Today I'm joined by Maximilian Bartel - a dear friend of mine. This conversation revolves around some of our favourite topics and much of our own, especially Maxi's experience in regard to spirituality, men's work and friendship. WHO IS MAXI? A seeker, musician, podcaster, online marketer, son, twin, friend, guide – just a few words to describe him as a person. One of his passions in this life is creating safe and sacred containers for people to express themselves from the heart. There's many of those spaces - from his interview podcast "going out | looking in" to his work with men to writing and sharing his music and art. Maxi's work is rooted in the values of: Truth, presence and love. He studied under Richard Baker Roshi in the Zen Buddhist monastary Dharma Sangha in the Blackforest. He practices QiGong and Zen meditation. Further influences on his work are based on the theories of C.G. Jung, Michael Singer, Paramahansa Yogananda and David Deida. Currently he's living and working at the Chiemsee in Prien in Germany. Today I'm joined by Katja Markelova. A funny story is how we met. I literally searched for 'somatic wizardry' on Google and landed on her website. It didn't take long for me to reach out to her and we ended up connecting over a Zoom call. Of course I had to invite her onto the Holy Human Podcast! And here we go!
So who is Katja?
She is a somatic healer, educator, and activist. Katja is both a feeler, a healer, a Liminal Space threshold keeper, a Body-whisperer, a Soul-retriever, and a sharp rational thinker and a modern human. She has a skill of creating and holding space in a way that elicits your own wisdom and medicine and amplifies it. Space that connects you to your felt sense and information access from the field. Space of new possibilities and choice. Space where you can take aligned action for the optimal outcome. Space where your reality and body start to fill up and reorient to personal and relational coherence.

Something I find really interesting is the fact, that he's coming from a totally different background than I do, and yet our work seems to have so many parallels. So it really was just a matter of time until he had to appear on the Holy Human Podcast and share his wisdom with you.
