some advice from my car early in the morning

question this idea with me before we continue in the goals we've set for this year. ask yourself if you even desire what you chase.

sitting at davis street talking about how we feel about creative direction, wished i grabbed the beginning of this conversation as well, but you can imagine how that went. creative direction is control over every aspect, only certain people can do that. it's important to know if that's your trajectory, are you going towards that, do you want that? do you want to be excellent at a specific piece of the puzzle or do you want vision over the whole. neither is more important, every role is as important (maybe not true, but humility is key to all of this). are you willing to do your role? are you willing to let someone else take control? you need to understand business as well as have great intuition and creativity if you want to be a creative director. are you directing or managing? can you speak to the business man and the creative? can you communicate your ideas articulately?

i shaved my head to focus on being intentional and then all the girls came to distract me. getting real about my lifelong struggle with girls, and where i'm currently at with relationships. i also talk about how i feel about moving from philly and living in dallas. i hope you take a lot away from this episode.

if you're a creative, you have to brand yourself and your art. there's a way to do it authentically and excellently. let's try to figure it out together. 

there has to be risk. the pressure creates diamonds. i've been given opportunities to do what i used to dream about. it doesn't matter what others think, what matters is what your standards are for yourself. they will be different. cancel culture is a box. we already aren't put on level playing ground, so why live in that bumpy box. wear what you want. i'm meeting people who are coming to me. my whole life i went to others. a dream turned into reality. you have to say yes a million times until you can start saying no. say yes to not going to college. say yes to yourself, if God is in you. you can't be picky when you're not good enough. i want to make a podcast. you attract who you are. don't put a cap on what you can do. daily journal one. be humble. live in authority without arrogance. open your heart to the good, to God.
