Duke University’s Longitudinal Bundled Program
In this episode of the Augment, hosts Jenna A. Bernstein, MD and David C. Landy, MD, PhD are joined by AAHKS Past Presidents Michael P. Bolognesi, MD and William A. Jiranek, MD to discuss the development of the longitudinal arthritis bundled care model they have developed at Duke University. The program came from their experience in shorter episode-based bundles, and delivers surgical and non-surgical care for a year or as many as five years. The patients’ care in this bundle is managed by physical therapists overseeing all aspects of arthritis care and works on determining whether a patient is in need of surgery or not.
