Long ago, there was a beautiful, desolate place where native Karankawa Indians roamed the land, migratory birds soared the skies, and sea turtle hatchlings made their way to the Gulf of Mexico. Today, we know this place as South Padre Island! The South Padre Island Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the City of South Padre Island celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the City’s incorporation! Hi! It's your friend Jesse from South Padre Islander. I wanted to start this podcast because- I’m passionate about island life. I believe that our little island located in the southern tip of Texas is truly a treasure. For all of you paradise-lovers…the beach landscape is amazing!
My goal for this podcast is to share a little bit of how South Padre Island came to be, share some very interesting facts that you might or might not know. There really are hidden treasures and cool finds- so I’ll be sending you on the right path to that, too! Lastly, I’ll be sharing some really great stories that go beyond the second sandbar!
