Eat. Move. Sleep with Holistic Nutritionist Brenda Wollenberg

In this episode, Holistic Nutritionist and wellness author Brenda Wollenberg will teach you how genetics can influence your health. Brenda Wollenberg’s area of focus is analyzing and interpreting genetic profiles to design personalized holistic wellness programs. She has been featured on TV and podcasts, has had articles and newspaper columns published in a wide range of print media, and enjoys teaching in a variety of educational and corporate settings. Author of Overweight Kids in a Toothpick World—a practical manual for families dealing with childhood obesity—and Eat. Sleep. Move. For Your Genetic Body Type: How to physically and emotionally care for a unique you, she loves to co-create, with her clients, a personalized per body type and genetics, whole body (physical, emotional and spiritual) path to wellness. Brenda’s decades of experience as a social worker, co-leader of a faith community and nutritionist allow her to uniquely and compassionately help clients not only "get" the science of their genetics but also assist them in "seeing" patterns of behavior that may have contributed to unhelpful gene expression. Then, Brenda helps clients "shift" that behaviour—be it food plan, exercise, stress management or supplements—to one that is more supportive of overall health. Bottom line? Wellness—especially when it is one-size-fits-all dictated—can be confusing and ineffective. Brenda makes it simple, personal and doable. So, you can be your best you! As someone who practices what she believes (both as a proud mama of 5 adult children and Nana to a growing gaggle of “grands”), Brenda is not just about helping you be the best version of yourself - she is about helping you understand precisely how to get there.

Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You with Chef Elyce

In this episode, you will learn how chef, business owner, and plant-based visionary Elyce Jacobson is making waves in the culinary world.

With her classical French culinary education, Elyce has transformed her expertise into the mastery of vegan cooking. "In the 27 years of my culinary career, I have created a catering arm for a very successful existing NYC food business, owned several businesses myself, and I have provided personal cheffing and catering services for hundreds of clients. At the heart of my career as a chef is my desire to help people. Driven by this desire, I have guided countless clients on their journeys to healthier lifestyles. The last business that I owned was Skinny Buddha Organic Kitchen, where I transitioned from solely organic, to organic, gluten free and completely plant-based. My business operated out of Mount Kisco for 12 years and Scarsdale for 4 years. Skinny Buddha provided easy access to healthy, vegan food for the community and had a loyal client base. Now, I am transitioning to the next chapter of my career as a private chef and vegan consultant. I am helping individuals that want to add more plants to their plate sand restaurants that want to add more plant-based recipes to their menus. With this work, I hope to play a part in the changing landscape of plant-based cuisine that is currently taking place throughout the culinary world."

Overcoming Autoimmune Disease & Chronic Illness Naturally with Jenna Hastie

In this episode, you will discover how Jenna Hastie, autoimmune & chronic illness root cause specialist, public speaker and international best selling author went from bedridden & suicidal to healed. Jenna Hastie's personal journey, a poignant tale of resilience, began in 2012 when mystery symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, lethargy, and migraines took hold. Despite seeking answers, doctors dismissed these concerns, attributing them to the challenges of motherhood. It wasn't until 2016, during her stint as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, that Jenna finally received diagnoses of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. Transitioning from the conventional path, Jenna embarked on a profound mission—to unravel the mysteries of autoimmune and chronic diseases. With a keen focus on hidden triggers often overlooked by Western medicine, she delved into the complexities of conditions like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Jenna's expertise extended beyond fixed or irreversible root causes, exploring the enigma that eludes conventional understanding. Jenna invites others to recognize the immense power within—the power to paint a masterpiece of resilience and strength on the canvas of past experiences. Her message resonates: the journey of healing involves synchronising the dimensions of being—mind, body, and soul. With unwavering conviction, Jenna implores individuals to embrace their ability to transform pain into power and challenges into catalysts for growth.

Creating Confidence in the Kitchen with Coach Kristy Baranovskis

In this episode, you will learn how Coach Kristy Baranovskis overcame emotional eating, changed her relationship to food, and gained confidence in the kitchen.

"From the time I can remember, I struggled with food. Food was the center of our family gatherings growing up. Over time, food became a comfort and also what I turned to when I was bored. The problem was the food I turned to was empty in calories and void of nutritional value. Sometimes you have an “ah-ha” moment. Mine happened on my 30th birthday while visiting my brother. I clearly remember standing on his deck, thinking that I did not want to eat like this any longer! Something had to change! I was so unhappy with myself. I was unhappy with the way I felt. I was unhappy with the example I was setting for my daughter."

Using the Tools of Yoga to Overcome Adversity & Thrive with Nicholas Weir

Nicholas Amritnam Weir grew up as an anxious, insecure and angry kid in Massachusetts during the 90’s. He used sports as a way to channel energy and alleviate frustration, however, the lack of concern he had for himself led to numerous physical injuries.

In 2001, at the age of 22, he was diagnosed bipolar, which seemed to explain his intense emotions as a young man. This diagnosis seemed to be the nail in the coffin, so to speak. Along with his physical injuries, life seemed to be over and further emotional turmoil would ensue.

In this episode you will learn how Amritnam turned his life around when he discovered the practice of yoga and used this ancient wisdom to heal.

Although Amritnam was hesitant at first to embrace the idea that yoga could help, as it was quite different from his upbringing, he eventually embraced the practice wholeheartedly. After dabbling in yoga for years Amritnam completed his first yoga teacher training in 2015 and then quickly completed another in 2016. The second training, which he completed with Guru Dharam Kalsa, opened his eyes to the magic of yoga and how we create our own reality. There was no turning back after that; the magic of yoga had him hooked and he dove in 100% to begin healing at the deepest of levels.

Amritnam has learned to navigate life in a different way. He has rewired his brain to understand not only how to handle the stress he does encounter but how to circumvent unnecessary stress so that he can use his energy for more worthwhile pursuits and live a life beyond his dreams. He no longer uses pharmaceutical medications to manage his emotions, but rather relies on his own innate ability to heal (the same ability we all have) and thrive in life.

Amritnam's goal with his company Yoga Strategy is to help people understand the deeper aspects of yoga so they too can foster the courage and strength to heal their mind, body and soul and live a life of fulfillment. He continually works with experts in the field like Ashok Kumar Malhotra and studies the work of people like Joe Dispenza in order to bring the most updated scientific findings to his students.
