Hey gals! Today I bring you another (chaotic, sorry about the audio) episode. I'm leaving for Oxford TOMORROW... at least at the time I recorded this... and wanted to wrap this up with a Q&A as usual. You know I won't let you down xoxo Beyond catching up, let's talk everything wellness, pop culture, fall and figure out whether we're into it or not.

Today we have a shortie but a goodieeee AKA an episode on academic growth with the one and only @manili.jpg!! I met Mandi during my time at the University of Edinburgh; there, she was an exchange student who, little did I know, had all these insane ideas and intelligent criticisms about AI and Sociology up her sleeve. We literally just spent our time bonding over Taylor Swift music at chatty balls and dinners, but I don't regret that either. Anyway, come learn more about her research + find out some pro academia tips!

We're back with a solo episode after a very consecutive segment of guest ones. I really made space in the current season to talk about my own personal experiences with topics I find to be very pressing and touching. As much as I love having fun conversations with guests, I'd still really like to keep this podcast underscored by the more delicate, unserious, chill girly chats... just me and you. [TW: for those with eating disorders] Today I talk about how societal expectations for the woman's body are unrealistic, ever changing, and thus virtually unattainable. I dissect the irony in female weight and proportion standards and discuss, instead, how to feel comfortable and happy in your own skin. I truly hope this is helpful to someone out there! You're not alone; never, in this community. Love you all.

What is a brave space? "A brave space is a safe space, but with bravery: [that is] being able to have an honest conversation with someone in front of you, without offending them, but also without feeling offended. In a brave space people are encouraged to talk in I sentences instead of we or you." I feel like a aged a million years through this conversation because there's just so much wisdom integrated into it. @sofia._.lanza is one of my friends from university, who I met through the Catholic Students' Union. She is an interfaith dialogue activist, encouraging open-mindedness and acceptance across individuals with different spiritual identities and beliefs. I can't wait to share this episode with you today, and I hope this allows us to foster more brave spaces moving forward.

"I'm 13, and I [still] haven't done anything with my life", @soygiulianna (Juli; now 18) recalls voicing to her mom. Juli, who has always loved singing, highlights the ups and downs of her journey as an artist, and how this intertwines with her pursuit of wellness. This episode, we cover a broad range of topics: from finding purpose and belonging in community (shout out to Morning Club), to setting yourself up for success through routine, to overcoming perfectionism. And despite the title, this episode isn't actually limited to 'creative souls'. If you feel a sense of pressure in your everyday and want to start living life on your own terms, tune in now!

Today I'm joined by one of my best friends, @rada_mihaylova! We really tried to pull it together here (otherwise we'd constantly be laughing like the chaotic mess that we are when we're put in a room together). I thought I'd be generous and share her ever-so-wise advice on living freely and leaning into what fate has in store for you; thanks, Rada, for obliging.

"Who do you want to be? Who do you want to show up as? Who do you want to present yourself as? How do you want to see yourself? Who. are. you? When you consistently visualise you ideal future and align your daily actions with that vision, that's when you're setting the stage for those possibilities to become reality. And the more you do in line with that vision, the more you start to really believe in that future (in yourself), which is what matters most." Tune in to this episode to learn how to make the most of the rest of your year, à la Glow Up Syndrome [includes some guided manifestations and affirmations!]

I've been having a major quarter-life crisis lately (even though I'm only 22). But I thought I'd share my core takeaways from a self-help book I read recently: "The Defining Decade" (Meg Jay). If, like me, you're feeling overwhelmed by all the uncertainty, this could really give you the chance to reflect on where you've come from and where you're going next.

We're back (freshly graduated) to answer the important questions only: What now? How does everyone around me suddenly have a job? What if I'm better suited for a different career path? Is a Masters the new Bachelors? Am I making the right decisions? Will I be happy and successful? Also... Can I still have my hot girl summers?

The mini therapy session you never knew you needed. In this episode, I talk about how to counter any feelings of pressure and anxiety associated with the attainment of goals or with periods of uncertainty. What is meant for you will come to you. Trust in the universe.

'Nuff said. This is your sign to set your standards high. Know you are worth so much more than how a guy treats you. Know you deserve all of the commitment, reciprocal energy, and priority in the world. Know you are worth that kind of love. Tune in for this season's romance episode (it was inevitable). Today, I chat about my latest dating shenanigans, including how I put my foot down with a guy who didn't respect me enough to be with me, and about what I took away from the experience.

Transitioning into a new era of your life (for me, young adulthood) entails redefining who you are, what makes you happy, and what your goals and priorities are. With all of this comes figuring out who you want to surround yourself with and what kind of energy you let into your life. In this episode, I talk about how I'm living the same life but so incredibly differently: I'm back at university in Edinburgh, where I once fell victim to immense amounts of peer pressure, FOMO, comparison, and judgment; I did not have a strong sense of self, nor was I able to properly set up my boundaries. Let's walk through how I overcame all of that, so you can figure out how to build yourself a healthy set of relationships, as is key to living the life of your dreams.

Controversial opinion right now, but... staying dululu is not the sululu when it comes to your finances. I've had some big spends this week which brought me to sharing my thoughts on how I organise my finances as a student, and how I stay within budget despite living a wellness lifestyle. You can be 'that girl' without going broke. Tune in this week to find out how!

Besties, I missed you! I am so glad I was able to section off some time to release an episode, even if it's a little shorter this week. I noticed just how much of a community the Glow Up Gang is blossoming into, in that I definitely found myself craving that little dose of girl time. Episode 13 is more concise than usual, as I delineate the role that both resilience and the growth mindset play in manifesting the life of your dreams. This is your guide to becoming 'that girl', featuring the following: my fresh take on what resilience means and how to implement it in your life + a simple recap of the growth mindset in the context of the podcast's theme ["reframing the law of attraction"].

Welcome BACK Glow Up Gang! Now isn't it so fitting that this podcast is themed around glowing up?? I am so excited to have you guys back on board for Season 2, which follows me on my own tumultuous young adult journey, filled (of course) with multitudes of change. In this episode, I talk about what it means to enter a new era, and how to fully embrace change. Together, we underscore the four facets of change: it is constant, it is gradual, it is empowering, and it is inevitably what makes life worth living. Follow along for the only therapy session you'll ever need (I'm just kidding guys: real therapy is so important and I need it too).
