As a JRPG fan, naka wire na sa ulo ko na pag maglalaro ka ng ganitong genre, asahan mong andito pa din ang mga tropes na makikita mo sa isang JRPG: Teenage protagonist, save lost kitty then kill a god, warm and fuzzy ending (paminsan), atbp. Ngunit di ko inaasahan na may mag susubvert ulit ng expectations ko, especially not too long ago, nag laro ako ng Sea of Stars na isa ding JRPG na super nagandahan din ako.
Characters na swak sa edad mo? check! Compelling storyline na sobrang kakaiba? check? Unique Turn-Based Mechanics? CHECK! More than that, a story that also sparks debates, multiple discussions and a plethora of different takes sa thema ng laro. Iba't ibang interpretations sa meaning ng "Clair Obscur". As someone who teaches art, the mere fact na iba iba ang interpretation at reaction natin sa mismong game na to makes this game a TRUE MASTERPIECE, pwedeng ibilang sa pantheon ng mga magnum opus na mula nung sinauna pa lang pinag-didiskusyunan na hanggang ngayon.
