News outlets like the Daily Star have questioned how participants' ages will be verified. While a spokesperson for Blue's team claimed there would be ID checks and "systems" to prevent fake IDs, the nature of these safeguards remains unclear.
Facing public pressure, universities and city councils have had to respond. Some universities and venues declined to comment, while Newcastle City Council allegedly banned Blue from all bars in the city, according to a claim by Blue herself. In Glasgow, she was forced to move her initial event from Dundee due to outrage and was later spotted near the University of Glasgow.
This is not the first time Blue has targeted students during Freshers' Week. She previously gained notoriety for claiming to have slept with over 1,000 men in 12 hours in January 2025, which led to her being banned from OnlyFans. She has since moved to alternative platforms like Fansly.
The controversies surrounding Blue have been heavily covered by the media, including a Channel 4 documentary called 1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story. Many critics argue that her actions normalize harmful sexual attitudes, though some commentators have noted her skill in monetizing online outrage.
The tour has also prompted public reactions from Blue's own family. Her mother, Lesley Allwight, told the Daily Star that she found the activity "absolutely awful" and felt terrified for students.
