Cultivating Calm Within: Personal Development Series
Can You Give Them Amnesty?

In this episode, author and narrator, Linda J Wolff, shares a personal poem she wrote about forgiveness, cleansing, healing, personal development.

She shares her story about her relationship with her soul mate and life partner how to work through doubts and fears together. How she uses her feminine energy and understanding to help him understand himself and what he is feeling.

• Can You Give Them Amnesty? •

Forgiveness is like the hypnotic

dance of raindrops.

Each one has a sound of its own—

each one weight-bearing of how it falls.

The descent of water—release

and pardon those who have

caused you suffering. Cleanse—soften

the innermost pieces of hate,

jealousy, and racism.

Let it rain. Let me dance. Let me release.

My mind is cleansed, and my soul is free.

The rain has stopped, the sun shines through,

and I emerge like light, free and transcendent.

Cultivating Calm Within: Love is Defiant and Strong

In this episode, Linda J Wolff shares a poem, "Love is Defiant and Strong," she speaks about how to ask yourself: at what point does the resistance stop? 😊
When you say to yourself, I'm going to give it to God; I'm going to release this weight of trauma. Release it so much that you feel an energy growing inside you that ignites a powerful resilience to pain.🔥
You help yourself learn to transition and transcend into a happier, fulfilling life. At what point are you "willing" to stop fighting doubt, fear, or trauma and learn to live through it? ❤️

Cultivating Calm Within: Holding Space and the Empty Glass

In this episode of Holding Space and the Empty Glass, I will share a reference or theory I use when I am in an emotional quandary. Also, this is in reference to our people and others.

Let’s look at holding space as an empty glass for an instance.

I have a crystal clear acrylic glass, it’s tall and with a bubble pattern design. It can hold approximately sixteen fluid ounces of liquid. I preferably fill with water for hydration. But, today it is empty.

It’s hard to hold space and keep your mind filled with clarity and purpose. This morning was a perfect example; let me share a small story about my fifteen and half year old daughter and myself conversation.

Cultivating Calm Within: The Five Love Languages Explained; the Knowledge

In this episode of Five Love Languages Explained, the Knowledge, sometimes one may wish they could start life all over again and be equipped with the knowledge of the perfect starting point for love and how to express it to the other person.

Learning the Love Languages

Experts show that knowing your love languages as parents, that we can teach our children how to learn meaningful ways of expressing love to others. The world is missing this, we can see what type o f language being passed on by viewing the media on television or our technology devices.

If I were give a percentage of what I see on the news every morning or evening. I would say it could be a ratio of 80/20. Eighty percent hate and violence. Read the negativity on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and others. I could be wrong in my ratios. Watch the news for an hour, and I can feel my amazing mood diminish . I feel sadness and anger. I don’t want to see or feel this.

The five love languages, as described by author Gary Chapman, are Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch. These are different ways that people prefer to give and receive love.

What are the Five Love Languages

1. Words of Affirmation

Words of Affirmation is one of the five love languages. It refers to expressing love and appreciation through verbal compliments, encouragement, and kind words. People with this love language value hearing affirming and positive words from their loved ones.

2. Acts of Service

Acts of Service is one of the five love languages. It involves expressing love through helpful actions and acts of service. People with this love language appreciate when their partner or loved ones go out of their way to do things for them, such as cooking a meal, running errands, or completing tasks to make their life easier.

3. Receiving Gifts

Receiving Gifts is one of the five love languages. It refers to feeling loved and appreciated through the act of receiving tangible gifts. People with this love language value thoughtful and meaningful presents that show that their loved ones were thinking of them. It’s not about the monetary value, but rather the thought and effort behind the gift.

4. Quality Time Spent

Quality Time is one of the five love languages. It involves feeling loved and appreciated through spending meaningful and undivided attention with your loved ones. People with this love language value spending quality time together, engaging in activities, having deep conversations, and creating shared experiences. It’s about being present and fully focused on each other.

5. Physical Touch

Physical Touch is one of the five love languages. It involves feeling loved and appreciated through physical contact, such as hugs, kisses, holding hands, or cuddling. People with this love language value physical touch as a way to connect and feel close to their loved ones. It’s about the power of physical presence and affection.

Cultivating Calm Within: What is the Innate Object of Awareness?

In, What is the Innate Object of Awareness? How long does it take a person to notice? It doesn’t matter what color of choice or the size it is, it’s not like the elephant in the room. Who makes it noticeable?

First, what the hell does (innate) have to do with anything? Oh, but, it does.

Cambridge Dictionary Definition: (of a quality) which you are born with, or which is present naturally: Her writing expresses the innate beauty of the human spirit.

It was an intriguing theory to test, to see if anyone in my family would notice it, or, for that matter, even acknowledge it. With a refreshing aesthetic of green in the bay window, with small sprig starters encapsulated in crystal and water. The start to a new life, a new root system.

It was a pleasure to test.

Could roots of a past bring on a new life form by the smallest of actions?

The most appropriate time to raise consciousness is me getting in my car and driving to the place that can drowns anxiety, a place where I can smell salt in the air. The place that draws the shoreline to my toes and an ocean waves whisper a lullaby or sometimes crashes upon one’s overthinking mind.

If anyone knows that you are frustrated, they’ll walk away, and soon pretending is the answer to everything. So sometimes, you do things like taking a dying plant, cut the greenest part of its existence. Put three pieces into separate crystal vases filled with distilled water. Just so you can imagine when you cut away the past. And with that maybe the present will form a new lifeline.

Cultivating Calm Within: Embody Mindfulness Presence

In, Embody Mindfulness Presence: Them or You? We’ve been programmed since we drew upon our first breath to model behaviors from others and for others. Our parents for instance, other family members. Include teachers, outside influences too. Whether we know this or not.

Parents. Embody Mindful Presence.

A sad thought for me. Children who are brought up in an environment of chaos, parents, grandparents, and so on, and so on. A lineage of hate, abuse, human trafficking, cruelty, drugs, and alcohol abuse. I look at the violence happening at this very moment, and it’s history repeating itself over and over.

A happy thought for me. My daughter walks into my office this morning to say the most sweetest words, the moment she’s finished dressing, making her bed, eating her breakfast. Also, finishing up on household chores that are a responsibility as a person who lives under the same roof as well as myself and my sweetheart.

Cultivating Calm Within: Time is Everything. Discover You 365

In todays episode, Discover You 365 Series #2: Time is Everything. Timing holds the key to your inner peace. I couldn't understand what inner peace meant to me twenty years ago. Let me explain why...

...

Understanding Timing is Everything

Timing holds the key to your inner peace and discovering more about yourself that you cannot be aware of. This was a hard concept for me to grasp right off. You might be questioning yourself about this. Twenty years ago, my mindset and spirit were not aligned.

My husband at that point of time was dying of Multiple Myeloma Stage Two bone cancer, add word dying when it correlates with the word terminal and raising my adopted daughter of five years-old. With these challenges, I also ran my husband's asphalt paving business.

How can you even grasp the concept of inner peace when your mind, body, and soul is at war. The thing is I couldn't. Because there was no peace at that time. The strains of the heavy burden I was carrying was immeasurable. I'm pretty sure you can relate this state of a chaotic environment.

Holding it together took every bit of my energy to be in many different places at one time.

Sometimes though, I drank, just so I could cope and be able to sleep. I think about that now and I don't guilt-trip myself now for falling on the drin

How could it be, when I think back as to what was going on in my life at that time. I can reason with it. Understanding where you are at in the timing.

...

Timing is everything and the discovering parts about myself.

A lot of people will mentally beat themselves up for this. I don't. These experiences I'm grateful for, why, because it opened me up to discovering parts of myself I never knew at the time. Something, I found is I have this amazing energy of resilience. I didn't quit when the timing challenged me for six years, it was time to go deep for that strength and hold on to it so tight.

Relied on my power in prayers and my inner strength. I didn't quit or run away. There was a time, I had to step away and leave my husband. It was when his mental state of mind became violently abusive to myself and my five year old. That was the hardest decision to make. Yet, when physical and mental abuse falls upon your beautiful daughter. There's some major decision making to do. That's when I asked help from his family. They had separated themselves from his illness. I never felt to alone in this journey.

...

Thinking forward to now, I'm grateful. Those human experiences keep me humble and appreciative.

I'm sharing this reality with you because I have learned so much in this day-to-day journey, and I want to share my step-by-step progress in staying on point with your path. Something about discovering you 365 days series.

I want to help your find those beautiful pieces of you imperfectly perfect and how to recognize there's a profound peace and harmony when your mind, body, and spirit align in conjunction with your life.

Self-acceptance is pivotal piece of my lifestyle, centering and focusing on the positive environment inside of my spirit and the impact of my value system on the world and those who align and support with my energy.
