritual invitation- My years of anger over the absence of feminine representation in Christianity — and how I moved through it- How studying ancient, long-buried texts transformed my understanding of Yeshua/Jesus and early Christianity- The surprising ways “dark goddesses” like Hecate and Lilith became my guides during the hardest seasons of my life- Why my return to church looks different now — and why it matters for my faithThis is an intimate, thought-provoking conversation about the intersection of traditional Christianity and divine feminine spirituality. Jeff and I explore judgment, spiritual authority, and the tension between personal revelation and communal faith. You’re invited to join us as we open up new possibilities for spiritual inclusion — honoring both mystical experience and the comfort of tradition.
This is a super quick bonus episode in keeping true to sharing with you the raw aspects of my life. I'm sharing my journey from unknowingly bracing my heart against life's impact, to experiencing the powerful transformation of having my heart broken open—more fully and beautifully—through the power of love.
Please let me know if these bonus episodes are helpful or resonate. Thanks!
If you ever struggle with the faith that you were raised in, felt like you didn’t belong, or spiritually homeless, this episode is for you. In this episode of I’m Perfectly Divine, I am interviewing the pastor of Ozaukee Congregational Church, Jeff Larson. This is the church my family belonged to for almost twenty years, but one I didn’t attend most of the time because I felt I didn’t fit. This episode is Part 1 of our conversation that allowed two people of seeming different beliefs bridge the “Divine Divide,” with humility and genuine respect.
Join us as we explore:
This conversation offers hope for anyone who has felt caught between your heart that knows divine love and religious structures that feel confining or fear-based. Rather than advocating for any particular path, this episode demonstrates how mutual respect and theological humility can create space for authentic spiritual exploration. Then, stay tuned for Part Two, next week, where I will share more of my own journey integrating the Divine Feminine with my Christian roots. With love, I believe we can overcome an either-or approach to spirituality and instead give way to something far more expansive and inclusive.

Welcome to Season 3 of I’m Perfectly Divine Podcast! The best way I can attempt to describe this next season is similar to the song Messy by Lola Young, but more spiritual and willing to take radical responsibility for anything that feels limiting to you.
What I love about the song is the bravery to speak the complexity we feel being human. The courage to let go of trying to prove yourself and instead be with every aspect of yourself.
It isn’t the labels such as being “messy” that limit how we show up in the world. It is when we can’t hold all of who we are with love and responsibility.
How do we hold who we are with both love and responsibility? It’s tricky right?
We want to be ourselves but it can feel like we are falling short. Well, that is what the love of our emotions is guiding us to overcome.
So, really this season is me being non-scripted to navigate all of my human and divine aspects in real time. So far, this has already meant sharing the inner voices that pop up and how I challenge myself to to be with all aspects of myself from love. And…I am going to be challenging you to do the same. (Which is why, I keep reiterating that if you aren’t up for the challenge, that’s okay. That is also an important phase to be in and you honoring that phase is vitally important.)
You and me, we are strong, spiritual, and sensitive for a reason…to be more of the love that our hearts can experience, feel, and hold so that others can do the same. The only way to do that is to go into the parts and places where fear still resides. My hope is that while I share my messiness that there’s something relatable to you that will support you to remember the love you are as well, regardless of how your ego may be trying to convince you otherwise.

The greatest source of your spiritual power has been hidden from all of us in plain sight. My belief is this has been purposefully done to us, as a means of control. Now we have the opportunity to reclaim your truest, most loving self through a gateway that you’ve been taught to distrust. Drawing from ancient texts that were buried for nearly 2,000 years, let’s explore how we’ve been deliberately undermined from this power within and what becomes possible when we collectively reclaim it.
Key Revelations You'll Discover:
This conversation is an invitation to reclaim your internal power as a radical act of love and freedom. It’s time to take in the innate guidance of your feelings as trustworthy messengers of spirit. You can learn to work with your emotions skillfully to be the very force that realigns you with your inner wisdom, transform your life path, and reconnect you to the Divine love within.

Most of us have been taught there are only two ways to handle emotions: either you're "regulated" and in control, or you're a hot mess on an emotional rollercoaster. Of course, given those choices, we're all going to try to be regulated. No one wants to feel like they're constantly reactive or creating drama.
So we learn all the tools—breathing techniques, exercise, meditation, or prayer. Maybe we turn to some Netflix binges or late-night scrolling sessions, as well. We get really good at calming ourselves down when intensity hits. Learning to pause instead of react and developing ways to cool down in heated moments—these are valuable life skills that can save relationships and careers.
The problem with stopping our emotions there is that we don’t learn how to channel this energy to transform us to remember who we truly are. Or worse yet, we don’t understand that your feelings serve a bigger purpose and in learning to turn them down, we’ve actually turned away from trusting ourselves.

Join me as I explore what might be possible when we move beyond the control-versus-chaos narrative and discover how we are meant to channel this divinely given power to live fully, freely, and lovingly from our Truth.

Episode 217: The Gift of Time: Giving Yourself Restoration for Your Soul
You have had that call to engage in something that is beyond yourself and to give all of yourself to it. This is the act of devotion. But with pretty much all human acts, the ego can wiggle it’s way in to even the most divinely guided calls from our heart.
The art is in the allowing spirit to guide you into the unexpected, because as you stretch yourself through this heart-felt commitment, you become more of the embodied version of your Truth.
In this episode, you’ll see how devotion isn’t about grand gestures, but small ways you reinforce your commitment to listening to your inner guidance.
Plus, you’ll discover:
Devotion, at its core, is about choosing to show up with heart. It’s about the quiet commitments that open us to awe, tenderness, and transformation. Whether you're called to deepen love with family, the Divine, or your own inner knowing, this episode invites you to soften into the sacred path that devotion reveals.
There always seems to be someone our ego quietly judges—and more often than not, it’s because, on some level, we sense they’re judging us. These aren’t always loud conflicts or obvious betrayals. Instead, they show up as subtle slights, unspoken disappointments, or interactions that leave behind tiny paper cuts to the heart. Over time, these wounds build invisible walls—causing us to guard ourselves, hold quiet grudges, and withhold love.
Forgiveness is not just about the obvious wounds or dramatic fallouts. In this episode, we explore the subtler echoes of judgment, blame, and disappointment that linger in our everyday relationships—those quiet paper cuts to the heart we often ignore.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
Throughout life, there are major events that clearly shape us—moments so impactful they demand our attention. But just as important are the more subtle ways we protect our hearts. These quiet slights we take to heart—moments of disappointment, judgment, or emotional distance—often go unnoticed, yet they leave behind lingering stories and small grudges we carry forward. Learning to recognize these stories and rewrite them with greater truth and compassion allows us to forgive not just others, but ourselves. This is the deeper work of love—the kind that liberates us from within and opens the path to greater inner and outer peace, and freedom.
Having labeled myself as spiritual and sensitive, I somehow came to believe that meant I also had to be serious. I thought I needed to be deeply conscientious and devoted to others—so my sassy self never quite seemed to fit. That is, until I realized that our sassy, cheeky selves are an innate part of our divinity.
Yes, your irreverent, rule-breaking side may be the exact medicine your Sacred Self needs to feel more alive, magnetic, and joyful. If you’ve ever hidden your sass to keep the peace, worried about being misunderstood, or toned yourself down to avoid discomfort, this episode is your invitation to not just reclaim but deepen your innate sass!
We’ll explore:
As we embrace this dance between boldness and sensitivity, cheekiness and consciousness, we learn how to show up more freely and fully. This is where intimacy deepens, boundaries become clearer, and life gets a lot more fun. Tune in to remember the sassy younger self within you—the one who knew what she deserved and wasn’t afraid to speak her truth. Because that spark? It’s still in you and it is absolutely divine!
Not only is your intuition meant to make life easier, but as you deepen your relationship to it, the inner guidance you receive can radically change your life. In a world that loves to draw lines, choose sides, and claim certainty, what does it really mean to find peace? In this episode of I’m Perfectly Divine, we explore the messy, beautiful complexities of peace—not the polished version, but the kind of peace that can hold when life doesn’t go as planned. In a world filled with judgments, I invite us to explore if peace is meant to be more of a journey that invites us into the messiness of life and how to be in complexities we are wresting with in a manner that allows for unity over separation.
Key Takeaways:
This conversation isn’t about finding the easy button to peace—it’s about embodying a peace that can hold complexity, that honors both strength and softness, both war and surrender. Whether you’re someone who boldly plants your flag with a clear stance or someone who bridges the in-between of both, your voice belongs here. Listen in as we explore how to be the peace we’re all seeking—starting from within.
