    Belly Dance Life
    Iana Komarnytska
Shahdana is an international belly dancer from Argentina whose artistic journey began not with dance, but with music—studying piano and musical composition for nearly two decades, including performing in a tango orchestra. Her deep connection to music later found a new expression in belly dance, where Arabic rhythms became her primary focus. But it was a moment of emotional clarity—dancing to Piazzolla’s tango and breaking into tears—that reminded her to honor her roots. That decision to merge tango with belly dance not only defined her unique style but opened international doors, beginning with her first overseas performance in Korea. Today, Shahdana is celebrated for her emotional depth, musicality, and distinctive fusion of tango and belly dance, teaching and performing around the world.

    Escape - radio show OTR
    Escape Radio
Dive into the thrilling world of vintage audio drama with the "Escape Radio Show" podcast, your premier destination for experiencing the legendary tales from the golden age of radio. Each episode of our podcast is a doorway to adventure, mystery, and suspense as we bring you the original "Escape" old-time radio show broadcasts."Escape" is a radio drama series that aired on CBS from 1947 to 1954, making it one of the most memorable programs from the golden age of radio. Renowned for its emphasis on high-adventure, suspense, and mystery, the show captured the imaginations of its listeners, offering an escape (hence the name) from the everyday through tales of adventure and peril.

The series stood out for its excellent writing, top-notch production values, and the use of robust sound effects that vividly brought its stories to life. Unlike many of its contemporaries, "Escape" did not have a regular host or narrator. Instead, each episode plunged directly into the story, with only the announcer providing brief introductions and closings, which usually included the memorable lines: "Tired of the everyday routine? Ever dream of a life of romantic adventure? Want to get away from it all? We offer you... Escape!""Escape" drew from a wide range of sources for its stories, adapting works from famous authors such as Rudyard Kipling, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and H. G. Wells, among others. The show also produced original scripts that have since become classic examples of radio storytelling. Episodes varied in setting and time period, featuring everything from deep jungle expeditions and high-seas adventures to stories of survival in the desert and tales of intrigue in exotic locales.

The show's ability to transport listeners to another time and place, combined with compelling storytelling and high production standards, made "Escape" a beloved series during its original run and a favorite among old-time radio enthusiasts to this day. Episodes like "Three Skeleton Key," "The Fall of the House of Usher," and "The Most Dangerous Game" are often cited as some of the most memorable and effective examples of radio drama.

Subscribe to the "Escape Radio Show" podcast and let your imagination run wild.

    The Belly Dance Geek Clubhouse
    Belly Dance Geek
The Clubhouse is a show where dancers can get together and geek out on all the things that are hard to get in classes and videos. If you want help with the "what": moves, combos, and choreographies, there are lots of classes and videos available. But if you want to learn about the "why" and "how": business, composition, ethics, culture, musicality... well, those are a lot harder to find. So in every episode, I interview a different guest expert on a different geeky topic. If you think knowledge & creativity go together like chocolate & peanut butter - you're in the right place!
