First Generation Christians
First Generation with April Sanders
A wonderful discussion with April Lindsey Sanders about her growing up in a Pentecostal church and very active in the band, etc. Then one day in her late teens she decided to take a closer look at what the Bible teach and was convicted to follow that instead of traditions of men. The one who helped to teach her (rather, point out certain verses in the Bible) was her then boyfriend, now husband of 32 years! Take a listen and feel her enthusiasm for the Lord.

First Generation Christians
First Generation with Mark Philip
Mark has a non-religious background which helped his conversion later in life (mid-50s). He was already a successful custom home builder and his wife was a successful realtor. Around 2008 the economy tanked and he started looking elsewhere.  He eventually found his faith and one influence was at a Toastmasters meeting when a person shared briefly their faith. Those two people were put together and the rest is history. Mark shares the struggles of being happily married for 35 years and then coming home with his proclamation of being a Christian. There are challenges with that but Mark did a wonderful job of keeping his marriage together and a warm relationship with his adult children.  This is something that most Christians that “grow up on the pew” fail to consider. This also speaks to the importance of a local church family and the invaluable necessity of attendance for encouragement!

First Generation Christians
First Generation with Keith Stonehart
From rocker to Christian. Keith’s former life includes being in a successful Rock band and what comes from that is the rock-n-roll lifestyle. Eventually he realized this was not good for his life, his marriage was on the rocks, etc. Something had to be done. His brother in law intervened and kindly invited him to a Bible study. Over time Keith obeyed the Gospel and is now preaching in the Birmingham AL area. He credits his wife as a major influence on his faith.

During his college years he took up an greater interest in finding God. This is rather unusual for a Southern California college aged. But Brent had a deep desire to read and understand the Bible better. The providence of God brought him to a wonderful group of Christians.

First Generation Christians
Interview with Christopher Webb
As early as the age of 6 Chris can remember of having a strong desire to do good for others. He knew about the Golden Rule. You will likely enjoy (laugh) at his storytelling of forming an "army" called "the Lords of Destruction" at the age of 12 and what that morphed into (using weapons to enforce the Golden Rule, etc.).  Eventually he moved from Denver to Tampa due to his mom being sick and staying with relatives. His grandmother brought him to church. He was eventually converted and is now preaching in N Alabama. He stresses to anyone that you should simply "read the Scriptures".

First Generation Christians
Interview with Andrea Otwell
Andrea grew up in Hungary in a broken family. She has some Roman Catholic Church teachings in her background but wanted to break the cycle of her early years. She wanted a family of her own and wanted to do that the "right way".  She found herself in the States and met some wonderful Christians (providence anyone??).  She considers herself blessed to meet such wonderful Christians who were kind, loving, patient, and gave her a good example of what it means to be a godly mother and person overall.

First Generation Christians
Interview with Richard Baldwin
Richard had a nominal religious background in the Roman Catholic Church and Episcopalian Church.  As his heart wanted the Scriptures he was given a "prayer book".  He continued looking and found a church that taught the Bible in the phone book! He soon realized that the Bible provides the answers to what it takes to be a good father, husband, employee, etc.
