Of the Second Part of Christ's Prophetical Office - TFOL #10

This morning's devotional is from "The Fountain of Life" by John Flavel as we look at the 10th sermon based on Luke 24:45 "Then He opened their understandings, that they might understand the Scriptures". Last sermon Flavel shows us the external work of Christ as Prophet through the Word, and here he shows us the internal work of Christ as Prophet through the Spirit. The Word can get in our ears, but only the sovereign grace of the Spirit can get it in our hearts. Oh that we might praise God for opening our minds, and give him the glory for the great saving work He has done for us. Enjoy!
