If you haven’t heard of mini-habits, you’re in for a treat. Imagine making only small adjustments in your life, and still managing to create impactful and meaningful change.

The mini-habit is just what it sounds like – it’s taking the premise that doing a whole lot of small things will eventually add up to something amazing. Before you know it, you’d have accomplished the goal of becoming more informed, and would be better able to handle discussions about current events.

Mini-habits don’t stop there though. Not only can your mini-habit change how you get things done, but they impact your mind and body as well. Read on to discover the powerful benefits of Mini-habits.

10 Causes of Low Self-Esteem

Do you suffer from low self-esteem and wonder about the source of your feelings of inadequacy? There are many potential sources of low self-esteem. It has been said that we spend the last 60 years of life recovering from the first 18. In many cases, the first 18 years of life give our self-esteem a beating. Adults aren’t immune from self-esteem issues either. Increasing your self-esteem will enrich your life in countless ways. Your social life, finances and happiness can all grow.

Determine the cause of your self-esteem challenges:

1.Peers. This is especially true during the school-age years but can apply to

adults as well. It’s natural to want to be respected and liked by one’s peers.

Bullying, teasing, and other social-related issues can result in a loss of

self-esteem.

2. Family. Some parents aren’t friendly people. Unsupportive, critical parents or

other family members can harm a child’s self-esteem. This can be then be

carried into adulthood. If your parents were less than spectacular, remember

that you’re not alone.

3.Previous mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, but some people forgive

themselves more quickly than others. The past is over. Look forward to new

experiences.

4.Negative recurring thoughts. Negative thought patterns over the years and

1decades can create a negative self-image. That’s why it’s so important to say

positive things to yourself. Avoid underestimating the power of your thoughts.

5. Failure. Whether you failed to win the big game or land the big client, any

perceived failure can result in a loss of confidence and self-esteem. Reframe

how you view failure. Learn from your undesirable results. Only get upset with

yourself if you continue to fail in the same manner. Change your approach if it

isn’t working.

4 Steps to Increase Your Leadership

When most of us hear the word leadership, we usually think of political officials, CEOs, military commanders, or even athletes. While it's true that you need good leadership skills to excel at these occupations, leadership is a valuable skill that everyone from any vocation or background can use it for their benefit and the benefit of others. Effective leadership doesn't come naturally for most of us. Luckily, there are several

methods that you can use to build and refine your leadership skills.

Discover the leader in you! Try these techniques to boost your leadership skills:

1. Strive for excellence. Part of being a successful leader is your ability to set the bar for others. You can be a good role model by constantly seeking ways to improve yourself and aspire to excellence. A hallmark of leadership is excellence. Work on honing your existing skills

and developing new ones.

2. Focus on your vision and set goals. Consider what you want to accomplish in different areas of your life. Set goals that will help you to achieve your dream. Set goals where you can periodically measure your performance and progress. Break up larger goals into smaller ones so that you can celebrate your successes and maintain your motivation. Learn to identify and use all of your resources in the pursuit of your goals. When making plans to reach your destination, always work with the resources you have in your current circumstances rather than developing plans

based on resources and events that you wish were real. Be willing to refine your plans and ultimate goals based on your progress as well as your dreams...

Natural Methods that BOOST your Immune System

You depend on your immune system to fight off foreign substances that could make you sick and help you recover if any of them slip through. A healthy lifestyle strengthens your body's defense network, so you catch fewer colds and reduce your risk for many severe health conditions. Try these natural methods to boost your immune

system and enjoy better health.

Foods and Eating Habits That Strengthen Your Immune System

1. Fill up half your plate with fruits and vegetables. Antioxidants are what superfoods are all about because they help prevent and repair cell damage. Eating a

variety of colorful fruits and vegetables is the best way to meet your

requirements for essential nutrients like beta-carotene, vitamin C, and vitamin E.

2. Get enough zinc and selenium. Two other vital antioxidants are zinc and

selenium. Good zinc sources include seafood, beans, red meat, poultry,

whole grains, nuts, and dairy products. Selenium is also found in many foods like

beef, poultry, tuna, and whole grains.

3.Watch your calories. Studies show that being overweight can depress your

immune system. Excess fat cells are linked to chronic inflammation and

decreased production of antibodies. Maintaining a healthy body weight can help

fend off diabetes, heart disease, and other threats.

4. Limit sugars and fats. Diets high in sugar and saturated fats make your white

blood cells less effective in guarding you against bacteria. Stick to sensible

1portions of healthy fats like olive oil and cut back on the soft drinks.

Other Constructive Lifestyle Changes

1.Reduce stress. Chronic stress bombards your body with hormones like cortisol and

adrenaline that interfere with your immune system. Find relaxation techniques

that work for you, like meditation or massage.

2. Get adequate sleep and rest. Most adults need seven to eight hours of sleep

each night to keep their immune functions in top shape. As much as possible, go

to bed and get up at the same time every day.

3.Indulge in healthy pleasures. During exercise and enjoyable activities, your brain

releases chemicals that reinforce good feelings and help trigger the production of

IGA proteins boost your natural defenses.

4.Cultivate friendships. Social connections are essential to our physical health.

Companies' quality is more important than quantity, so focus on

whatever arrangements make you feel loved.

Copy these 5 Common Skills from TOP Leaders

Do you struggle with communicating effectively? Communication is a crucial part of

success at work or in other aspects of your life. Top leaders have practiced and

mastered the skills that enable them to communicate so well. Luckily, you too can

learn these same skills!

Follow these strategies to practice essential communication skills:

1. Learn to listen. Top leaders know that listening is a crucial part of

communication. Learn to love listening and engage in the stories of others.

Try to really pay attention during a conversation instead of being

distracted by your phone or other devices. Have one conversation at a time

to give each person your full attention. Practice retelling the person’s story in your mind to get better at listening. Everyone wants to be heard. Others will notice that you’re listening to them and will go away from your conversations thinking what a great

communicator you are when all you did was listen.

2. Avoid slang and informalities. It’s normal to use slang or other types of

informal language while talking to friends or family. However, the business usually

requires a more formal language set. Pay attention to whom you’re talking to and

make the necessary adjustments.

Slang, acronyms, and informalities can also make some people feel

uncomfortable, especially if they’re not familiar with them.

3. Focus on being brief. Top leaders know that you don’t have to make a long

speech to be effective.

1Practice being brief and getting your point across with fewer words and

less time. People appreciate short conversations and respect others who

don’t go off on tangents.

However, ensure you’re still providing enough information while you talk.

You don’t want to be vague or miss important details.

This skill may take time to develop, so practice it often. The next time you

have a conversation, try to get your point across with less talking. Try to

summarize the essential parts and only focus on them while you talk.
