The Beat Burnout Guide Podcast aims to inform, educate, support, and inspire individuals, teams, and organizations. Our focus is on helping listeners better understand themselves, manage their energy, develop healthier habits, reduce the risk of burnout, recover from burnout, and enhance their performance both at work and in life.
Our podcast content comes from some of the world’s best academic and science-backed research out there on burnout, human performance, personal and workplace environments, and mental health and wellness. And instead of vague recommendations, that are so often found in the thousands of articles on burnout, we provide real practical advice on what to do, as well as case studies and real stories on what has worked for others. We plan to provide long and short-form podcasts, as well as some different guided meditations and therapies, to support our listeners and their energy management journey.
Have you heard the saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? In this Beat Burnout Guide Podcast episode, presented by Bloktid, we discuss the upstream preventative approach to beating burnout, by intentionally managing your energy, like elite athletes do. The focus here is about getting ahead of burnout, using key concepts from three sources focusing on energy management and achieving optimal performance in life. The central theme is that effectively managing energy, not just time, across multiple dimensions (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) is crucial for sustained high performance and overall well-being. The sources emphasize the need for a cyclical approach, alternating between periods of full engagement and deliberate renewal. They also explore how to identify personal values, build positive rituals, and overcome self-deceptive behaviors that hinder growth.
