This week was so heavy surrounding the assasination of Charlie Kirk, the evil responses in the media, the outpouring of love and support from those that were impacted by Charlie and his family and the radical boldness in faith all over the world lifting up the name of Jesus. Grief, anger, loss, sadness, all mixed into seeing the church rise up in faith was emotional to witness.
My heart is so heavy for Erika and her precious little ones. My heart is heavy for our nation. My prayers are constant over this all that Jesus would defeat the enemy and that truth would come to light in all of this chaos.
I shared some quotes from Jim and Elisabeth Elliot (Jim was martyred for his faith) as well as some scripture.
I was cut off at the very end but here's the final verse I shared:
“For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

I find that even though I have a high priority and focus on the Word of God in my daily life, the things of the world, the opinion of others and the distractions of life can grab my attention too easily. I have to fight for my faith, for keeping my eyes on the Lord and for being intentional with my thoughts. Today I'm sharing an example of how quickly just listening to another podcasts of moms talking about motherhood made me question my own mothering until I got my eyes back on the Word of God and onto the Lord. Taken straight from Romans 12, let's read what the Bible says are marks of a true christian.

I've been having different dreams lately that wake me up and speak to the end times, meeting Jesus, biblical heroes and scripture coming to life. I pray the Lord will speak even more through dreams but here are some things lately that have been speaking to me and encouraging my heart.
The terminal analogy from my dream.
John's love of Jesus and his deep knowing of the love of Jesus for him gave him greater authority and faith to speak into the love of God in John 3:16...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Moses' authority and experiences with God gave his greater authority and faith to be able to pray over the people of God from Numbers 6:24-26 in this way:
"The LORD bless you and keep you;the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;the LORD lift up his countenance1 upon you and give you peace."

Here's a follow-up on the HOMESCHOOL Q+A from questions I asked on Instagram or from messages I received. Again, I'm not a typical "homeschool mom" that loves curriculum and planning the days, but I am very passionate as a mother to raise my children to know and love Jesus and to follow the Bible. I hope to encouraged other moms out there that are similar. Maybe you feel inadequate to teach. Me too. But as christian mothers, it's our job and commission from the Lord to disciple our children in the ways of the Lord. And homeschooling is a beautiful way to do that in the everyday things of life.

The prayer of faith heals the sick (James 5:15-16) and faith comes through hearing the word of God ( Romans 10:17) so let’s listen to God’s word and how healing is described as we strengthen our faith being reminded of the truth in God’s word.

But it impacted me so much I now have a similar rope hanging in my home as a reminder to myself and my children how short our life is and how long eternity is.
Our job as mothers is to teach our children, through our own example, how to love the LORD with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Questions I hear a lot are "Should I have kids?", "Should I have more kids?", "How expensive are kids?", "Should I pursue a career or have a family?"
Episode 28: YOU'VE BEEN LIED TO. Kids aren't too expensive + you don't have to lose yourself in motherhood. There is an assault on motherhood, raising a family, staying home with your kids as well as lies about how expensive kids are. But you're being lied to. Episode 27: Intentional Parenting in the Little Years to Raise Healthy Adults.
I think so much of the negative behaviors we see in grownups could have been avoided if they were parented differently as children. We are to train up our children in the ways they should go. Training them means being very intentional, aware, focused, alert, prayerful and full of lots of conversations. We are training them to love Jesus, to walk in His ways, to know God's Word and to be kind humans that can communicate well with others. The way we parent our children has a massive impact on their futures for blessing or for unnecessary pain that could have been avoided if we uprooted the negativity in their childhood.

I had a dream, or actually a nightmare, about my daughter being kidnapped when she was a baby over 17 or 18 years ago. The Lord used the dream to reveal how I am to see the attacks of the enemy spiritually in my fight for the hearts and souls of my children. If we say we are bible-believing christians, then we need to take every word of God seriously and live it out. The Bible talks about the enemy seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8) but it also speaks about the eyes of the Lord looking for those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chron. 16:9). The enemy is after our children but the Lord is too. Let's be women and mothers who fight on our knees in prayer for our children and for future generations to know and walk with Jesus.

As Christian mothers, we are at war for the hearts and souls of our children. And we fight spiritual with spiritual by going after things in prayer, through the Bible, in full faith and belief in God.
We have everything we need to fight in the Word of God.
Practical ways I do this for my family:
Daily prayer walks.
Reading/listening to God’s Word daily.
Reading the Bible to my children.
Talking about the goodness of God to my children daily.
Taping scripture on the walls of our home.
Getting on my knees in prayer over my family alone or with my husband.
Telling them powerful testimonies of others who walk boldly for the Lord.
Going after any place in my heart AND the hearts of my children where there are roots that shouldn’t be there and asking the Lord to uproot them and replace with the seeds of God’s Word.
As Christian mothers, we need to be awake and alert to the tactics of the enemy. We have a responsibility before God to raise our children in a way that honors Him. We will stand before God someday and take an account for what we did with these babies He given us… let the words we hear be “well done, good and faithful servant” instead of a recounting of all the meaningless things we were distracted by that the enemy used to gain access to our children and their hearts.
