Hiking to Ourselves is about the hike that we have to do to reach the best version of ourselves. the hike can be hard, and at times it can feel so hard that we start pondering whether the view at that point is beautiful enough for us to simply stop there. well, those moments will be an opportunity for us to take in the view of how far we’ve come and acknowledge ourselves, but after that we’ll gently push ourselves and keep going. the goal of the podcast is to share ideas that connect, challenge, and sometimes change us, and I can’t wait to start this hike with you listening.

5. gratefulness

here's the link to the article about the benefits of gratitude:

https://www.helpguide.org/articles/mental-health/gratitude.htm

keep this in mind, being grateful does not mean settling with the life you have now, it just means cherishing who you have become and what brought you to where you are now, while still working for your biggest and wildest goals.

Hiking to Ourselves
1. primary & accessory goals
today, in the inaugural episode of Hiking to Ourselves, we talk about goals. There is a main difference between what I call “primary” goals and “accessory goals,” and this difference is what we’ll explore in the episode. I will also talk about how to identify the goals we are pursuing and a strategy that might help when we decide which goals to pursue. the idea behind all this is not to have static goals. Goals are, and should be dynamic. They should change and transform as we also change and transform, but it is always important to be aware of which goals we are working towards and whether they are actually the ones we want to work towards. enjoy the episode!
