In this episode, we play host to Derek Osonwa, professionally known as Dekumzy, a Nigerian record producer, musician, composer, pianist, and songwriter. One of the pioneers of what became the genesis of the music industry in southeast, Nigeria. From Enugwu, Dekumzy went on to produce hits like "Baby Oku" by Flavour N'abania, "Strong and Mighty" by Mr Raw featuring Flavour N'abania, "Carolina Remix" by Dr Alban featuring Charly Boy, "No Time" by Bracket featuring P-Square, "Yori Yori Remix" by Bracket ft 2Baba. He also produced and was the brain behind the Desperate Chicks, a popular all female music group and so many other accomplishments.

On this episode of Exploring the Southeast Creative Industry, Ama Egwu hosts a special guest - STORMREX, an Afro-fusion/dance hall Igbo songwriter and artist. Stormrex started her music career with a group called the “Desperate Chicks" in 2007.
In her early days, she had collaborated with artists such as Flavour, Phyno, Olamide, Timaya, illbliss etc. Singing mainly in the Igbo dialect, Stormrex has a unique voice that resonates desirably with the music she creates. In 2016 she moved to California in United States where she continues to make music, that is a pure delight to her audience both at home and abroad.
