Perioperative Pain Management in TJA
In this episode of the Augment, hosts Dr. Wolfstadt and Dr. Landy are joined by Dr. Hah and Dr. Khan, anesthesiologist and pain management physicians, to discuss research in perioperative pain specific to total joint arthroplasty. They start with chronic painful total knee patient where the pain can’t be easily identified, potential sources of chronic pain and different modalities to treat them. There is also discussion of when to move from thinking about acute to chronic pain and what the future may hold for chronic pain care.
