Sometimes, you're so caught up with the highs in your life that certain situations just catch you by surprise. It's moments like that when life really humbles you and makes you stop and sit down for a bit.
This week was one of those moments for me but it's also not something that I will allow to overtake my life. So, this episode is about embracing both the highs and lows as they come and giving each one the right amount of attention it deserves. Don't let the world or your situation define who you are.
A little sneak peek into my story and what it was like settling and adapting to a new country around the pandemic. Honestly, there are so many hurdles that immigrants have to go through, and getting through the first few months is an absolute challenge. So, this first episode taps into some of that and the consequences of what we do and don't do as kids.
Tell me your stories as immigrants and how you found it adjusting to a new lifestyle wherever life took you.
These past few months have really pushed me to start doing things for myself. This first episode is all about what it's like to live for yourself.
We don't realize but we spend so much of our life doing things for ourselves. Things that no one else can do for us and to do that, we have to be content with our lives. I obviously haven't gotten there yet myself but making a start is important.
I hope that at least one person who listens to this episode can resonate with some of what I'm talking about. And if you do, please let me know so I don't feel like a fool haha.
We're all figuring things out folks - there's no winners or losers. So, it will all be okay. Lots of love xxx
