Last sermon we looked at Christ's kingdom of grace in the hearts of his people, and here Flavel shows us the kingdom of providence over all creation. Jesus isn't just the King of Zion, he is also the King of kings, and Lord of lords. He rules all things by his sovereign dominion and wisdom. Flavel shows us what this means, and applies it to our hearts that we might bow the knee, and not grumble over our circumstances—for they are all working for our good, and for God's glory.
