S3 EP 08: Breaking Free from Anxiety: Chelsea's Path to Healing

In this episode, we are thrilled to have Chelsea, a graduate of our Holistic Anxiety Fix Program, sharing her transformative journey of healing anxiety.


Chelsea opens up about her struggles, which began around mid-2020, and how these challenges deeply affected her mental health. She experienced severe symptoms such as stress intolerance, sensitivity to stimuli, shortness of breath, hot flashes, ruminating thoughts, and a pervasive sense of negativity. Despite knowing that life wasn't as bad as her mind and body were telling her, Chelsea found herself feeling stuck and overwhelmed.


During the program, Chelsea undertook various tests and practices that significantly contributed to her recovery. These included:


  • Limbic System Activities: Exercises aimed at addressing and healing the emotional responses tied to trauma.
  • Affirmations: Techniques to rebuild trust in herself and her capacity to heal.
  • Breath Work: Courses and practices that connected her to deeper parts of her spirit, fostering self-trust and healing.

S2 EP 09: The Hormone-Anxiety-Birth Control Connection

In women, hormone imbalance and its popular go-to treatment, hormonal birth control are associated with anxiety more often than not. 

Underlying causes for hormone imbalance are usually poor diet, poor absorption of fats from the diet, stress, gut infections, toxic buildups, mold toxicity, and heavy metal toxicity to name a few. But the real problem starts when you try to fix hormone imbalance with hormone birth control pills instead of addressing the reason why your hormones are out of order in the first place.

These pills contain synthetic estrogens and progesterone-like chemicals called progestins. The synthetic estrogens prevent your body to make natural estrogens. The progestins inhibit LH (Luteinizing Hormone) thus blocking the formation of ovum and progesterone in the body. In the absence of natural progesterone, the body undergoes estrogen dominance and copper toxicity that can result in anxiety.

S3 EP 05: Healing Anxiety Connected to Chronic Lyme

Autumn is one of my ongoing clients whose healing journey is worth sharing. Her anxiety and struggle to keep up with the normal routine of life are mostly attributable to the latent Lyme infection that was swept under the rug by the medical system for 16 straight years.

She was told that it was all in her mind and doctors kept ignoring her intuition of having been infected with Lyme disease until it was too late. The infection had caused too many health complications throughout her body. It wasn’t until the last year when her anxiety went over the roof that she decided to take full charge of her health.

When she met me we did several tests including hair tests, blood work, and GI maps, and found out there were multiple underlying reasons for her disease. Years of untreated Lyme disease had wreaked havoc on her vital systems. At a time, she was contending with gut issues, mold exposure, suppressed immune systems, and medical PTSD.

Her journey signifies that there is rarely a single root cause of anxiety in any given case and we have to dig deep to find out all the layers and interconnections. Although she is back on track to reclaim her life, healing is an ongoing process and consistency is the key. Tune in to listen to her experience in her own words!

S3 EP 04: Dutch Test: Hannah's Story

In this episode, we dive deep into how a specific functional medicine test called DUTCH test can help to restore hormonal balance. I sit down with a hormone health practitioner - Hannah and we chat about how doing the DUTCH has allowed her to dive even deeper into rebalancing her hormones in a way she wasn't able to with general natural strategies alone.

Ever since Hannah hit puberty she had painful periods. Like most women, she went on birth control on and off for almost a decade. At the age of 25, by the end of her birth control journey, she had acne all over her jawline, painful breasts for like a week, insomnia 3 days before her periods, and heavy periods. It wasn’t until she started to learn about holistic nutrition, that she realized how stress can play a huge role in hormonal imbalance. Amazingly, she resolved her symptoms in just 4-6 weeks, through holistic strategies.

But a year ago, she started experiencing breast tenderness around ovulation time and increased occurrence of respiratory infections. She took the DUTCH Test to look into what was going into her body. The results showed that she had slight estrogen dominance, low testosterone, and low cortisol levels. These insights guided her toward making dietary and lifestyle changes to get rid of the symptoms she was having and fix the underlying hormonal imbalance.

In this episode we talk about a topic that is missed by MOST practitioners as a sneaky root cause of anxiety - mold! Part of the reason it is so often missed is that is is not recognized by medical system as a major source of serious health problems, making it more difficult to detect. You can have 'perfect' bloodwork and still have mold illness.

Mycotoxins can enter our body through inhalation, ingestion or skin contact. Once in the body, they trigger inflammatory responses and prolonged inflammation can lead to many serious health issues such as depression, anxiety, heart palpations, panic attacks, OCD, liver damage, sleep disturbances, peripheral neuropathy, movement disorders, and much more.

Welcome to The Holistic Anxiety Fix Podcast! In this episode I talk with Sarah about her amazing transformation through her experience in Holistic Anxiety Fix Program.

Sarah was struggling with postpartum anxiety for two years before she discovered me through my facebook group. She was frustrated, unable to sleep, and really on the edge. She was worried about her work and her role as a mother, as well as her children's health.

Sarah's willingness to take a leap and join the program is what ultimately led her out a potential lifetime of the chaos and struggle.

Together we worked to find the underlying cause of her symptoms. It turned out her house was full of alarmingly high levels of mold. S3 EP 01: Your Brain and Anxiety: An Interview With A Functional Neurologist

This podcast episode is going to change your perspective about anxiety. In this episode, I interview Dr. Jared Seigler who is a functional neurologist. He talks at length about the neurological basis of anxiety and how he uses different healing techniques to cure anxiety.

According to functional neurology, anxiety is one of the primitive responses of our brain. As a result of traumatic brain injury, the brain goes into a reflexive state. When you are anxious, your brain is actually looking out for you. Emotional stress, physical stress, mold and parasites infestation, gut infections, autoimmune disorders, and head injury all can trigger the reflexive part of the brain, brainstem. 

Our brainstem controls our basic reflexes that we can’t consciously control while frontal cortex is responsible for our conscious activities. It turns out our brainstem is often stronger than our cortex, which is why we are sometime unable to control anxiety by conscious thought process. Over time, the learned behavioral reflexes get hardwired in our brain and essentially control us. To heal the brain from toxic patterns, functional neurologists use different activation techniques that stimulate selective parts of the brain. In this episode, my guest is Roxy from Wanderess. She is an expert in a unique technique of energy healing called Biofield Tuning. 

Biofield Tuning is a method that uses different frequency forks on and off the body in the energy field of a person to tune and recalibrate his/her energy. It removes the stuck energy in the body and brings resonance into your frequency. 

We are energy beings and our body has a measurable energy field. This energy field also called aura or magnetic field extends 6 feet out both left and right off of our body and 3 feet above and below our body. Biofield stores trauma, memories, and emotions and this sometimes relates to anxiety. S2 EP 11: A Conventional Health Care Practitioner Dives Into Holistic Healing

This episode tells the success story of a graduate of my Holistic Anxiety Fix program, Sarah Goodsen, who works in the medical field. Her journey and experiences in healing her own anxiety really illustrate the limitations of the conventional medical system.

She experienced awful episodes of anxiety after she went through a traumatic medical event. She would have panic attacks all the time and stopped eating, resulting in the loss of 30 pounds of weight. She also went to therapy and to different doctors but there was no respite to her symptoms. She also saw some functional wellness practitioners but was not satisfied with the pace of their healing methods. Her inquisitive nature and desire to know the answers led her to my program.

Working together, when we dug a little deeper we found out that she had mineral imbalances, hormonal issues, and metal toxicities. We focused on optimal levels of hormones and minerals and worked to restore optimal functioning of her physiological systems. During this period, she went from severe clinical anxiety to no anxiety.

She’s currently in her advanced year of completing her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Certification and specializes in serving individuals healing from complex developmental and sexual trauma from a somatic and attachment focused lens. 

In our conversation, we explore how somatic therapy can be a totally different lens for healing anxiety. She explains how somatic therapy can help enhance the mind’s connection with the body. It’s considered a bottom-up process where the work is with the body; the nervous system and the tissues - to help them have a different experience. This way, the brain starts to interpret experiences differently and we can rewire our nervous system and change the mind and body patterns associated with anxiety.

S2 EP 05: How Jessica went from panic and ER visits to calmness

This is the inspiring story of Jessica Sharp who was able to get rid of anxiety through the Holistic Anxiety Fix program. Before she discovered me through a Facebook ad, she had suffered from debilitating anxiety for 15 years. She had panic attacks and suffered from anxiety. She also had anxiety about her physical symptoms, which often sent her into loops. Jessica was determined to heal. She did not accept the lack of solutions offered through conventional medication and was convinced that there was more to her anxiety than merely a mental illness that she had to learn to live with. My message of getting to the root cause really resonated with her, and she enrolled in the program. During this interview, she shared that I was her last hope. Across this 12-week support program, we worked on various aspects contributing to her recovery such as mindset reset, breath work, addressing gut issues, and correcting mineral imbalances. This multi-step program gradually restored her vitality and now she feels grateful that she made this choice despite her initial hesitation. She now works as a coach and a Vestibular Therapist. She beautifully explains the role of the inner ear and its interconnections with other body parts and functions, different types of dizziness, the crossover of dizziness and anxiety, and her way of working with dizziness patients. Dizziness can be of many different forms, of which the chronic dizziness related to the inner ear is more likely to develop anxiety in patients. Sometimes it’s hard for women to figure out whether dizziness is causing the anxiety or it’s the other way around. S2 EP 02: When trauma healing isn't enough: Paula's Story

In this episode, Paula shares her transformational journey that really signifies holistic healing. Paula takes us back to childhood as we explore the origins of her mental health struggles.  She endured cultural shock and trauma as a teenage immigrant, which culminated in the diagnosis of depression at the age of 17. She went on and off medication before focusing fully on holistic healing, realizing that medication was not the solution.

Paula also did a lot of trauma work and underwent spiritual and emotional healing. But she was still unwell and was searching for the missing piece to the holistic approach of her treatment. After discovering me, she started addressing physiological conditions such as undiagnosed celiac disease and the resulting inflammation as one of the contributing factors to her struggles.  This worked like magic and her energy and vitality recovered like never before. Since then, she has been undergoing detoxification and is well on her way to completely eliminating meds for good. Tune in and listen to the inspiring story of her incredible journey.
