This we the ladies take some time to opine about how we feel about going to The Cheesecake Factory on a first date. As usual, we are split, but it ends up being all good! Is it about having standards, having humility, or a little bit of both?

Friends! This epi is about how women can just not win. If we leave the relationship, we get blamed. If we stay, we are stupid! We digest how to free ourselves mentally and emotionally from giving the outside world credence to our personal life. Join us!

Is it just us or does it feel like a lot of celebrities are spilling their life and relationship drama a lot more right now? From the Wade's, to the Smith's and even our girl Britney Jean Spears. We are receiving information overload! Some of it's juicy and some of it's just plain ol' cringey but right now we kinda just want them to... take us out the group chat. 

Why does it seem like Black women are the only women that are ever given advice to take what they can get. It is apparent that all other women are urged to get married, have high standards, and live softly! Dai and Li talk a little bit today about how mediocre advice is exhausting black women, and that we want people to know, kin or not, we will not allow that to be pushed on us anymore. Instead of pushing mediocrity on us, champion excellence to those around us! Thanks in advance.

On this week's episode we piggy back off of the last episode where we talked about venting about friends. This week we discuss why that conversation came about it in the first place and can you believe, it all started because a random woman on the internet decided to put a friend group on blast because they were venting about a friend? What are your thoughts on Social Media Vigilantes?

Is it okay to vent to your friends about other friends? This week we get really candid with each other and let it be known that we both vent about each other. We both feel it's healthy to do so, but it does feel a little weird to know that we do this. Is it a betrayal to vent to someone else? Should you only speak to the friend you have an issue with? That's the question. 

It grinds our gears when the question is asked, "What do you bring to the table?" It comes off as condescending and disrespectful. Someone who is actually interested in you will get to know you and figure out if you are actually compatible with their lifestyle. Your girls at Honestly Friends have our thoughts about this raggedy table.

Do birds of a feather always flock together? And do we always want it to be that way? What if you want to expand your horizons and your friends do not or are unable? Per usual, we have thoughts!!

We knew that we wanted to talk about this topic, but it took us a minute to post it as it requires you to really sit down with yourself and investigate what you want out of life. It was hard for our podcast so that means its even harder to put into words in real life! We hope that our thoughts get the ball rolling for ya'll when the time comes to state your dating non-negotiables.

If you pay attention, you will see that a good amount of men be out here settling too! We are all taught not to settle in life, but usually, as women, we can think of it in terms of a women's perspective. Today's episode takes some time to highlight some signs to look for when trying to determine if a guy that you are dealing with is truly wanting to be with you or if he is settling for you. And if he is settling, run!

How sway? There are friends that you will come across that are only upset when someone ruffles their feathers, but they have no problems being the offender. Does that work for ya'll? Dai & Li talk about how there is often one friend in the friend group that is allowed to get away with bad behavior more than everyone else.

Have you ever been seemingly good with a friend and all of a sudden, they fell of the face of the earth? No communication at all is there between the two of you anymore, but you still see them living their best lives. You are just not a part of it anymore. Damn, ghosted! It is painful and we wanted to talk about why we think it happens in an in-depth manner! Tune in for our take on it!

It has been a week for black folks to say the least! The ancestors helped us stand up for one of our own on August 5th and we talk about what this means for us on both a micro and macro level. This week also brought us news about Tory Lanez's sentencing. This topic can be yet another awkward moment in a friendship. One can find themselves having self-doubt with even broaching the subject in fear of seeming overly sensitive and not wanting to seem needy. It looks like Jordyn Woods & Kylie Jenner have made up. At minimum, seeing this makes someone introspectively consider if they could ever do that. Furthermore, the public can also speculate if they think Jordyn should be giving Kylie another chance. Because best believe it is Jordyn who should be calling the shots concerning boundaries this time around.  Can friends find their way back to each other after a friendship break up?

The innanets have been active this summer with the troubling opinions of some of our high-profile talented sisters' boyfriends these past few weeks, and we are not going to let this pass without correcting a few points that have been put out there! We understand that these are people's actual relationships that they hold near and dear so we hope they can find a healthy pathway forward. We would be remiss, however, to not challenge a few points that we feel are highlighted too much in our culture that are unhealthy and detrimental.
