Pt 1: The Suspicious Death or Phoebe Handsjuk Phoebe Handsjuk was only 24 years old when her lifeless body was found in the basement of the luxury Balencea high rise apartment she lived in with her boyfriend, Antony Hampel. The coroner stated that she was in a “sleep-walking” like state from a mix of alcohol and Ambien when she climbed into the 12th floor garbage chute and plummeted 12 stories to her death. The circumstances surrounding her apparent “misadventure” are nothing short of strange. Was it an attempted suicide or did something more sinister happen? Pt 2: The Grisly Death of Alexandra Ayana Alexandra “Alex” Anaya was 13 and in the 7th grade when she vanished from her family’s Hammond, Indiana home. It would be 3 days later, her decapitated and limbless torso would be spotted floating in a river. Sadly, Alex’s murder remains unsolved to this day. Pt 1: The Latasha Harlins Story 15 year old African American, Latasha Harlins, was shot and killed after being falsely accused of stealing a bottle of orange juice in Los Angeles, California in 1991. Her killer, Korean-born Soon Ja Du, was the convenience store owner of "Empire Liquor Market Deli" and was never imprisoned for the crime, sparking outrage in the US and being one of the reasons behind the LA riots of ‘92. Pt 2: The Horrific Murder of two-year-old, James Bulger And thisssss, our friends, is why we believe in putting kids on leashes… Two year old James Bulger was abducted while with his mother at a shopping mall in the UK in 1993. Turns out, his abductors were actually two 10-year-old boys. You’d think this was best case scenario, right? Not so much. This story takes a horrific turn and will make you second guess EVERYDAMNBODY.

Part 1: In 1954, Dr. Sam Sheppard was awoken by his wife, Marilyn, screaming his name from the upstairs bedroom. When Sam made his way up the stairs to her twin bed, he found her bludgeoned to death by a "bushy-haired white form" looming over her. After his violent encounter with the "form", Sam would be tried for the murder of his wife because, let's be real here, a "bushy-haired white form" doesn't really sound like a real story. After a lengthy trial, Sam would be convicted of 2nd degree murder of his beautiful wife. It wouldn't be until later when new evidence emerged that eventually earned Sam his acquittal. Was Sam telling the truth or did he murder his wife in an attempt to rid her from his life so that he could be with another woman? You tell us! Part 2: When the 20 year old shy, reserved Sophie Lionnet was offered a job as an au pair in London, she was over the moon. This would give her an opportunity to improve her English, travel, and work with children. Little did she know, a true nightmare awaited her.

Pt 1: The Torture and murder of Shanda Sharer Shanda Sharer was just 12 years old when she was savagely tortured, sexually assaulted, and murdered by four teenage girls in early 1992. Their reasoning- Shanda was dating the ringleader of the group’s ex-girlfriend, and she was not happy about it. In this story, what should have been a simple teen lover’s quarrel fueled into something absolutely unspeakable. Pt 2: The Blue-Eyed Butcher: Susan Wright Susan Wright made headlines in 2003 when she stabbed her husband, Jeff, 193 times and claimed self-defense. On this one, we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether Susan was really a battered wife who was at her wits end, or a selfish monster who only wanted her husband’s life insurance policy.

Pt 1: The Matthew Shepard Story Matthew (Matt) Shepard was a 21 year old openly gay student at the University of Wyoming who was bludgeoned, tortured, and left to die tied to a fence near Laramie on the night of October 6, 1998. He passed away in the hospital 6 days later due to his tragic injuries. Matthew’s murderers Russell Henderson and Aaron McKinney reportedly attacked Shepard for no other reason than the fact that he was gay. The nation was outraged and Matthew Shepard quickly became the face for acceptance and equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community. Pt2: Ethan Couch: The Affluenza Teen Ethan Couch was just 16 years old when he drove drunk and killed 4 people. During his trial, a psychologist gave a shocking explanation for why Ethan did what he did… He suffered from “affluenza”, the inability to understand the consequences of his actions because of his economic privilege. Basically, the kid believed himself to be above the law because he was rich… Not only did the ridiculous defense work in his favor, but horrifically, it has over and over again throughout the years.

Pt 1: The Unsolved Murder of the “town bully”, Ken McElroy: McElroy tormented the town of Skidmore, MO, for 20+ years with his bullying and tormenting anyone who would stand up to him. He committed crime after crime, all in all being accused of 21 felonies. The townspeople were sick of McElroy’s horrific ways and two unknown assailants decided they’d put an end to McElroy’s antics once and for all. Pt 2: The Lawson Family Murders: Everyone was perplexed and horrified when Charlie Lawson slaughtered his entire family excluding his son, Arthur, on Christmas day. No one knows the exact reason why he caused such a tragedy, but rumors speculate that and incestuous relationship that created a baby may have been involved.. or it could have been from a traumatic head injury that Charlie sustained a few weeks before the murders. Listen and give us your opinion on the “why” Charlie did what he did!

In part one, Alyssa discusses the Ed Gein case. Gein was a notorious murderer and grave robber in the 1950’s. Under police interrogation, Gein confessed to killing two women. Additionally, he admitted to digging up numerous corpses with the intent of cutting off body parts, practicing necrophilia and crafting masks and suits out of skin to wear around his home. Part two discusses the unsolved murder of fitness instructor and mother of three girls, Missy Bevers. Missy was murdered by an unknown assailant as she set up for an early morning work-out class she taught at a local church. The assailant was clad in police SWAT gear to hide their identity. The entire ordeal was caught on the church’s surveillance video. To this day, multiple suspects have been ruled out and it remains an open case.

Pt 1: In 2001, Arwin Meiwes posted an ad to the website “Cannibal Cafe” looking for a man to volunteer to be slaughtered and then eaten. Surprisingly, he was able to find a willing participant and live out his disturbing cannibalistic fantasy! He now lives the remainder of his life behind bars. Part 2: Gary M. Heidnik was a reclusive, yet intelligent man with an IQ of 148 when he decided he wanted to have "sex slaves" and his own personal "harem". In a year's time span, he abducted 6 women and held them prisoner in a pit that he had dug in his basement where he would torture and rape them in order to produce babies. He was also a projected cannibal. Listen to the episode to decide whether or not you believe the cannibal stories!

Pt 1: Alison Botha was 27 years old when she was kidnapped by a man who called himself “Clinton”. He and a friend, Theuns Kruger, took Alison to a secluded location where they raped, disemboweled, and stabbed her 37 times. It turns out that Clinton was not actually “Clinton”, but Frans de Toit, who was part of the “Ripper Rapists” in South Africa alongside Theuns Kruger. Miraculously, Alison Botha survived this vicious attack and turned her trauma into motivational speaking. She’s regarded as the most inspirational motivational speaker to this day. Pt 2: Middle School best friends Abigail (Abby) Williams and Liberty (Libby) German were murdered while walking along a popular trail in Delphi, Indiana. Their tragic murders are still unsolved to this day. The reward fund for Abby and Libby’s case is now up to $325,000. Chris Benoit, a popular WWE superstar murdered his wife and son, before committing suicide in the summer of 2007. What caused this heinous act committed by this famous father and husband? Was it brain trauma, roid rage? Maybe both? Part two revolves around the shocking murders of a gay couple at “Corpsewood Manor”, in North Georgia. Corpsewood Manor was the ironic name of the dream home the owners had hand-built themselves. What started off as a night of drinking and partying, ended in pure horror as both men were slaughtered by supposed “friends.”
