Natural resources people and stone have their uses while there is a demand. Land scape is a definite history of where we have come from not necessarily a map of where we going.
Changes in the landscape are a representation of the changes in our way of life, the only permeance in either is the awareness of impermanence.
Observing with curiosity the fields and country side we walk in. will invariably lead us to many questions, but, few answers. In this episode, I am looking at the phenomenon of a pond known as the sweat pond. A story told with a very dim memory of, a long forgotten local knowledge. However with a little bit of research sweat huts and sweat ponds it appears have been a feature in Ireland for centuries. stories dismissed as folklore and fairy tales can and do have an element of truth.
