I am a Widow

I am a Widow

“The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help.  But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives.” The children and widows are always considered the most vulnerable in the kingdom of God, because they rely on others in the kingdom to provide for them. In anchient days they had no land of their own and it was down to the family and the rest of the community to take care of them. As we read in the stories of the Bible, sometimes they were kind and sometimes they were not, but God commanded the Israelites to do this for he loved the children and the widows. It is our duty as a community of God’s people, to know who the children of God and the widows of God are so that “proper recognition and acknowledgement is given”. That proper recognition is according to God and it is also an acknowledgement made to God, for he reveals who these widows and children are and we agree by the Spirit of truth. Even if we don’t “see them” as they are in the world, the Holy Spirit testifies who they are. As Jesus says, “a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you.” For scriptural references you can read this blog here: https://namibiancornerstone.com/i-am-a-widow/
