ESOA Podcast 089 Alexander Bogdanov
Hello friends, Welcome back to the monthly electronic music podcast – ESOA Podcast. Once again, we have a very special guest, in my opinion. He lives in Minsk, Belarus. He is a producer, live act and DJ, and his style is in the dub and dub techno genre. His name is Alexander Bogdanov. He has released several of his own productions on labels such as spcInch, Seven Villas, Hello Strange and Greyscale. I think he is a great artist who enriches today's music landscape with innovation and good musical taste. Once again, I am delighted to welcome Alexander Bogdanov to the ESOA family. Enough said, here is ESOA Podcast 089 by Alexander Bogdanov. Have a wonderful dubi time, forget the madness of current events for a while, until the next edition. Love and Peace. ESOA Podcast 088 DJ ARG
Good evening dear friends of electronic music. My guest today looks back to 1989, when he and his brother created mixtapes in a style mix between rap and acid house, featuring artists such as Bomp the Bass, Adonis, Public Enemy and Ice T. But he was and still is no stranger to punk either. In 1993, everyone in Mainz was talking about Sven Väth and Omen in Frankfurt, which also captivated him and didn't let go until 1997. This led him to sell his beloved moped and buy two Technics players. At some point, he broke away and went in the wrong direction, away from music. Through a later girlfriend, who had two players at home, he returned to music and around 2005 he also began producing himself. However, by 2010 at the latest, he realised that the whole scene was not always honest and that the spirit that the original heroes had paved the way for had been lost. He speaks about what is happening today and now in a way that is not necessarily positive, but rather critical. I must point out here that he has produced a considerable number of productions and releases, especially in the acid genre. And that's why I'm all the more delighted that he has agreed to create a beautiful mix for the ESOA podcast. The whole thing is rather house-like with a tendency towards Chicago, a primordial seed of the house and techno scene. Look forward to this beautiful mix, ESOA Podcast 088 by DJ ARG or A.R.G.! ESOA Podcast 087 Scott Vilbert
Good afternoon and welcome back to the monthly edition of the ESOA podcast. And today, here and as always, for all friends of subculture. For the 87th edition, we have another long-time pioneer of the electronic music scene, who has been behind the turntables for at least 28 years now. Not only that, he is also the operator of two legendary clubs. One is Shootclub and the other is Ponit Zero. Over the years, he has also played at several other clubs as well as festivals such as Sonne Mond Sterne and Summer Spirit. He has always filled the dance floors with good techno and good vibes. I'm happy to say here's to the next 28 years! Friends, here is ESOA Podcast 087 by Scott Vilbert. Have fun listening. ESOA Podcast 086 Cancelore
And here we go again, welcome to a new month and a new ESOA podcast. And no less musical quality. My guest today writes that in his youth he rummaged through his father's jazz and bossa nova record collection or drew inspiration from his mother, who came with Harry Belafonte. As he got older, however, he became more interested in funk, hip-hop and punk'n'roll, so his love of music covers a pretty wide range. And then came Homework, which marked a turning point towards house and techno. Fun fact: Homework was also the first record I ever bought. He started producing himself and eventually got into DJing. His love of music is still unbroken today, and his sets currently contain a touch of jazz and a lot of house music. For us, he has prepared a beautiful technoid set somewhere between Detroit and Berlin. Friends, here is ESOA Podcast 86 by Cancelore. Once again, enjoy listening, liking and sharing. Have a great time. Cheers #techno #house #detroit #berlin #truespirit Intro Track: Surgeon - Fall More Infos about A dreams A: www.soundcloud.com/cancelore www.cancelore.bandcamp.com https://www.instagram.com/cancelore/ https://www.facebook.com/cancelore/ Listen to all ESOA Podcast Shows: www.esoa-podcast.com www.facebook.com/esoapodcast www.instagram.com/esoa.podcast

ESOA Podcast 085 A dreams A
Hi guys in a seemingly sick world, it's always good to think of better times, whether it's the future or the past, so Welcome to another Peaceful Edition of the ESOA Podcast. With regard to today's guest, I choose the past and focus here on the nineties, a time when the world was filled with a good deal more respect. It was during this time, a good 30 years ago, that A dreams A, that's Diana and Kai, started producing. A very unique, extremely acid-heavy and, in my opinion, formative sound. I discovered them on a ‘Stunde Null’ episode on Radio NRJ. I was immediately blown away by their sound. And the nice thing is that they are still active. They have countless releases today. So I'm delighted to be able to share this sound with you today. A live performance, recorded at the UWE Festival, as part of the European City of Culture Chemnitz. They don't have to prove anything, because what you've always heard is innovatively produced down to the last detail and made with a lot of love for music. Look forward to what's coming, here is ESOA Podcast 085 from A dreams A. I say thank you. Peace and freedom for ALL on this planet. Servus and Hello, and a warm welcome to another fantastic edition of my small and fine ESOA podcast. I'm always happy when younger artists play on vinyl, even today. One of them is my guest today and I've been looking forward to it for a while. So I'm all the more pleased that she accepted my invitation straight away. The good lady's name is Dona Volkova, she lives in Prague and you can meet her here from time to time during the day at Gram Records, a record shop in Prague. Her sets are minimalist and dubby, definitely classic, so I think they're perfect for spring and the coming summer. ESOA Podcast 082 Pro Techno Team
Hello Dear Friends of Contemporary electronic Music, Once again I say hello and welcome to the ESOA podcast. It was sometime in the Summer of 1997 when I was holding a flyer in one Hand and the Phone in the other - luckily for us, Smartphones didn't exist back then, so it was a nice and simple but well-functioning world - when a voice called out ‘This is Ralph’, the co-organiser of the first planned Future Parade in Chemnitz. Better known to many as DJ Saxxon and as the organiser of legendary events such as Acid Inferno, Hakke Inferno or Earquake. He has also been a guest here in the podcast with the number 44. We arranged to meet at a small art fair and festival that was taking place that day. I was allowed to spin a few records and it quickly became clear that we were somehow aiming in the same musical direction, somewhere in the techno and acid area. At the time, we both focussed on names like Robert Armani or Misjah in our sets. We both played at the aforementioned Future Parade and in the near future we met up in the rehearsal room for afternoons together at the legendary Kunstfabrik Glösa in Chemnitz As a result, we were often part of the DJ team in Clubs such as Achtermai, Brixen, Triebwerk and Seilfabrik between 1998 and 2005 under the name Pro Techno Team. The nice thing is that we never let the sometimes adverse conditions in terms of miserable technology spoil our mood. We both still enjoy DJing today and who knows, maybe one day in the near future we'll get back to those old days together and enjoy all the Juhuu yells from back then. Enough of the words, here is ESOA Podcast number 082 with the Pro Techno Team for 4 hours. Have fun and Switch all up ! to the Future of good Original Techno Music. ESOA Podcast 080 M.R.K.R
Hello friends of classical electronic music, welcome to ESOA podcast number 80 this month, with M.R.K.R. as our guest. M.R.K.R. began his musical journey in the Amiga mod scene, where he adopted his Artist name, which later evolved into its current form. He had his first gigs at Zoom, a central venue of the Chemnitz techno scene, where he came into contact with Saxxon, which led to gigs at the Kunstfabrik. He joined the group 36dx and performed at illegal parties until he finally ended up at the renowned club Achtermai. At Achtermai, M.R.K.R. worked on projects such as the K.I. project. However, he decided to perform solo again. This allowed him to fulfil his desire to follow his own creative path. After a long creative break, he returned to the electronic music scene in 2023 with the release of Acid Inferno 2k23. Remastered tracks from 1999 and three new releases followed in 2024. Further projects are already planned for 2025. His clear goal: to make music that leaves a mark without submitting to the compromises of a ‘brand’. His roots in the Chemnitz scene, especially the club culture of the 90s, have left a lasting impression on him and are reflected in his work. Friends, enjoy ESOA podcast number 80 exclusively from M.R.K.R.. For me, this is an all-encompassing reason to present him here today with an exclusive set for you. Let the Music Speak, are his words then. Here is ESOA podcast number 077 by Von Götz. ESOA Podcast 076 Clemens Acidus
Friends, welcome to the next edition of the ESOA Podcast. With my guest today, the name definitely says it all, especially when it comes to his musical contribution to us. But this should not be seen as a monologue, because his roots and his spectrum are definitely wider and more broadly structured. His roots are located somewhere in the area of Depeche Mode and Anne Clark. As far as his own work is concerned, it can't be pigeonholed. On the surface you might think he's all about techno, acid, electronica or drum & bass, but in depth he experiments with software or hardware in both the old school and the future. From danceable hard, industrial to playful electro and ambient. He is a Musician, Producer, Liveact and DJ. Comes also from Dresden like my Guest before. Fortunately, he fulfils my wish with a classic acid set for us here. Friends, look forward to the next two hours of the finest acid sound. Here is ESOA Podcast 076 by Clemens Acidus. ESOA Podcast 075 Clark B
Guys, welcome back here on ESOA Podcast. My guest this week lives in Dresden, is a DJ, is a producer and for me is clearly behind the legendary club ‘Strasse E’ to which even DJ Rush dedicated his own track at some point. So my guest today is Clark B. He started out in the early 90s as DJ X somewhere in the hardcore and gabba scene, but later changed his mind and discovered trance and techno for himself. At the end of the 90s, he came to house music, a clear change in musical style at the latest. As a result, he specialised somewhere around house and techno and changed his name from then on to ‘Clark B’, which he still uses today. Some people, like me, remember events at the legendary Club Strasse E with names like Claude Young, Alan Oldham or DJ Rush. Clark B was behind all of these from 1999 to 2004. He has remained true to the sound to this day and was therefore prepared to record an exclusive and classic mix for us here: Friends here is ESOA Podcast 075 by Clark B. Have a great time. ESOA Podcast 072 Thomas Schubert Chicago Special
Welcome back guys, here on ESOA Podcast. Unfortunately, once again my guest for this episode cancelled just before the end. This immediately inspired me to record a musical special for you. I decided on a Chicago House and Techno special. Alongside Detroit, Chicago is clearly an important cornerstone. Without it, techno and house would not exist in their current form. Think about the impact that tracks like Move your Body or Acid Tracks still have today. Frankie Knuckles began playing early electronic productions back in 1977 in the then newly opened, rather run-down but well-equipped Warehouse club. A sound that continued to develop into later house and techno, with great, unforgotten names such as Marshall Jefferson, Larry Heard, Adonis, Tyree Cooper, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley, DJ Pierre, Phuture, Mike Dunn, K-Alexi Bad Boy Bill, "Fast" Eddie Smith, Ron Hardy and Derrick Carter made history. The sound was released on labels such as DJ International, Dance Mania, Jack Trax, Underground Records and Trax Records. Friends, let this sound inspire you for the next two and a half hours. Have fun with ESOA Podcast 072 by myself, Thomas Schubert. Thanks for tuning in. ESOA Podcast 071 Michi L
My dears, I am delighted to welcome you once again to my small but excellent ESOA Podcast. It continues as usual, today with a local matador from the Franconian region and also co-organiser of the legendary party series in Bamberg "Rauschkollektiv", Michi L. A DJ with a great love for euphoric and danceable techno. When people stand on the dance floor with their eyes closed and their hands raised energetically in the fog and flashing lights, he says, he is happy too. A likeable person who you are very welcome to talk to on the evenings of his "Rauschkollektiv" events, currently regularly at Bamberg's "Live Club". I am very happy and hopefully all of you out there are too, here is ESOA Podcast number 071 by Michi L. Have a Great Time. ESOA Podcast 070 Geroyche
Hello Guys and welcome to the 70th episode of The ESOA Podcast Project. Every time it's like a grab bag, you never know what's inside and what to expect. For all those who wanted to sit back and relax and enjoy the following set, let me tell you right now, you can forget it. You can expect no less than 79 tracks in the next 138 minutes. With great anticipation on my part, the time has finally come today and I am able to present you with "Geroyche", an artist who I think is very special. His sound spectrum is somewhere between dubstep, trap, juke and autonomous D&B. His own productions are dark, experimental and broken. With his first attempts since 1991, he has been an integral part of the electronic underground scene since 1996 at the latest. These days he is also co-organiser of Kode Dubstep and Urban Future. Friends, get ready for an exciting musical journey, here is ESOA podcast number 070 by Geroyche. Once you've got through that, just listen to it again.
