The heaviness of this week: Charlie Kirk, the Church and Being Bold

This week was so heavy surrounding the assasination of Charlie Kirk, the evil responses in the media, the outpouring of love and support from those that were impacted by Charlie and his family and the radical boldness in faith all over the world lifting up the name of Jesus. Grief, anger, loss, sadness, all mixed into seeing the church rise up in faith was emotional to witness.

My heart is so heavy for Erika and her precious little ones. My heart is heavy for our nation. My prayers are constant over this all that Jesus would defeat the enemy and that truth would come to light in all of this chaos.

I shared some quotes from Jim and Elisabeth Elliot (Jim was martyred for his faith) as well as some scripture.

I was cut off at the very end but here's the final verse I shared:

“For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
