I am who I am - Ex 3:14
Simple as Trust

Can you imagine a world where all our problems are fixed with a simple statement said in confidence?  “My Father will take care of it.” Can we ever set our minds to a statement so simple and yet so enduring?https://namibiancornerstone.wordpress.com/2025/08/06/simple-as-trust/

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
I am Alive

We all face death. Whether it comes suddenly or when you know time is running out through a terminal illness like cancer. When we face death, are we ready for it? Do we face it with fear and trepidation or bravely with hope? And what do we say to the ones we leave behind? Jesus spoke about death to the ones he cared about. Not to worry them but to reassure them.

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
Time and chance

The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong,

Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favour to men of skill;

But time and chance happen to them all.

God does not judge the way humans judge. Can we ever blame him for not saving his own children? Can we ever accuse him of not being faithful or merciful? The wise man stops and contemplates life. He asks important questions: questions about this world or the next, questions about life and death, questions about right and wrong, questions about what is good and what is not.

I am Philip

Logic does not work against miracles, it works with miracles. By having understanding we can approach the problem logically, but revelation is complete confidence in the solution to the problem. Simply put, If we start by saying I have nothing, I am no closer to solving the problem, but if we start by saying I have something, we are already closer to the solution.

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
I am the Salt of the Earth

Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?

Salt is part of a very important process it seems. In ancient times, once something was prepared or washed, it was salted to preserve it. Salt was added to grain offerings, salt was added to meat offerings and more importantly salt was not to be left out of anything, that was to be presented to the Lord.

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
Good or Bad

What if when the truth is revealed, instead of repenting and turning away from the bad thing we have done, we justify ourselves and get others to take the blame for us? What if instead of accepting we are evil we accuse God of being evil? What if we lean on our own understanding instead of leaning on God, because what we think seems good? The Last Hour

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

Jesus did not come to save this world, but he came to save us from this world. This world is evil, it’s a distraction of what we really need, we need only Jesus.

I am fully known

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.  For scriptural references you can read this blog here: https://namibiancornerstone.com/i-am-fully-known/

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
I am the bread

Everything has a curse and a blessing. As they say, it's a yin and yang effect, that the good thing can also become bad. It’s a way of keeping us on our toes so we can never become too comfortable with the same strategy. Our God that we serve is a living God, he is always present and always faithful, a Good Father. We can always go to him if we need anything, especially advice. We are called to follow, like little children, we will never be wise, but wisdom is in our midst.

God is a Good Father

If a child misbehaves, would you not discipline and teach them so that you instil in them a good character and so that their testimony becomes a guide to others?  Why would we expect anything different from our Father in heaven?

I am beautiful

Believe that God’s Grace is sufficient. What He has given you, son and daughter of Christ, is enough. God knows what is good for you and what is not, more than you know yourself. Even though we disagree, we ought to accept he knows best and we can testify, that he is a good father. The Way

In these last days, there will be many who come with teachings and present a way that is not in line with God’s way, they aim to lead astray and with thoughts that do not lean on Jesus but are cumbersome. They lean on their own understanding and their “human” teaching is for the things of the world and not for the kingdom. Their words do not promote godly faith but promote the will of man. Faith is holding on to what God has given us firmly. God has given us His Holy Spirit and His Word to lead us with grace and ease into his kingdom. He will never abandon his children. There is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit of God. For scriptural reference, you can read this blog here: https://namibiancornerstone.com/the-way/

Forever Loved

God is a Faithful Father. This is a truth we come to learn and accept about God. He will never change, He remains faithful and good despite our shortcomings or catastrophic mistakes in life. His guardianship is different from what the world portrays parents to be. We as earthly parents can relate, but our love is not equal to God’s love for his children.

I am Cain

We don’t know what happened to Cain after he killed his brother Abel, did he go on to kill more people? Did he learn his lesson through a life removed from the presence of God? Which murderer was he at the end of his days?  All we know is that God gave him time and chance. Genesis 4, James 1:21, Nehemiah 9, Ecclesiastes 9

Then End of the Age

People look at the World and what is happening around them and wonder, when is this World coming to an end? Can evil continue to flourish? When or what is the end of the age? Is it the end of the world as we know it or is it God’s judgement of evil? Our perception of what happens on Earth is never the same as the perception of the one who watches from above.

Jesus or Moses

Everyone wants love, of that I’m sure, but I’m not convinced that everyone knows how to love or what love is. Love and law go together, love without law or rules is chaotic and confusing and law without love is cruel. In a relationship this formula between love and law is important for creating peace and understanding is the key. For scriptural references, you can read this blog here: https://namibiancornerstone.com/jesus-or-moses/ Exodus 18:13, Luke 16:16, Romans 2:17, Hebrews 7:18, Hebrews 11:4

I am who I am - Ex 3:14
I am a Widow

“The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help.  But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.” The children and widows are always considered the most vulnerable in the kingdom of God, because they rely on others in the kingdom to provide for them. In anchient days they had no land of their own and it was down to the family and the rest of the community to take care of them. As we read in the stories of the Bible, sometimes they were kind and sometimes they were not, but God commanded the Israelites to do this for he loved the children and the widows. It is our duty as a community of God’s people, to know who the children of God and the widows of God are so that “proper recognition and acknowledgement is given”. That proper recognition is according to God and it is also an acknowledgement made to God, for he reveals who these widows and children are and we agree by the Spirit of truth. Even if we don’t “see them” as they are in the world, the Holy Spirit testifies who they are. As Jesus says, “a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you.” For scriptural references you can read this blog here: https://namibiancornerstone.com/i-am-a-widow/

The New Normal

Do you remember when people used to use this term during the COVID-19 pandemic?

I remember, people saying it because life seemed so “abnormal” from what we were used to before and during that time we were not sure if life would ever be the same again and for many of us it was never the same again…

I am a Mother

Earthly love is merely a copy of the Heavenly love, which is infinitely better. Our biological brothers, sisters and our mother and father are our family, born to us on Earth and we are connected by blood.  Jesus said, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” Those who hear God’s word and put it into practice are those who love the Lord with all their hearts, minds and souls. They share the same spirit as Jesus. You could say that spiritually they are of the same blood.
