Hello Friends,
On this episode I discuss ‘The Long Walk’ with my buddies Degree Studies and Arturo. First 30 are spoiler free, but I don’t think this film needs to be unspoiled, so just listen to the whole thing. On first glance the film appears to be about Mark Hamillian fascism but it’s truly about the kind of love that can only be experienced by two young men on a 500 mile death march through New England.
Thank you for listening!

We talk about the new PTA movie ‘One Battle After Another’. It’s not really a movie you can spoil, IMO, so if you don’t plan to see this movie you can still listen to the episode.

Hi Everyone,
Granite Mtn. Media is launching a new show called Sports In Bio and here is episode 1. It’s hosted by Merts Grungus and Cainhurst, two guys I’ve become friends with over the past few years. I may appear on their show at some point in the future but this episode is just Merts and Cain. These guys are real NFL heads but more importantly they’re cool and funny. I LOLed many times when I listened through this and think you will too. Hope you listen and enjoy.
Listener discretion is advised, don’t listen around kids, these guys are based…etc.
Enjoy,
Granite

Had the great pleasure to sit down with Oliver Bateman of Oliver Bateman Does the Work to discuss 1989’s No Holds Barred starring Hulk Hogan. The film is a failure on most technical and artistic dimensions but retains a certain charm. I enjoyed watching it. It’s free on Tubi, but you don’t really need to see it in order to follow our conversation, which is only partially about the film.
I’ve been reading Oliver’s work for the past few years and he’s a great writer. I suggest you go subscribe to his Substack.

‘Camp Nowhere’ (1994) is a movie about a bunch of kids who, along with the help of a disgraced drama teacher, scam their parents and start their own summer camp. While the film doesn’t present itself as “realistic,” it does provide insight into attitudes about childhood and parenting in the 1990s.
