What does it really mean to love like Jesus in marriage?
The Bible gives us a blueprint — and when we follow it, our spouses should be able to testify that they feel loved like Christ commands. Not just in words, but in action.
📖 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 reminds us love is patient, kind, not self-seeking, not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs.
📖 Galatians 5:22–23 shows us the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If the Spirit is in us, this fruit should be visible in how we love.
📖 Ephesians 5:22–25 calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives to submit as unto the Lord.
📖 John 13:34–35 tells us to love one another as Christ has loved us.
📖 Colossians 3:12–14 says to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience — and over all these, put on love.
📖 Romans 12:10 calls us to honor one another above ourselves.
This week’s episode of Healed & Holy is a call to check our receipts: does our love for our spouse look like the love Jesus modeled?

Forgiveness isn’t easy… but it’s powerful.
In Acts 7:56–60, as Stephen was being stoned to death, he prayed, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” Even in his final moments, he chose forgiveness. And then Scripture says he fell asleep — he had peace while dying, because he trusted God completely.
Imagine how much more peace we could have while living if we gave our anger, offense, and frustration to God.
Marriage is one of the greatest classrooms for forgiveness. You’ll be tested, stretched, and challenged — but every time you choose forgiveness, you choose freedom, peace, and unity in your covenant.
🎧 Tune in to this week’s episode of Healed & Holy as we talk about the radical power of forgiveness and what it means to practice it in marriage.

This episode is a love letter—
To my husband.
To God.
And to anyone believing that marriage can be beautiful when it’s built with Him at the center. 💛
Over the years, I’ve watched my husband grow into the man I prayed for—and I’ve grown right alongside him. His patience, his thoughtfulness, the way he sees me… it’s not just romantic—it’s holy. ✨
But here's the truth: This kind of love doesn’t just happen.
It’s cultivated. It’s refined.
It’s a result of prayer, patience, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you’re married, preparing for marriage, or praying for restoration—this episode will meet you where you are and point you straight to the One who transforms hearts and unions.

Philippians 2:2 NLT
In this episode we talk about understanding the POWER in submission and how to win at marriage every single day.
Scriptures referenced:
In the same way, you wives must accept the authority of your husbands. Then, even if some refuse to obey the Good News, your godly lives will speak to them without any words. They will be won over”
1 Peter 3:1 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/1pe.3.1.NLT
“And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
Ephesians 5:21 NLT
“In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.”
1 Peter 3:7 NLT
“For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”
Ephesians 5:22-25, 28, 33 NLT
“Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly.”
Colossians 3:19 NLT
